@Siebter You are correct about the ibuprofen,it is not an issue. It was a misinformation spread by a French minister :).
Looked back into folk medicine for ailments for viral infections. Milled some ginger, turmeric and black pepper with honey, taking one spoon on empty stomach daily as a preventative.Maaan that stuff makes you go on fire on the inside, bbuuuuuuuuurn viral suckers :D..

Yeah, the Ibu-issue was actually hard to research, since even the WHO and (as you wrote) the French minister for health were mentioning it.

Your recipe is absolutely excellent, I often drink something quite similar right before I'm having my running exercise when it's cold outside (lemon juice, ginger juice, tumeric & apple juice for the taste). Such a great boost for your health. :-)

You also want to take zinc losenges if you can find them. It helps boost immune system to fight this. You will find them in the vitamin section.

keep your shit clean. I sanitize my hands every time I get into my car. Go into the store. Grab just what I need. Sanitize my hands and be gone. My city only has 23 cases right now. But province at at about 240.

I'm up in northern northern New England in a de-criminalized but no retail state. I've got enough great stuff for three weeks, or four with self-rationing. The nearest adult dispensary is almost three hours from here. I'm wondering if I should drive to Mass--TOMORROW--at 6:00AM to get there for the 9-10am Over Sixty Hour. They certainly will never deliver to here and who knows how much longer they'll even be open, especially to out-of-staters, and who knows how much longer until we're under order to Stay Home. Is pot acquisition a "necessity"? I'd really feel more comfortable if I had a bit more shatter and some wax, and maybe a bit more flower too, or may try the "moonrocks." I'm not greedy. Just being a good Boy Scout: Be Prepared.

Up till now I've been doing an online order for pickup and it has taken me a couple days of checking before what I want is in inventory. Due to the virus I decided to try an online order for delivery for the first time. I'm not going to the dispensary and expose myself and ultimately my family. Been trying to set up that delivery order for a week but nothing I want has been in stock. I've got enough on hand to hang in there for a month.

I did an online chat with the dispensary asking if there was something else I should do other than checking each day for inventory and was told...... deliveries are taking up to 3 days due to delivery demand and there really is nothing other than checking daily that they could offer up.

If this keeps up I'm going to have to go with the "Beggars can't be choosers" approach and take what I can get.

I wish there was a Cannabis drive through with plenty in stock that included a happy meal.....

Subject: Stanford Notes on Coronavirus

The new Coronavirus may not show sign of infection for many days. How can you know if you are infected? By the time you have fever and/or cough and go to the hospital, the lung is usually 50% fibrosis.

Taiwan experts provide a simple self-check that we can do every morning: Take a deep breath and hold it for more than 10 seconds. If you do this successfully without coughing, without discomfort, stiffness or tightness, there is no fibrosis in the lungs; it basically indicates no infection. In critical times, please self-check every morning in an environment with clean air.

Serious excellent advice by Japanese doctors treating COVID-19 cases: Everyone should ensure your mouth & throat are moist, never dry. Take a few sips of water every 15 minutes at least. Why? Even if the virus gets into your mouth, drinking water or other liquids will wash them down through your throat and into the stomach. Once there, your stomach acid will kill all the virus. If you don't drink enough water regularly, the virus can enter your windpipe and then the lungs. That's very dangerous.

Please send and share this with family and friends. Take care everyone and may the world recover from this Coronavirus soon.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT - CORONAVIRUS:
1. If you have a runny nose and sputum, you have a common cold.
2. Coronavirus pneumonia is a dry cough with no runny nose.
3. This new virus is not heat-resistant and will be killed by a temperature of just 26/27 degrees C. (About 77 degrees F.) It hates the Sun.
4. If someone sneezes with it, it goes about 10 feet before it drops to the ground and is no longer airborne.
5. If it drops on a metal surface it will live for at least 12 hours - so if you come into contact with any metal surface, wash your hands as soon as you can with a bacterial soap.
6. On fabric it can survive for 6-12 hours. normal laundry detergent will kill it.
7. Drinking warm water is effective for all viruses. Try not to drink liquids with ice.
8. Wash your hands frequently as the virus can only live on your hands for 5-10 minutes, but - a lot can happen during that time - you can rub your eyes, pick your nose unwittingly and so on.
9. You should also gargle as a prevention. A simple solution of salt in warm water will suffice.
10. Can't emphasis enough - drink plenty of water!

THE SYMPTOMS:
1. It will first infect the throat, so you'll have a sore throat lasting 3/4 days
2. The virus then blends into a nasal fluid that enters the trachea and then the lungs,
causing pneumonia. This takes about 5/6 days further.
3. With the pneumonia comes high fever and difficulty in breathing.
4. The nasal congestion is not like the normal kind. You feel like you're drowning. It's imperative you then seek immediate attention.
Holy misinformation Batman!

Got up at 5am(oy!) and on the road at 6. Arrived at the big dispensary in Mass at 8:40am, twenty minutes before opening with the first hour for folks over 60 years old. The line of doddering elders, which I fit right into, was already around the corner, though that's not saying much as security made everyone stand 6 feet from each other. The place is the size of a small supermarket, but they only allowed four of us in at a time with lines on the floor at six foot intervals. They've installed six huge refrigerator size exhaust ventilators. Only every other budtender slot was used and we were required to give and discuss as needed our orders from eight or ten feet away, only coming forward to show our ID at the beginning and hand over our cash and get our goods at the end. All customers are limited a maximum of 1/4oz of flower, but unlimited concentrates, tinctures, and edibles. Apparently us East Coasters are a bit cannaconservative, still mostly into flower.

Since I already have a great if too little stash, I was focused on filling in holes. I came away with Golden Cobra wax(S), Skywalker wax(I), Bootylicious rosin(H), Durban Poison flower(S), Amnesia Haze cartridge(S), and Headband cartridge(I). On the way home I stopped for more beer(Lord Hobo variety pack), more groceries, and then before arriving home, for what will probably be my last take out/restaurant meal for a while, a delicious smoked brisket burrito. Now I'm freezing chopped green peppers and hamburgs.

Every place I stopped I asked people what they've heard and what they think is going to happen. Most folks think interstate travel will be banned on Monday and that our state will direct us to stay home except to deal with necessities for weeks or even a couple of months. So I feel good that I made this serious effort--getting up early is not my thing!--of prepping. The stuff certainly won't go to waste, except me :).

This is the most insane thing I've ever experienced. We are fucked. I haven't touched the stuff all day, but now that I've put all my preparations away, the smoking lamp(or vape!) is lit.

For probably last time in a while I made the 2-1/2 hr pilgrimage to (central) Grassachusetts yesterday, hit 2 stores early afternoon. First had about 45 min. wait, same 6' spacing marks, and the other was mercifully only about 10 min. Online ordering only, for pickup.
On the way up, wife and I listened to our Governor Cuomo announce NY State was "closing the valve all the way", effective Sunday eve. Glad we made the trip.
Oddly, we both enjoyed our 44th wedding anniversary road trip. Life's simple pleasures...in trying times.

As my addition to the conglomerate of suggestions herein, which run both true and false, sane and not-so-sane, my personal superstitious contrivance for self preservation is that I will (as always) keep all my soft tissue areas coated with vapor, effectively blocking the virus from entry into the body. Easy-peasy.
Forget that water drinking thing! I hope to be around to report back on this in a few months (or not! yikes!) but...in the meantime don't try this til my trial results are in.

Makes about as much sense as the idiotic nonsense we get from Washington.

Happy 44th! to you and the Ms.

PS: Interesting that we both went to Mass, from two different directions. Also, re: your name here vapviking: My second home is in northern Newfoundland, around the corner from the only confirmed Viking site in the Western Hemisphere, Lanse aux Meadows.

By my estimates, if we did nothing - 15% of the world population would perish before immunity would weaken the virus. Okay, that's worst case.

I'm hoping we get a glimpse of (at least a theatrical) Lanse aux Meadows in the final season of Vikings! Sounds like a beautiful place.
My viking ties are by dna (unconfirmed, like everything else here!) not geography.
I was made in the usa, using 100% Swedish parts.

The daily Klepto-mercial? (I may have just coined a new term here...). Could they all stand a little closer to each other, please?
I clicked Ignore on those peeps.

Reads to me like they wanted to wrap vaping in with with smoking. My 'excuse' is that active cilia helps remove the virus along with sputum.

The lethal explosion of virus in the lungs is what leads to death. I want to give it visitor a very unwelcome environment to replicate in.

I am wanting to know anyone on FC that comes up positive. Seriously, share the data if you can!

Here's a Redditor who tested positive. Nevermind, they deleted their post, my apologies.

The deleted post:
I recovered from a mild case of COVID-19. I found vaping (and especially smoking) made the recovery take longer. I kept feeling like I was getting better and then whenever I vaped/smoked I started feeling really shitty again. I don't know exactly what the connection is, but I think it's best to avoid at the moment. Be safe everyone.

Edit: Just wanted to add, I've been using edibles as well and they haven't seemed to cause the same negative effects. So it's clearly a lung issue.

Edit: Another thing to clarify.. someone posted an article below showing that THC may suppress immune function, regardless of how it's consumed. So, edibles may not actually be a solution.

I think i may have had covid in january even though many say thats impossible.

I feel like something has been different with my lungs since.

When I was sick my lung symptoms were a burning feeling, and I feel like I had a ton of shit in my lungs that wouldn't come up. also when i would cough and nothing would happen it hurt bad! but luckily I didn't have coughing fits or anything and could not cough f i wanted for the most part... so I would cough to try to get shit out my lung and nothing came out... it felt like... ... it felt like if my lungs were being pushed past max capacity... even though i was literally exhaling.

I felt like I had a lot in my lungs even after I was sick...

If it wasn't covid it was a really weird flu unlike anything I've had before... I kept thinking how strange it was because the symptoms were so weird and in a strange order. Like I never had a runny nose or cold-like symptoms.

Only intake when you need it and/or use edibles if you can.

Funny you say that. I said the same thing a few weeks ago. For 3-4 days I was down and hard. I was spitting up nasty stuff and then ended up with a blood clot in my lung. X rays and CT scans showed it. Not to mention the fibrosis I didn’t know I had. Mind you explains the periodic chest pain in my life.

I started with sweats sore throat. Lethargic. Body pains. Fever. Trouble sleeping. Stuffed up face. I had everything under the sun. But the spitting up was weird. And you don’t do that with covid. So probably wasn’t it for me.

I been vaping CBD sativa. That is it. My anxiety is through the roof. I am a doomsday preper. I still have to be in court and shit. Not happy at all. Plus I have my ex wife still living at home. It’s a disaster. I stocked up and booze and have 15oz of my pot. I’m loaded.

A prepper with only 15 ounces? How are you prepared to get through next week? ;)

I think i may have had covid in january even though many say thats impossible.

The virus was known and named by late Dec 2019.
Canada was screening flights from China by Jan 21 2020

Perhaps unlikely but not impossible.
On average 7000 people a day experience something with 1:1,000,000 odds
and one (un)lucky individual 1:1,000,000,000

Pity you couldn't know for certain. Knowing that now would be like having a super power.
