@MoltenTiger my goal was to keep this compact. I like the extra chamber idea, but really wanted something kind of stubby like this. I had the original and short of blowing thru it, it never leaked even laying on its side. The 18mm joint does indeed look flush, though not pushed into the bottom. Here's another pic since likes2's aren't working.
Edit to add: sunshinestore seems wide open to building things for us and I've told them a few times the hydratube style is popular. They are looking to add more so please, anyone, draw something up.

It definitely looks robust, and seemingly good enough that an extra chamber would just be redundant.

I am definitely liking the idea of a few different high quality percs and designs with these hydratubes.
Need to get a tree perc straight tube happening.

Does that mean SSS might make us some different down stems for the D022? Maybe a matrix perc or diffusion pump or 4 arm tree. A proper reti would be nice.

I think @shark sandwich has a better idea of what they require to build something, but it seems they want to do at least 50 pieces to make it worth their while. When talking to them mention FC and they will be way more likely to build it.

Working with dhgate suppliers, or any suppliers for that matter, can require patience, dilligence, and extended communication.

If you want to get something done, it's definitely possible, but it's much easier if you're not alone.

It's extremely helpful to have support and interest from the forum when working with dhgate suppliers.

Often, it's necessary for multiple people to contact a supplier before an issue (manufacturing timeline, design issue, etc.) is addressed. This also applies to all business, not just dhgate.

@Shit Snacks @MinnBobber @Likes2vape (im forgetting people obviously) is this the basic style they should be shooting for? I think a female joint at the top of the can per @ataxian is great idea too, but maybe later down the road. I personally have two mp's from ogb that would work fantastically. Minnbobber, I know you said male but that is reverse of how plumbing would be so if water was pulled into the mp it could theoretically leak down the outside. I do understand not wanting to use an adapter at that joint however. I am impartial and would roll with whatever the consensus is, but I agree with your post about just getting a simple hydrotube working with a few perc options. Please criticize away, that's the point. Let's get a good basic model down and we can go from there.

A 18mm female instead of a mouth piece would be the ticket!

My tree has 8 arms. You are correct on the bottom chamber mine is roughly 1/2 the size of the top chamber about 1/3 of the overall tube height.

What I do is work around problems.

The bottom chamber no water!
Top chamber cover the perk with water.

Had some COLAS of SKYWALKER with it!

That sketch looks perfect, I'd say they should keep the circ perc from the recycler too, that one looks even nicer to me.

Also not so into a female on top? Male makes more sense to me for stacking and is how VXL did it before, also female mouthpieces are way bigger than male ones, at least all the ones I have and have seen...

And as for the recycler, if they move the mouthpiece direction I'd say make it come out the side so you can see all the percs, but putting it like in @Likes2vape's vxl example is quite unappealing to me for some reason...

I say let em make that one as is and lets get going on all sorts of other ideas! (Is it really poor taste to just show them VXL tubes of yor?)

If the FC-mouthpiece series is made with a male joint on top as you suggest, then both the bubblers and their accompanying mouthpiece "toppers" will be fully compatible with the Cobra Can and its modular mouthpiece.

Between the FC-mod, FC-mouthpieces, and Cobra Can, we could have a whole family of modular and compatible glass pieces available to us.

I agree about stackability- it's a good argument not just for the male joint, but also for the top joint in general!

I haven't been a part of the FC-mouthpiece effort, but I fully support having the male on top and female on the bottom.

So will the upcoming pieces have 18 mm male joint? For those that don't like whatever the stock mouthpiece is, oregonglassblower can create a custom;
length, bend, mouthpiece end, etc

Being a sidecar mouthpiece fan, I'd like to see a HT or bubbler with an 18 mm male joint exiting the side. This would create another style option. You wouldn't be able to stack HTs together but I never need that much diffusion.
Like this VXL but with 18 mm male stub joint angled up and you add your own mouthpiece.
