First off, thanks for the update, Tom. I know you enjoy communicating with customers but letting vapenow handle North American sales has to be a huge load off your shoulders. More time to build! (Hope the new shop is coming along well)

Already we have 2 people bitching about the price increase... Ok, you've had your chance to vent, that wasn't unexpected. Now, I don't want to see any more posts about it. The PD is a still a steal at $180 and still costs more and takes longer to make than a $700 dollar Volcano. Let's show some class here please.

While I have no problem with the price increase, I just wish I could still get the exotic woods, though I do recall reading about them being discontinued. I went ahead and got a billy bowl, it's nice that shipping is included. I just hope I don't need to stare at it too long before it's other half can arrive, though I'm sure it will be worth the wait, even if I don't get to use it for my birthday

But these guys are right. This vape could sell for a hell of a lot more. At 180 it's worth every penny, and considering how damn efficient it is, it'll pay for itself in no time, and then it'll start putting money in your pocket, 'cause you'll be spending less on weed.

So stop bitchin' and pony up...............not only will it get you high, but it'll keep you healthy, AND it'll save you money. Win, win, win............

Its sort of bummer that your loosing the one on one contact with all the customers, that was as much enjoyable as the vape itself. Your personal touch with all the customers will be missed. But if thats what it takes to continue selling this awesome little beauty, then so be it. After all, why do it if your not going to enjoy doing it?

While I may not agree with the above posters approach, his point has merit, as this is the sole reason I have not, and now can't place an order for my own PD..

i paid 150 for my first one and plan on getting a second down the road.
30 bucks, hell even 100 bucks more won't deter me at all.
you get what you pay for in this world

it takes the man 4 hrs to make one, plus at least another hr
with the shipping/payment bs
so now you have 5 hrs of his time at 30 bucks an hr before materials??

150 to 180 isn't that bad, with all the steller reviews on this product. sucks about some people not being able to get one due to how things were handle, but really, cant blame tom and pam, it keeps EVERYONE on an even playing field for when they went on sale. kinda happy mines on the way and was one of the last ones to get it for 150 low blow? dont worry, 192 canadian, plus 22ish for duty, works out to about 180 american plus exchange rate.

This vape is still below it's price point, the fact it's hand made makes it worth more, not everyone can afford handmade quality, but thats what this is. I'm sure the demand is still going to be huge, which is likely the reason for the price increase in the first place, so that vape now can handle the selling aspect of it from now on.
I'm not so much dissappointed as so damn anxious, I have pretty much given up smoking just waiting for this thing, perhaps it will make it better in the end?

Sorry, but this is my experience in dealing with PD......if you don't like it that's fine....but my words were truthful and honest. I realize that I have just gotten caught up in a transition period, and that my timing is unfortunate. However, it doesn't change the fact that they have been sending out an email to all inquiries stating that they would take orders on the 1st and 15th at a very specific time. Since that isn't happening.....the email is dishonest.......regardless of the circumstances that surround it. If I tell you I'm going to do one thing......and then turn around and do something entirely different, then I lied to you......simple as that. However, none of this changes my desire to own a PD. I believe that after reading this forum that Tom and Pammy are quality individuals selling a great product. However, it doesn't change the experience I've had dealing with the ordering process......which has been less than satisfactory.

Your analogy about trying to get a custom glass piece the second you want it is a little ridiculous also BTW. The PD is handmade and a beautiful piece of work.......but it isn't custom.

The generic e-mail response was conceived and written with the best intentions and was honestly what we intended to do at the time it was mailed... However it didn't seem possible to limit sales that way. Waiting to somehow cut off sales at a certain number. Just would not work. And things changed rapidly over the last 24-48 hours. We could not contact everyone who had previously e-mailed us in this short time and do all the other things we had to do.


An earlier post made assumptions about wholesale pricing, Those figures are wrong and will not be revealed.

You started off very negatively by calling those of us who really like our PD's, fanboys, which has a really negative connotation, so I wouldn't be so surprised at the response you got from vtac. It was just a very condescending way to start off a post. You may as well have said, "I know that what I'm about to say is gonna piss you off, but fuck you. I'm gonna say it anyway".

There's are other ways to be truthful about your experience wthout having to come off that way.

I have to throw in my because I have been waiting patiently along w/many others for the PD to sell again and I too thought today was the day. As a business owner myself, I completely empathize with them struggling w/the 'good' kinda problem to have - too much business. I just wish they had handled things a bit more diplomatically is all.

As for Vapenow, isn't there a discount code somewhere on this site for them? The $30 doesn't bother me but, I would have at least stated something about the cost of partnering, materials and living going up (no doubt it is for them as it is for us). So it?s cherry wood only once the sites gets more units to sell, I guess.
Can't we just buy now and wait in line? Even if it is the end of summer, at least I'll know I have something to look forward to, I guess I don?t agree w/the idea of no long lead times ? if they want to close the shop or take vacation, the dates could just push out further ? Dell does it w/laptops and the same could be done w/vapes.

Anyway, after all this hype, I hope the unit is as good as billed! I mean if nobody cared, this thread wouldn't be about 100 pages! It's all growing pains and it's all good.

As far as vtac and nobilo are concerned, I fall in the middle. Nobilo, there isn?t a 1st amendment on the internet; anyone can pull anything you say at anytime and it would be as if you hadn?t said anything at all ? and it would be w/in their private right to do so on a private forum such as FC. Vtac, the fastest way to kill a community is to stick a gag in its mouth, especially if everyone just needs to vent a little, which is understandable when the hottest nightclub in town just told everyone outside that we still can?t come in yet.

Ok ? On to PD questions ? how many average draws do people get before they change the tube out? I?m sure it?s personal preference and varies but I?m trying to compare it to the other vapes I?ve tried. Also, I?d like to get my unit a darker color, now that it appears the wood selection is limited, how can I do this w/out huffing varnish?

to answer your last question, the pd gets darke with age, when i first got mine it was nearly white it was so light, but has since ambered up quite nicely. it may not be close to something like a dark wallnut, but it blends in with most wood furniture. also as the wood darkens the lines of the wood become alot more pronounced. now how many girls get better looking as they age?
