I shared my EVO for the first time. Tried to get a friend off combustion, she has asthma.
Her draw length was too short to get big hits - i think she might actually do better with a conduction piece that puts the vapor into the air for her and then she could take short draws.

Personally I love the EVO, I can draw for 10 seconds and I can't imagine retiring it.

Currently in my EVO - Auto Berry. My guy says it grows under any light cycle at any time of the year. Very nice too, lots of sugar.

I said hydrafoot or any other 18mm male adapter. i can "reform" my Elbs in a couple different Gong pieces of mine.

also the whole point is to maintain the strength of the welds so NO YOU ARE INCORRECT IN YOUR TOTAL ASSUMPTION THAT ROTATING ELB AS A WHOLE ONCE INSERTED WOULD CAUSE ISSUE. it's the squeezing and bending that becomes a problem. my method is foolproof, you should probably try it before thinking about it too much. I mean isn't that incredibly bullish of you to discredit something no guarantee will work and you have failed to even try it ? lol take an Elb to your local head shop and ask for some male to male 18mm / 18mm gongs, and find a fit. it's a small price to pay for the convenience factor.


your Elbs will be absolutely fine, as was the purpose of the method, to maintain weld integerity yadda yadda.

furthermore, stop a being lazy contradictory naysayer. there tend to be more people on here looking for help than providing any so keep that in mind when you barf up your pile contradictory ignorance. especially in your bullet pointed "I quote all sources" reply, you masquerade as an authority on these matters but really... you lack any contribution. your personal reactions are potentially damaging to others who wish to learn a thing or two. get over yourself it's not about right and wrong. it's about extreme vapor output!

Mod note: Since you didn't quote anyone, I'm not sure who this is directed to. However you are treading heavily on the 'Be Nice' rule with your last paragraph.

Just knocked my hydratube off the desk:cry: It did a slow motion double somersault and managed to land on the metal desk leg instead of the nice soft carpet... It now looks like this--->

Does anyone think this could be repaired? I know it's a long shot but I am pretty heartbroken. Maybe a skilled glasswear chap could work some magic on it? I bought it from vapexhale, maybe they'd have an idea or advice?

3 of my ELBs slip out too easily of my Evo, yet they're all too big to fit in any of my 3 male-to-male 18mm adapters. Well for one them only fits on one side of the adapter. The other side is too tight. They're not all made equally.

You bought that hydrotube from vapexhale ? , it looks like a dhgate hydratube , are you sure ? , I could be wrong. If it is a dhgate tube it wouldn't be worth it to repair as they are only like $35 new.

Gosh I hope it's not- I paid £165 for the thing! It came either direct from Vapexhale or possibly their supplier in the uk. So it should be legit, the glass is pretty thick, isn't that the sign of a decent tube?

I didn't even realise that dhgate did hydratubes, I thought they were all bongs in style and shape.

That looks like an unlabeled swagger showerhead. I have a side car swagger showerhead and the perc looks almost identical.
It is most definitely not the DH gate hydratube which I also own. The shape of the perc is similar but the dhgate tubes slits are larger and the showerhead itself is more bulbous. Glass is much thinner too.
Bad luck either way. Doubt that can be fixed easily since it's all the way around the main tube.

I could be wrong but I hope you get it fixed up. if not dhgate has some on the cheap , quality is not as great as vapexhale but they work decently. They have 2 at the moment. I'd take another members advice as I am not too familiar with your tube.

When you spend a lot of money on glass and it breaks, you're just sick to your stomach when it breaks like that. The Chinese knock offs I think are the way to go. Glass breaks too easily when you're medicated or stoned. Have a couple of expensive pieces, for the rest just buy knock offs.

Unless you have lots of money.

Yes I am still feeling somewhat sick:( It's like loosing a girlfriend that you took for granted but when she's gone you suddenly realise how much she meant to you:ugh: Thinking back now I did order the tube from vapexhale- straight after they released the evo in the UK, I too think it's a swagger piece just unlabelled. I've had it for a couple of years now, it's the first of my tubes that I've broken and I am gutted.

I'll have a look on dhgate for a cheap replacement, was just wondering if anyone had the contact details of any decent glassblowers that I could ask about fixing it, just so I don't just throw it away before I've tried... Don't think that there will be any in the UK. It's a shame that vapexhale don't do the old style tubes, I much prefer them to the new ones.

I break glass like nobodies business!
Their is not a single glass blower that will fix it.
It's cheaper and faster to start over.
I have a few custom made glass water pipes and hydro-tubes that I'm super careful with.
My cheap dgate I break all the time and laugh!

If you break stuff go on the cheap end?
Breaking expensive glass is not fun rich or poor!

My custom HYDRO_TUBE made in CALIFORNIA I use daily with my EVO however I don't move it.
I do love it however I might cry like a baby if I broke it!

Don't give up so easy. Google "UK glass blowers" and see what you find. You never know... Hell, maybe buy the dhgate, have them chop the top off & weld it together to create a "double." LOL (Actually, the dhgate HT is barely worth the money you pay for it.)

@liscoe That is definitely a real Hydratube. The perc is flame polished. Not happening in China! For you and @ataxian here's a repair sho, but as @ataxian pointed out repairs are not cheap!!!:cool:

I've been told similar, some pieces i can't throw away, i await an expert artist to repair my damaged treasures that are no longer obtainable
