We are still targeting mid/late June as the official release - the date will become more firm once we get our final enclosure (shipped out today :D)

As long as everything fits the way it should, then the June date is still a go.

@bonsai006 - the tree and showerdome HydraTubes are both mid level tubes and not the ones that come with the base unit. We will be offering them at discounted rate to early buyers of the Cloud.

If you look at what SGW and VG pieces typically go for (see links below for examples), I think you will be pleasantly surprised at the way we have priced our HydraTubes

We've been working out new systems and assembly techniques with our glass blowers in order to make our tubes more efficiently and make them more cost effective to pass along the savings to the consumer.

Alright, so can you get like a unit, and a mid level tube package? or do you have to get the unit and standard tube then buy mid level tube?

Oh yea! You can get them packaged for entry level, mid level, etc etc

We are still working out pricing for the introductory offer where we offer the Showerdome or Tree HydraTube as a set at a discounted rate to our first customers - I don't want to give out the pricing right now in case it does go higher, but for sure, it will not be more than 400 with a Tree or Showerdome HydraTube.

will your release be like the vhw, where units are upgraded as time goes on? or can you promise us that your product will be finalized on the release date?

can you give us an estimate on how much each bowl size holds? As i dont know if you've done any r & d on the single sized bowl but will it conserve herb like the pd? aka the famous .025 bowl

I am loving the design of this vape! A vape made from the people...for the people :D I will be getting one of these shortly after launch. It will be my first variable-temp vape, so i think it will be AWESOME for re-vaping spent herb at a higher temp.

I am also very interested in the size and release date of the "1-hitter" bowl. Can you possibly give us a size reference on the herb chamber?

finalized - this design has gone through at least 19 revs already
Good question

I hope this is true and that SM and his team have thoroughly worked out all the kinks.

I am pretty exited about this

A new revolutionary vaping experience,

100% glass vapor path

18mm joint for massive airflow=massive hits

2 minute heat up time

2-3 year warranty!

what else can you ask for

anyone try "elf spice" through it?

Happy Sunday fellow vaporists!

Not sure what "elf spice" is, but if it is worth vaping, then we might as well do a few test runs with it. Can you send me a link that has more info on elf spice?

As far as the one hitter and party bowls go, they are on the roadmap and we haven't spent time developing it as most of our efforts have been focused on other areas of the Cloud to ensure that each aspect of the vaporizer has been thoroughly thought through for a superior vapor experience.

My thoughts for the one hitter would probably be a bowl that holds 2x-3x that of the PD stems. The party bowl will most likely hold twice as much as the standard bowl.

Towards the end of next week, should have Cloud v 20 ready to rock and roll. More videos to come!

SM55 i have a question. I read earlier for durability testing you had a cloud you left on for a very long extended period of time. This is good. Have you tested a Cloud by turning it off and on 50 times a day or something also? Just wondering how it may hold up to many sessions a day; on off on off on off, ect. Thanks.

Elf spice is Dimethyltryptamine, "DMT"

Sorry fellas, I don't think you can use the Cloud with DMT, that's not our type of thing.

Onto some more exciting news. Jeff, the brains behind the Cloud, just received another set of prototype enclosures. They got the finish right, now we just have to tweak the color of the Heat Shield (the bluish pieces)

Jeff will begin working on the thermal controls with the updated enclosures, once we get the algorithm down, then I'll post some videos of the new Cloud in action! :D

It's refreshing to see an American company actually design a vaporizer from the ground up for a change rather than using off the shelf items in a basement somewhere. It even has an all new delivery method with the glass waterpipe plugged in directly to the unit.

The pricing is very fair and competitive when compared to other glass waterpipe vaporizers, look at the Herborizer and De Verdamper which are just basically a cartridge heater or nichrome coil stuck inside a glass tube and served up with some no name glass for a whopping $500 or more.

So what do we call this method of delivery? We have whip vapes, bag vapes, I quess you could call it a direct draw but that doesn't really give it any credit

IAmKrazy2,
Lookin' sooo good! The enclosure is lookin sharp, can't wait to see the actual finished product now. It is bound to be very eye catching when paired with one of those neat lookin' hydratubes.

@iamkrazy2 - sorry for not answering your question the first time around, my apologies.

We have not specifically done the test that you suggested but I have asked Jeff to start doing those tests.

When we initially began sourcing our switches, dials, etc etc - we decided very early that quality parts would be much better for us from a warranty stand point. We spared no expense when picking our knobs and switches, making sure that they were not only durable, but provided the type of tactile feedback that would make it feel "quality"

In fact, according to our sales rep, many high end audio receivers made from Denon are using similar switches that give us a lot of confidence that it was built for the long haul. If the switch fails in Jeff's tests from now until launch, we will replace it and source for another one.

Thanks for the tip!

Thanks SM55, and no problem missing me last time. A lot on your plate, i am sure. Looking forward to launch date, coming up quickly.

Glad to hear you will take my suggestion, and glad to hear the parts are quality. Thanks,

@stonemonkey55
Is the 220v version also going to be released soon ? An approximate time frame of when it would be available ?

@audiodelic - The 220v version release date is still up in the air. We would like to work out the remaining kinks (if any) in the Cloud before releasing the international version. If we have any issues domestically, we are able to better service our customers in a prompt manner.

Due to my experience with another product launch, we have decided that it is much better to keep things domestic until everything has been worked. We do not anticipate having to change the Cloud but it is always better to err on the side of caution.

Now here are some more pics of the enclosure, I just noticed that the heat shield was put up side down and that it fits loosely on the inner casing. Jeff just slapped it together with some rubber bands to hold it together so that I could see it when it was pieced together.... enjoy!
