Is there an auto shut off? I go my unit back and im getting better vapor but nothing crazy and not sure if i have a bad connection or something but when i take a long draw the lights will go from ble to red??

There is an auto-off function which activates around 18 seconds if you don't take a hit (it has a draw sensor). So if you take a puff within 18 seconds it will not shut off.

Are you saying your lights can change to red during the hit?

Do they change back to blue if you slow down/stop your draw?

My SS hopper delivered last week certainly stays in blue the entire hit, unless the battery is dead/dying

That almost sounds like they've updated the LED indicator to switch to red when the heater is running cooler than it should (hitting to hard?).

Im wondering if i have bad batteries..seems it would turn red during my draw. Im gonna order some new batts and see if that is my problem.because it happened earlier and i would switch it off after it turned red and then i would click it back on and it would go blue and then into my draw and no vapor so i switched batteries and it was fine..all 3 of these batteries came used with the unit so im gonna get new batts..heck ive already got the body of the hopper replaced..

HI Rachett - that would indeed be very interesting to know as I have been bragging that the heater in the GH seems to keep up stable temp no matter my air flow. This is based on the lights staying blue which I presume is in response to the thermostat. It would be disappointing to find out that the light toggles to blue then ignores any further signal from thermostat and just stays blue no matter what.

My working assumption is that the heater just has sufficient capacity to maintain temp...sure feels that way also.

Had my hopper almost 2 weeks. Heater is extremely impressive, but mortal. I was coming from a sublimator in a big dry bong. First hit through it I hit it just like I would the sub on 5 And was easily able to overwhelm the heater. I can do it easily with a jhook as well. That's how I hit it most often. It's as close to smoking a bowl as I ever care to come again. Amazing results. But if you hit it dry through glass, it's mortal. Much harder to overwhelm through water or native..

The point of that was not to criticize the heater. I don't see a benefit in drawing super hard. I take slow smooth pulls and get delicious thick vapor as low as 2.7ish.. I draw I little firmer for bought temps which I prefer..

Blue lights never change. I think they just indicate it heated. Then no mas communication.

Mine was in a small plastic bag with a grasshopper on it. It was under the cradle that the hopper sits on, along with the charger.

In other news, I am joining jivebuggered on the pissed off bench, because bloody customs have had my hopper for 3 days and they haven't even let me know. Hoping it'll be here before I have to go north, which seems very unlikely.

After i had ordered i realized vaporshop was in Netherlands and thought crap it will probably get checked by customs because they are such backwood inbreds they think anything that comes from Netherlands must be drugs!. Years ago when i ordered seeds i always made sure they came from English suppliers with stealth packageing and never had any hassles.

I require a 100% odor proof case for my vapes and use a cigar tube when traveling with a pre-loaded hopper (see above post).

For carrying all my gear and the Hopper I am using a Pelican 1030 Micro Case and 5 Kodak APS film cans to store four strains and ABV along with 4 spare batteries, eye drops, a crafty cooling unit (hits are so smooth with this mod), and a crafty brush. I have a funnel coming that will fit too.

I also have a version of the foam insert for the 1030 cut to hold the Hopper, 2 film cans (in and out) a Crafty with brush and oil pad along with either 4 spare barriers or eye drops.

You remove the screen from the Crafty CU and just press the hopper, with silicon tip, into the opening and inhale.

hey everyone,
got my hopper in last week .... loving it great unit!
One question did anybody have an issue with the blue led? mine stopped working yesterday,
probably a cold soldering point since everything else works fine.
The led still works occasionally but most of the time it wont light up.

In addition to cooling it offers a good place to harvest condensed reclaim, at least it does with use on a Crafty or Mighty.

I got to say I really been enjoying my hopper the last couple of days. I have started using my old Thermovape Inline Smooth-Flow Moisture Conditioner. It does add to the drag resistance, but cools it down nicely for the first few hits. Do need to add another drop of water after that. I have just been doing it when i pack a fresh bowl.

I caved and "pre" ordered a Ti one. They are estimating August. Not in a rush and I figure the later the batch, the more likely issues get resolved.

I just got and love the FF2, but this thing is too damn cool. I rationalized that there is room for both. I'm a little concerned with vape temp and reliability, but we will see! My hope is that using this as a 1 or 2 hitter will keep the vape from getting too harsh. I've been 100% volcano for around a half decade, so I'm sensitive.

I'll vouch for the Nitecore D2...it is cheap and works perfectly. It has a digital readout with all the output and charge amounts. Amazon Prime....like $12-$16 range....no brainer.

I can vouch for the Nitecore D2 as well. I don't think either one is better necessarily, both are quality brands. My D2 came with a car adapter which was a nice bonus, I'm sure I'll be using it on road trips.

I'm also using the D2. So far, so good.
