Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud EVO

Just went into chat at the Vapexhale site and was told that the QC problems (just saying what she said) are a thing of the past since the changed suppliers.... hopefully that's true since mine is coming next week.

Wish me luck! :-)

I sure don't want to be the employee that has to caliper measure
every ELB they have in stock .

As for joint lube , I've learn not to put lube on anywhere
that comes in direct contact with the Hot Bamboo . But still good
for attaching my claissen adapters to my stand up bong .

T6qaqfo.jpg
Why is that? Does the heat just make the wax drip down?

Also, I read that joint wax is for making sure the joint stays together whereas their other product -- Slide Right -- is for slides and such so that removal is easy and squeak-free.

Thanks!

I have been thinking of ways to secure the cloud evo to my coffee table so that the chance of it falling are reduced to zero. Does anyone have a system in place that they use to assure that the evo does not get knocked over or dragged off the table on accident? I'm considering drawing up a custom table and creating it in the next couple of months but I'm not sure if I want a piece of furniture that is quite so single purposed.

Last time I posted was about my hyrdabomb waiting to be replaced as @stonemonkey55 said he would sort me out as long as I submitted a ticket with VXH. I sent them this link detailing my issue :
http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/vapexhale-cloud-evo.11357/page-456#post-952226

I also copy and pasted a screenshot of Mr shen's agreement of helping me out.

As I purchased my unit from @VapeFiend.com , I have to wait for them to receive stock from VXH before I can swap my second faulty HT (exactly what I did 2 months ago for my faulty turbine)

Quite disappointing how little stock is available from VXH in the UK, it is impossible to get anything for the evo besides ELB's here. This is the second time I'm having to wait for a single piece of glass .

The annoying thing is I have to wait three weeks just to see if the Hydratubes they receive will be of better quality then the substandard one I'm stuck with now - if it is I will have to wait another 3 weeks ? I have glass to use, but I would like want the quality product I payed for over half a year ago.

Two chinese Hydratubes have been produced and manufactured and delivered to my house in that time frame . They both functioned better then the VXL glass products I received. Not what I was expecting :( .

I am sure if I was in the US it would have been swapped already, maybe for another faulty one like what happened to me for the second time now or with most recently @mrbonsai420 . I don't want to wait another three weeks just for another faulty substandard item.

This was the last correspondence with VXL regarding this matter :

Yes I am almost certain we have taken care of those defective
> Hydratubes and taken them out of stock.
>
> BUT, just to be sure, when you do communicate with Vapefiend about your
> replacement once in stock, just make them aware of why you are
> returning the one you have and that you don't want to get another like
> it, and you should be ok.
>
> Let us know if you have any issues.

If they have taken the rectified glass out of circulation , why would I still need to explain to the retailer that I did not want another faulty product for the third time now ?

FedEx did not deliver......I sat in my office until after 7pm last night, and then checked status and it said they attempted delivery and business was closed.....of course. So irritated.......maybe today will be the lucky day.

Hey guys, I feel like my new EVO is getting hotter. So for example I have been combusting at 2 o'clock sometimes and I've been starting my sessions at 10 o'clock, but it's milking like I am at 1-2. For the folks where their EVO started overheating, did it start off seeming like the EVO was getting hotter than normal before it overheated completely? This is a bummer :(

A couple of weird things happened with mine before the overheating incident - at least I thought they were weird (keep in mind I only had the EVO for a few days)...

The night before - I was doing a dab off the nail at 3 o'clock. LED was green. After the dab, I turned up the dial to 6 o'clock. I was expecting the LED to turn red until it increased to the right temperature, but it stayed green. So were 3 o'clock and 6 o'clock both registering the same temp at the time? I dunno, but I didn't think too much of it.

Right before the incident - I had the EVO running, taking sporadic hits from an ELB at about 12 o'clock. After a couple of hours I saw the flashing red/green LED indicating it had auto-shut off. So, I turned it off and turned the dial all the way to the left. Turned the EVO back on, and when I turned the dial, the LED immediately flashed red/green LED. So, I unplugged it, thinking it needed a full reset. When I plugged it back in and turned it on, the LED was solid red as it should be. Turned up to 3 o'clock, left the room to wait for it to heat up. Came back to the incident.

New EVO arrives tomorrow :-).

Hmm I do notice sometimes I go from say 10:30 to 11:30 and my EVO just stays green. It doesn't sound exactly the same but I would think the temps would be a little more sensitive than that. Thanks for the response, I'll watch for this stuff. Right now it works fine at 10:30 but after 4 combustion's I am cautious to turn it up past 1.

WOO HOO!!! My package has been delivered. Can't wait to get home tonight. I am a bit concerned after reading of these recent QC issues, but am hopeful I will get lucky and have no issues. I expect in a few hours I will be thoroughly vaped!!

Update: Ordered Hydrabomb, glass looks perfect best I can tell. The 2 included elbs fit nice and snug just like they should. However, the spares I ordered were all loose when inserted to the point they would fall right out inverted. I gave them a gentle squeeze and have all now at least usable.
I also ordered a foot and it is smooth glass, not frosted and the HT slides on and off nicely. Not sure I need it though.
Turned on, only the slightest electronics smell while heating up and only if I put my nose practically touching the top of unit....basically no smell at all. I feel fortunate so far.

Time for a test drive, may or may not be back later:wave:

Both of my ELB's came apart and it appears to be glued together from the material. I went ahead and glued it back since I'm dying to take a hit from the EVO. My new ELB's should be here tomorrow... how unsafe is this? I used crazy glue... throat feels a bit more irritated.

This doesn't sound safe at all.

I didn't think there would be glue in the ELB's. Anyone have more info on this??

I don't think I'd do that, but I understand the urge.

It could be toxic. You would be better off smoking a joint and normally I never say that.:sherlock: I would discourage anybody from glueing something with super glue and vaporizing with it. We use pretty high temperatures. Risking your health isn't worth it. I hope you are OK?

OK, I have vaped one single elb and I am thoroughly happy with my purchase. I am also PFT.

While the hydrafoot is well made etc., and I have no complaint, I do not think I will use it much....it does stick a bit when you pick up the HT sometimes, and I can see it in pieces if I use it while I'm vaping....too hard to pay attention to that.....but everything just like expected so far. Couldn't be more pleased. Figured I'd post before I start the next elb.......:chill::smug:

Oh yeah, am I allowed to say I hate FedEx?? I could've had this yesterday!!

Received my evo today! Just wanted to drop in and report that all seems to be well. Elbs are very snug (almost too snug), no electronic smell, and everything seems to be working wonderfully. No hydratube reports since I didn't order one.

Only one elb in and this thing knocked me down....far more of a punch than what I'm used to. Exactly what I was looking for! As for the temps, I started out letting the unit warm up for a good 10 minutes with the dial set to 12. Took like three rips at 12 then turned the dial to 2 for a few more rips. I started getting a "combustion" like taste so I called it quits and pulled the elb. Material was dark brown and fully extracted. I need to search the thread and find out what the dial setting approximates to temp wise. But for now I think I'm going to go lower and then finish off my session at 12. Might play with higher temps when my hydratube from dhgate comes in.

It must be the evo because I'm laughing uncontrollably about the super glue elb comment. I really hope dude was joking....cmon man.

Oh and to all the people complaining about fed ex, I feel ya. Fed ex didn't get mine delivered today until close to 8 pm. I kept checking the tracking because it had been out for delivery since 7 am. I was waiting around all day for it because it need a signature. Oh well....I'm now a proud evo owner. Now onto another elb.

Edit: Second elb in. I believe it was Ataxian who mentioned the waterboarding effect. Very apt description sir.
