Very nice Choism!!! :)
What kind of wood is the exotic? Do you notice any difference in the hits between the 2 woods? I procrastinated too long and ended up having to settle for a 2nd cherry PD when the other woods became unavailable.

wow. walnut? true beauty in nature.

maybe if demand slows down some day Tom will allow for custom units again. Another PD in walnut would be awesome.

At one time I thought demand might level off as the PD was more or less a FC phenomenon and in a way it's still rooted through here but I don't see this happening any time soon based on google results outside of this forum.

Ia! Ia! Vapor Fthagn!
ever since ive had my PD i have been grinding my herb to a nice consistency. Not too Fine, but ground up good...
but as of late I've gotten a strain of some really nice fluffy herb. Just a tiny bit damp. But, not damp enough too keep the herb from just breaking apart if you pinch it, just crushes into itself nicely. So with this stuff I haven't been grinding any of it at all. Just more or less murdering the bud by just stabbing it with the PD tube repeatedly. Packs quite nicely into the bowl, with good airflow... and nothing falls out compared too when i used herb that has been ground up.
think I found a new fun thing too do whenever I get herb that isnt too dense. Slowly poke it into oblivion.
And since it is ever so slighly damp... such nice flavor before the vapor starts up..

Well, came home from a really nice run-away weekend with my husband and the PD was waiting on me. First impression (besides wow, Pretty!) was it is heavier than I thought it would be- very nice. I will post pics soon.

Tom- thank you, it's wonderful! :D
And Tom, though you've prob heard about this- we spotted something down in southern KY I'd never seen before- ambrosia maple. I thought it was just really pretty spalted maple, until I spotted the worm holes. Very cool wood. One woodworker made a fantastic rocking chair out of it. Nice!!

Info- http://www.heirloomwoodcrafting.com/sawmilling_ambrosia.htm

OK, enough on the non-PD wood fixation, time to try the new PD, play with the buzz butter and just stare at it for a while ;)

Welcome to the family, Indigal.

Just back from a run-away Thursday and Friday. Going for car service, and the usual run around. :2c: But the drive was nice. And a great Chinese lunch (delivered to our Motel 6 room, haha, not high cuisine, but god eats).

Some nice fall colors. :)

Had to include this one. We love wood! Not just playing with words.

We are from southern Ohio and Kentucky area, but I have never heard of the Ambrosia Maple, very nice.

We got two pieces in the last batch (of Maple) that had this sort of 'spalting', the other was lots better, nicely figured. This one is light weight, bored too easy too, I won't use it, the other was tight and the right weight.

That, or, "Furry Snappin' Turtle". Tough little bitch.

BTW my other Scotty was a brindle male, named Chivas (or Dog, what we all called him, he was Billy's favorite, they got along very well  ).

All teeth, and everything looks like a chew toy!

Enjoying the PD very much. Had typed up a response and Firefox crashed.. so this is shorter!
I'm used to the Iolite, which is nice and portable and I like it, but I love this:

Took this tonight after we got home from Berea (saw a band we've loved for 20 years, for the first time.) Unpacked it, and warmed it up.. buzz butter smells good. I love beeswax.. It does look more red in the pic because of the flash and camera settings that I was too lazy to adjust. The flash also enhances the groovy look  . Can't wait to actually see it in the sunshine. It's been a mind-bendingly, planets-aligned weekend. Music, nature, weather, cornbread & bourbon. :peace:

Of all the pictures I have seen of PD's the with walnut and cherry back to back is my favorite. nice pic.

I talked about talking pictures of my house when I bought it and do a "Where Is PD". Like where is walkdo and see how quickly you could locate it..... probably will never get around to it, maybe some day.

Thanks! Had to go make it a bit bigger.. It's too pretty. The flash does make it pop a bit. What's cool is that this little thing matches the bookcase and other woods in the living room perfectly. I'm on wood overload :brow: this weekend. Been looking at everyone's handiwork, it's nice to hold one. Especially when it's cozy warm. :)

Haha, I like that idea IAK, we should have a sticky somewhere with contributions from everyone who has one

Beautiful PD!
It seems like the more I see this little guy and the more I hear about what it can do, the more it fits exactly what I want in a vape...:p

I'm enjoying my patchouli & ylang-ylang essential oils in it this morning. It is going to get full time use, with the oils and vape-ables. No more candle-warmers for me to knock over!

To SneezyJ- I was a long time dug-out one hitter user, before I started collecting glass. This is a perfect one-hitter vap (actually 2-3 hits on light loads.) Just what we needed for the house. Very easy to dose without over doing it, unless you want to! I had a habit of over doing it on the IO and baking myself silly.

I could see myself having more than one around the house. Someday.. ;)

Ok, last pic, in the sun- spreading the nice smells.

Tom, We've never been out to the NW.. looks wonderful, that's another someday. And, yep- we'd be the type to stop at the logging museum.. :)

The spalted maple would be very nice for a PD, same pattern with the spalted poplar we find around here once in a while (nice purple highlights occasionally too)- reminds me of Japanese suminagashi art where you float a drop of ink ink in water and bring the paper through it.

Yeah. I liken the PD to the Fender Telecaster. Unassuming and minimal but incredibly versatile and powerful once you know how to use it.
Like Jimmy Page - he sold thousands of Les Pauls by recording with a Tele.

Welcome to Fuck Combustion.

There is a thread dealing with availability and such over in the Vapor Lounge.

Short answer, no. ;)

And I think a lot (some?) of the early stuff was played on a 5 Watt Champ.

I reckon that would be a VERY nice bong for a PD setup.

It's definitely no 100ml, but at 28cm (my Roor is 35cm) I think it would make an awesome vaporbong.

You can't go wrong with EHLE, the 3.2mm glass is bonus :D

So i have some questions about the PD also ;)

I had one for some time but had to sell it, the PD wass very effective with small loads but i
had some things that i wasn't so happy with. But maybe now it is solved ;)

So i noticed the drag of the PD i really had to draw very hard it was not so easy drawing as
on a aromed or ssv.

The other thing i didn't like it the fact that the herbs tasted a bit like wood.

Do most people have this drag and wood taste ?

I am looking for a new delivery system for on the road and for small doses so i would love to
buy a PD again because i love the customer service and love for the product by Tom and Pam..

Thnx ;)
