Has anyone received a SS case yet to post their impressions? Worth the $$? I ordered one with my extra batteries, hoping it wasn't a un-needed purchase
Back to the Grasshopper Vaporizer...
Not my oldest battery, but the second oldest is not lasting 1 full chamber. I will charge it in the Nitecore i4, pop it in the Grasshopper and rip... and after about 30-45 seconds (consecutive or not), the battery dies. The only 1 of 4 that does it, and I treated this one relatively better than my oldest battery, which is still lasting (albeit barely) 2 chambers.
Otherwise the unit is going strong. I've e-mailed HL about my battery, among other things, and I got a response from Caroline this morning, all things that we know already - Batteries aren't covered under warranty, be careful using external chargers.
Think of HL as if it were going through a really really long Black Friday. They'll catch up, but for now can we keep the conversation about the *vaporizer* and not the company that makes it? I don't really care about business speculation on a vaporizer forum. Thanks.
2. business intentions to get pre-order money that could float the company while they tried to fix QC issues and optimize production and shipping
I think that these still aren't coming off of the "assembly line" very smoothly, to say the least. Their plans all seem to revolve around ramping up production, but that hasn't happened yet -- at least not reliably.
Wow, that was a painful catchup read.
Was it me or were a whole bunch of posts deleted by admins?
Anyway.....
I saw this on Instasham:
It looks like vapefiend is getting retail units very very soon (unless they are lying to their retailers too).
Which is both promising and disappointing in my opinion...
Very promising because it looks like they are shipping out units to retailers, which means they probably feel most problems have been worked out (or they are doubling down?).
Disappointing because it seems they preferenced a retailer, over long standing preorders. I understand retailers will be more important to them, but it feels like a bit of kick in the guts to people who have been waiting for so long and effectively invested in their business.
Overall I'm pretty sure it's a good indication things are on track (provided they aren't lying to their retailers as well).
However, Vapefiend is taking advantage of the lack of supply and charging like a wounded bull.
£199 for SS (not Ti)
~$290usd!
At that price I'll wait for my preorder thanks.

Tangential, but the blue and purple (especially the purple) are looking more like variations on gray, and I recall reading at least one GH owner reporting as such. Is this how they appear IRL? Is the purple more like purple-gray and very subdued? And is the actual dark gray a brownish gray? Do we know if the anodized coloring is consistent?
Link to the separate thread?Yes, a whole bunch of posts were moved to a separate thread, bc they were about how to run HL, which were consider off topic.

Yeah, I want a gray GH, not a purple one, just wondering if the purple is a better gray than the one being called gray, which also looks brown. I'm sure I'm overthinking/complicating this choice (already switched from regular Ti to DG).
I went through the same phase. Took me several weeks to decide on a colour due to poor website photos.
After a closer look, I'm not even sure what's happening in this photo. From the bottom, I see what looks like one dark gray, then blue, then green, then what looks like bronze (are these actually the gray?), then what looks like a different bronze, then purple, then not sure about the ones in the back -- more green? Here is some photos that helped me decide on "dark grey"

Hey @BuzzDanklin,I use a few different cameras to take photos (dslr at home, cell phone on the go) between the different cameras and the different lighting the color on my blue ti unit looks quite a bit different. Here are a few photos so you can see the difference: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 and a video. Sometimes it looks more baby blue, and in different lighting it looks a lot darker.
Wow, I love the blue when it looks really blue, like when it's pictured with the batteries, and in the snow.I use a few different cameras to take photos (dslr at home, cell phone on the go) between the different cameras and the different lighting the color on my blue ti unit looks quite a bit different. There's another thread where this is discussed further, but that date is pretty optimistic. Read through the thread and this one to see what's been said before--quite a lot.I'm thinking about making a order on their website but since there is so mutch tallk about delayed delivery I don't feel secure enough to do it.
