Still would like to know the material in the stormypinkness dynavap. Also I just realized that I don't have any short stems ordered and don't see them on the site. How do you get a short stem and are they glass or wood?
I have ordered a short Blackwood. they are intended to fit with a mouthpiece in the dynastash, they also fit on the omnivap which is awesome IMO. And it's more of a custom thing for now. Just gotta send him a message :) I know for a fact others have ordered short Blackwoods, I'm sure he will tell you what's available.
Edit: wood only I think?

Yeah. I think the short bodies, which are 45mm in length, are available in Cocobola and Blackwood, and probably custom in any material you can imagine. Also, obviously the Omni has a Ti short body.

Here is a Blackwood short body dressing up a Ti Woody with a burl mouthpiece. BEAUTIFUL...:clap:I:clap::clap:

This is the one, right Oogendoogan?????

It just takes my breath away.

And, here is that same Blackwood short body on the Omni, replacing the Ti short body. The short blackwood body fits the OmniVap too.

The recent VonGs that George posted recently are available in the standard 62mm stem length or in the short body length, 45mm.

George says:

"Next is where we add some class to the situation. The 14mm and 18mm VonG bodies (45mm.) These are designed to work with a mouthpiece and the 14mm ones will fit in the DynaStash with the mouthpiece in place. This one has a standard OmniVap mouthpiece and variable flow condenser."

Get one or one of each!!!

I did...

Just email George and he will fix you up with the short body of your dreams. :nope:

Is there someone who owns all the models (OG, Woody, Glassy, Omnivap) and can compare them all? Which one stands out as the best combination? And which one gives the smoothest hit?

Also do the Wood sleeves on the Woody models need to be cleaned?

Just posting to say after waiting good month and a half, I've been able to order a vapcap original and a 3 flame torch lighter - I can't wait! (I haven't bought anything ;) since then, either, so you can imagine my excitement :)

Now I'm seeing all these fancy new versions I'm starting to think I should have ordered one of the more expensive ones. Apart from looks, will I be safe with the original? Somebody make me feel better, tell me they work pretty much the same, right? :o

There's not a large difference in function IMO, and you can tart up your OG at a later date with a wooden mouthpiece and an XL stainless condenser tube and it will look puuurty (without much expense either ; $25!).

Hi LittleMaggie

In Stormypinkness' post above, he shows the Vapcap S model. It is a new introduction in the line of Dynavap products. It is a combination of two products:

1 - The original glass Vapcap (which is a one piece glass body and bowl with a glass condenser)

PLUS

2 - an XL Condenser with attached wood mouthpiece.

You have posted about some of your adventures with the Original glass Vapcap so, you may already have or had one. The addition of the XL Condenser with mouthpiece switches it up a bit. I LOVE THE MODULAR DESIGN OF THE VAPCAP LINE!!!

Here is what it says on George's website.

Home / VapCap S

VapCap S
$ 50.00

The VapCap S is the next evolution in the battery free line of modular vaporizers from DynaVap. It includes an original glass VapCap, and an XL condenser and mouthpiece kit. This way it can be used either configuration. The unique spinning mouthpiece makes this simple vaporizer even easier to use, and the optional wood mouthpieces add a touch of class to the glass.

In regards to short bodies, I have only seen them offered in wood in both straight bodies and VonG 14mm and 18mm bodies. Contact George for details and options.

Enjoy!

The short body also comes in glass as well. George includes one with every OmniVap so you can see how the adjustability works when turning the mouthpiece. I don't know if he will continue doing this, but it was mentioned that ever preorder will include one.

Hey does anyone own a Vapcap and a Boundless CF/X? I'm torn between a Ti Woody and the CF. I know they're both completely different portables but I just want to see what others opinions are. My priority is stealth and discreetness.

An extra short glass body comes with the Omni pre-order! I'm getting one too. Can't wait to play around with swapping out bodies and try'n them out

I would need some more info from you before I made a recommendation. Never tried a cf or CFX but own a VapMan and have tried pax2, goboof Alfa. And crafty/mighty and I think the VapCap out performs all of these other concuction vapes, maybe not the crafty and mighty which are convection and conduction. I'm pretty positive the VapCap mixes both convection and conduction but is mostly conduction so that's why I compare the units I chose to compare. I mean as far as vapor quality and quantity and extraction goes I say the vap cap would probably beat the cf. especially for single hits. with the cf being a session vape that bakes your buds.. Do you prefer session style vaping or on demand hits? Do uou have any other vapes? This would affect my decision as well as are you willing to use a torch in public? Because that is part of this vape and its discreetness. I personally was in this dilemna and chose the VapCap and then I still wanted the CFX but after research decided the extra $ for a milaana was worth it. Good luck and hope I could help a little.

Yeah but also it has to bake your buds at least a little in that 20 seconds and after, it a mostly conduction vape after all.. Maybe I am wrong but if you can throw a .15 in there turn it on, after 20 seconds take a huge rip, then turn it off and then have results that you could say are "on demand" like a flame powered vape or a Zion, milaana, ff2 etc. than why do those units even exist and how come I don't see anyone telling me that this is the case on any thread. The CFX interested me for this same reason but I came to the conclusion that on demand convection was something important to me and the CFX simply doesn't do this. I am sure it would be a great upgrade from the fm.. I would actually recommend it for you because now i know you are used to a session vape. But also I would have to tell you that the cf will be a very much improved version of your fm experience where I feel like the VapCap could lead you to a whole new way of vaping and even change your preferences.. For example if you don't already vape through a water pipe, the VapCap is a very unique and hard hitting vape for this purpose. I know the cf is too lol.. But it's that difference between getting your meds in a session or in one or two hits that are more spaced out. If I were you I'd honestly go with both, maybe a cf and an OG to start? Honestly go with a Woody if you can afford it but the OG is still amazing. Even if you love the cf, and many do, Your going to want more than just a session vape one day ;) I know I started with the e nano and even with all the vapes I own, I find a way to utilize all of them. My SSV is feeling a little neglected because of my milaana but I'll show the main man some love soon lol.
Cheers,
Hope I could help.

@Oogendoogan yeah huge help thanks a lot man. I wish I could afford both, but at this point it's one of the other. The Woody looks so beautiful and hand crafted and such, as I'd also get it with the shorty body and a wooden mouthpiece. Maybe I don't realize that I'm looking for on demand style now. Is the Vapcap still manageable for groups or do I constantly have to repack it? If I went out with the CF all I'd have to do is pack the huge chamber and wouldn't have to take my stash with me to refil. I'm making this too hard for myself

Will the Vapcap get me to where I want to be faster? Are back to back hits on the CF not possible or worthwhile?

I have ordered a short Woody with a mp and can't wait :) and yes using in groups will be a bit harder.. Not too hard though. Me and my girl would just take turns packing the OG and do one bowl each and just let each other pack our own.. With friends added it gets a little annoying being the only vape in the room but picture it like a small pipe or really a one hitter, but imagine that with the same amount of bud you would burn in a one hitter, will give you much more of an effect vaped in the VapCap. Loading is as easy as blowing out and sucking in so i wouldn't say it's horrible for groups just not like almost made for them like the cf with that big chamber and constant baking producing hits for a group without re heating. I'm sure a group sesh will take longer with the cap but each person may get a more satisfying hit. I'm home bored when I was supposed to work today. I'm glad that my general rant about my knowledge can help someone lol. I don't think you can go too wrong here. I would deffinantly say VapCap wins for vapor quality, and also efficiency, the cf for ease of use and group use, also for longer larger sessions I see it having some edges. At the end of the day, you could always pack the same amount of bud that one cf load would be in multiple VapCap loads and get more of an effect from it if not at least the same. And it is awesome being able to suck up a load, heat till you hear the click, twice, get two nice hits and be done. Like its a great, fast process and the vapor is just different than that of an oven style vaporizer. Your decision may come down to are you willing to try something new that could be something better, I would say or worse but I don't see many not liking the VapCap, thing truely is revolutionary IMO and I wouldn't trade it for another. also are you willing to master a new technique? Or do you want guaranteed results you are more used to but also results you will probably expect more and maybe you will want something different in the future? Good luck man.
Edit: sorry after all of that the answer to your main question in basic form is yes. It will make group sessions harder, but a Jyarz full of ground up material, well doesn't need to be full lol. Or a Dynastash, can easily make this a little easier.

I don't have the CF. But it sounds like if you want it for groups you should go CF. The Vapcap is more of a personal vape. It might make you nervous to share it due to the use of a torch, and I wouldn't share with more than one or two people. It's like a traditional one hitter with a bowl size that's slightly bigger, that makes it more of a 3-5 hitter (you can get a couple more hits depending on draw rate, material, etc).

I have a Ti Burly, with the XL mouthpiece kit (which isn't mandatory, but is worth adding) and a CFX. I love them both, but I have to agree with Oogendoogan, in that the VapCap is not great with groups, but mainly because there's a bit of technique required. The technique isn't tough, but you'll either have to heat it for them or go through the teaching process repeatedly. Then there are those people you'll heat it for, and they'll be jabbering away while the cap is in their hand cooling off. I'm not patient enough for that, so I go with the CFX in groups. I also like the CFX in bed, for the convenience, but I prefer the Vapcap when I'm just sitting by myself or with my wife, as it tastes better, and it definitely hits harder on fewer tokes. The VapCap is also a work of art, and kinda fun to use and master.

Now you'll just have to figure what is most important to you. Good luck.

Thank you sir! When I am vaked it is hard to get the words I want together in my head sometimes lol. And I was really hoping that someone had both of these great units would chime in. Now I really still want the CFX. I actually have wanted a CFX since it came out.. Just for ease of use and laying back, And of course for groups.. That's gotta be the biggest edge the cf had over the VapCap, and many other vapes. My milaana has been treating me pretty good in the lay back and rip department though ;) still find myself checking the CFX thread because I feel like other than the VapMan and VapCap my conduction vape game isn't very good. Feel like it would be a great addition. We will see where VAS takes me lol. who knows I may just be in VapCap and milaana land forever once my order from George comes :)

This is the or one of the nicest looking vape I ever seen.

I finished a week ago my honey moon with my OV since a new vape arrived. A long one since it arrived some moths ago. After honeymoon VC and OV are keepers for me, they toke VM place (mainly/only out (VC) and about driver and while log preheat vape (OV), even if I still use VM from times to times. They are perfect companion for a convective vape like logs or lotus IME

Also I believe that bests results I get is with a 4 flame torch at a medium/high setting and only touching with the lighter outer flame the low end of the cap (at the V of Dynavap) while turning it; this gives me very thick hits (2maybe 3 cycle sometimes) and lighter abv (light even brown) the same torch on a lower gas setting (when at least one of the flames is not steady) I get sensibly darker abv (dark chocolate), it takes longer to heat and also I get a more cooked taste without any gain.

I guess bigger flame for less time is better as in real cooking when you want to preserve most vitamins.

Question. In the Woody Vapcaps - does the wood get dirty on the inside, or does the condensor tube capture everything?
