Discontinued Zion vaporizer

This is all I've used since receiving the Zion on Christmas Eve. And the run time on a set of battery's is unheard of in the portable market. I've never counted how many stems I can run. Last night I left the house fresh set of battery's installed and went to a friends house to show off the Zion. After her house I went to work where the Zion set in freezing weather. I got off work and low and behold the Zion still had another 3 stems left in her. When I put the battery's on the charger they were both right at 3.8 give or take .05 or so.

It's a huge relief not worrying about my Zion not working because dead batteries. Again I ask myself WHY would anyone design a vaporizer to use anything BUT 18650's? These things are a perfect match for this fucking beast. Only the best power for the best heater (IMO) on the market.

@VegNVape Great photos! You always have great photos :) Anyways, seeing as you've tried both, how do they compare? I've not tried either, but am aware of the reputation the Mighty has.
Hey Killick, thanks for your kind words - I do try :)

IMO, a full on Mighty/Zion comparison really needs it's own thread as I feel it could be perceived as disrespectful to the manufacturers to pit one vape against the other in either of their own specific threads. Although I will admit that my photos definitely make it look like the Zion & Mighty are indeed squaring up to each other!

:goon:

Fight fight FIGHT!!!

No no no!!! :disgust:

No.

But as a number of people kept asking, I did eventually do a very brief round up of the pros & cons of each unit as I saw them at that point in time, back in September. And you can check that post out here:
http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/zion-vaporizer.17061/page-109#post-857292

But please remember that this was still relatively early on in my Zion life. AND I am obviously using Johnny as my point of Zion reference who is beta#5 of the FC10. Whereas you, Killick, will be receiving a full production version of the Zion, which has had a whole range of extra tweaks & improvements incorporated when compared to O.G. Johnny - including improved heater tek :brow:

Finally, I will just say that my Mighty still has a firm place, & a very specific function amongst my collection, but it has certainly seen far less use since Johnny showed up on the scene.

Now get ready to hold on tight buddy!

And er . . .

So, how duz that all sound? :p

Welcome Brother!

Well I've had my first victim RBT. In all seriousness I think there should be some sort of warning label on the device. Grandma wanted me to come over and show her friend what vaping is.

Granny is getting pretty good with Marilyn(my beautiful birthmarked beta Zion) and Granny was really hitting this thing with vapor literally flowing out of every possible place known to man kind. When finally she blew a gasket(passed a little gas) right in front of God and everyone. She started laughing coughing and blowing big thick never ending vapor. This is a side I've never seen from my grandma friend cause she's a pretty hot little #. I just laughed it off and told her see that's what a medium sized hit off the Zion can get you. I'm going to give her my LSV to see if she can give vaping a go.

That's one for the Chronicles Of Zion!

I think we all love your Granny, HD!
What a wicked test subject

I'm looking forward to making my own comparisons shortly. And I think today is the day after 'middle end of the week', so perhaps 3bie is on her broom and heading thisaway.

I'm probably not going to do any comparisons. I'm finding that each vape has it's own place in the scheme of things, and I'm looking forward to seeing how this one fits into the rotation.

I love the pictures on RBT s website with a car parked on top of the Zion. I'll be taking this thing on some boonie bashing adventures, and looking forward to the instant heatup for those quick scenery stops. Nothing makes scenery better than a well timed break and a bit of cloudage. That's my version of church. That and surfing www.grimfrost.com :)

'Drips potent enthusiasm' sums it up nicely. I wanna start dripping reclaim... C'mon post office, bring me a package. Actually 2 packages, as another 150 grams show up next week. I might lock myself in the basement with the big amp and speakers. I may be some time...

Though the Zion is incredibly efficient I find it can be difficult to realize much material savings with it because it's simply so easy and fun to use that one tends to over medicate out of the sheer novelty of wielding such a powerful device.

My advice is to pay attention to how you feel when using the Zion, and take pause between rips to contemplate your current level, you may well find that you're 'good' way before you'd normally put it down.

This is how to best exploit and benefit from the extreme efficiency of the Zion.

An excellent point!

My tolerance has certainly gone up as my patience for other vapes has gone down...

Also don't forget to be sitting when in use initially, bc of the leg buckling phenomenon

Another thing that bears mentioning regarding the Zion is it's ease of use.

Blindfolded, one handed, distracted and concentrating on something important, some kinky combination of the three, doesn't matter, every step in the use and maintenance of the Zion is easily accomplished.

And honestly, it's much stealthier than it gets credit for. Not only does it look like a mere hunk of wood in passing, when in use it very much resembles how one drinks a soda through a straw. The motions and whatnot are very common and easily overlooked.

It 'hides in plain sight' as it were.

Just wanted to quote my post from the last page, so it doesn't get lost. I figure I'm not the only one that's curious about modifying your order before shipping. Also just got a chance to watch the temp stepping video, and things are looking awfully nice.
If I'm remembering right it was said just a few pages ago that batteries will now come with every Zion. How does this affect those who already purchased batteries--will we just get two more than we ordered at no charge? Also, when our Zion is close to shipping, we'll be getting an email where we can adjust out accessories, correct? All this talk about digital chargers is making me think that I'll likely be switching out my analog I ordered for a digital, and I want to make sure I'll have an opportunity to do that.

Quick update. HD Video review still to come.

This is still the only vape I have used since i got it. No Herbalizer, no Evo, no VapCap, no firefly or Daisy, ect.

I am not saying the Zion will make the others obsolete, no single vape is perfect IMO, but it is a damn good vape at home or on the go.

In contrast, and just as a general example, i was using other vapes by the evening time the day i got my Firewood3. Not trashing the FW, as i still believe it rates highly with the mflb as the best value portables on the market, and customer service is top notch but.... this Zion is in a diffrent league IMO.

For those who own a Daisy, this is probably the closest comparison. Not as fast as the Daisy, but certainly the most powerful and versatile of my battery powered portable stable. Big clouds quick with mininal browning of herb but still a need to stir every few hits IMO. I enjoy the process of both greatly.

Cheers all.

So I just got one of the best emails I've gotten this year, complete with tracking number *and* a RUSH reference. So the first band I ever saw on TV was Rush, and this was what they played. In 'music video' years this is like watching a NatGeo documentary on cave peoples, but with better sound.

I'm still fishing for a name for 3bie. I'm not going to call it Bytor, cause I'd have to explain it to non-RUSH fans. Or Rush fans with alzheimers, cause they are starting to get up there, too (I was 12 when this came out). But I was a huige 2112 fan... That might make some great Zion artwork?
Anyways, vape on :)

Wow! Did you special order that?

I am Sooooooooooo looking forward to my production Zion. The beta I use is such an outstanding vape that the idea of improving on it has my juices flowing. If I was forced to own only ONE VAPE I am quite confident in Venus, and have yet to try anything better, so ZION would definitely be the one.

One VAPE to rule them all. How Tolkienish... :)
