I received my Ti/Woody about a week ago and have been using it on a daily basis.

I really like this little vaporizer- my avb always comes out a nice uniform brown. Ever since learning a little technique I haven't had a single issue with scorching. The trick was was learning to keep the cap away from the bright part of the flame, and to instead heat it with the tip just above the dimmer blue flame. I've had best results using a triple torch- I think the broader heat stream works faster and more evenly. I'm using a Lotus Wedge lighter which has a nice action and a large fuel capacity.

I made a carrying case for my VapCap, which has a magnetic sliding lid and two trays for holding consumable material. The vapcap itself is retained by a magnet, which the cap contacts when it is sheathed. This allows the Vapcap to be easily removed by rapping the case into the hand like a pack of cigarettes. The Vapvap will slide forward to protrude from the hole, so it can easily be grasped. The case is small enough to fit easily in a shirt pocket, but it still has a very large capacity for consumable storage- about 2.5 cubic inches!

I've been using my VapCap with both pipe tobacco and cannabis, and it's working excellently for both. I never take the tobacco past three cyles, but sometimes will go 4 or 5 with cannabis.

I've found the straw technique to be best for loading the Vapcap with ground cannabis. The same technique won't work for very course material- I just lightly roll the pipe tobacco between my thumb and finger, and load that by hand.

Here are some photos of the case- it's made using yellow box burl.

Order #527! Really excited about this vape... I'm finding that I'm enjoying the overall convenience of the vaporizer/lighter combo over batteries much more lately, and I this vapes form factor is the closest to what I've been looking for!

Can't wait for the all ti dynavap! Will keep you guys posted.

Learned that if you can adjust the draw rate by pulling the mouthpiece back a bit. Makes the draw easier and more open. Nice.

Just extracted a bowl of herb mixed with cbd oil. Filled the Vapcap bowl half way. Extracted it very nicely. The click works very well, although I'm finding that I'm trying to hit it before it clicks at times. If I hit it a few seconds before, or even a second before the vapor is juuuust right. :spliff:

Order #490 confirmation!!!!! Expected delivery date of December 31 :rockon::drool:

Yep, same here! Order #499 (and 529.) Got my shipping confirmation this evening. Can't wait! Looks like George is knocking them out as fast as he can. Awesome and worthy of some props.

Lol, and I just signed up for 2 more, #537. Selling like hotcakes!

Day 2 and this device continues to impress! So neat and simple and works like magic!

Based only on this thread I went ahead and ordered a second one myself.

I am ORDER NUMBER:537 lol or there is some sort of flaw in their system.

Just ordered a TI woody and a Dynastash  it asked me to specify which one I wanted, which I did not see an option for, so I just let you guys know in the comments.

Went to the bar tonight, was craving a quick vape, had nothing available. Also just got a triple torch lighter from a friend for my Vapman/Lotus, so this is just perfect across the board!

Hyped!

I think that seeing the vapman as more aesthetic than the vapcap probably depends on which version you have. My second attempt with the vapcap yesterday ended up with everything charred. Mainly because the click never happened and I'm not sure why.
Still I'm optimistic about figuring it out whereas I never mastered the vapman. Mine is pretty charred and I never got it to work. I think I need to make a list of vaporizers that truly have 0 learning curve like the logs and arizers.
One thing I don't like about the vapcap is that I don't have a large stash and it uses more than any of my other vapes.

imo a log can have a learning curve too, truly almost all of the strongest vapes do :2c:

As my mind has been churning the past few days regarding the thermal challenges some of the wood stems are experiencing I thought I would post a picture of another configuration available with the new modular Vap system. The Ti tip from the Ti Woody will fit onto the same glass tube as an original VapCap. Put in a glass condenser the same diameter as the SS one in the Ti Woody and what is it?

A Ti Glassy.

Nothing in the air path except glass, the Ti tip with ceramic screen and a tiny little ss retainer ring.

I would really appreciate feedback as to whether this design would be of interest. The ss condenser would work too. Yes the glass can break, but it is also in expensive. And it still fits in the DynaStash too.
Ridiculously easy to clean, put the entire thing in solvent, no problem.

Cheers,

George

The Ti/Glass VapCap looks really cool! Might just have to try that one out and see how it compares to the OG VapCap I've used! :brow:

I'd be interested in being a guinea pig, any ideas on a price, George? I imagine somewhere between the all-glass and the Ti/Woody? Let me know and you'll have my order! :D

I like this idea. It would solve issues some have with the plastic mouthpiece, it looks classier than the original, and with a ss inner tube would also minimize the issue of 'dirty' resin buildup making it something people would avoid getting out in public.

Also, being modular, people could upgrade to wood down the track, or change their wood to 100% cleanable glass if they were travelling, etc

My vapcap arrived at midday yesterday. I went to collect the bins from the street and spotted the green padded envolope. My neighbors would have seen me do a little happy dance in my undies (bloody Australian summer heat).

I didn't look over the instructions because I was short on time and have been following this thread closely so I figured I already knew the basics. Also did a dry run to get a feel for the procedure and the click.

Loaded it up with corse ground herb, 3/4 full no pack. Using the included 3 flame torch. First bowl went perfectly. 3 heat cycles and even dark brown abv. Got a second bowl in before I had to leave and got the same results. I was very impressed.

When I got home I started to play around with pack, grind, heating techniques and different torches. Corse grind and 3/4 loose pack being the fav atm. I am finding that on the first draw I don't need to cover the carb but after that I will feather it during the hit.

Next thing to try was using it with a water tool. Put the mouthpiece in an 18/14 lowpro adapter and heated it up. Using the adapter makes easy to just drop in the water tool (plus I don't own any 14f water tools). It milked my gb-186 rather well. When heating I focused more on the digger end of the cap to get a higher temp. Fully extracted in one hit.

Later that evening a mate dropped round so I couldn't help but show it off. Ambition out weighing ability led me to combustion twice. Pretty easy to clean. Put it in its container with some iso and shook for a bit. Rinsed and dried all ready to go in a few minutes. Missed out on the good amount of reclaim that had built up though.

I got through 15 - 20 bowls yesterday. Way above my normal usage but I was having too much fun testing it out. Science and all that :science: Also I had a dab at 1pm so it's hard to get back to that level when I was there so early in the day (for me anyway).

At the end of the night I had a 'don't know if I need to go to bed or have another bowl' moment so naturally I opted for the latter. Dumb arse me forgot to wait for the cool down click before reheating again. So there I am torching away and then I see a red hot spot appear. I stopped instantly but I burnt the load. Obviously I was already baked enough and should have just gone to bed.

I wasn't going to make amy comparisons to my other flame powered vapes but can't help myself now.

For me it's not as stealthy as the vapman. I can heat my vapman in my lap using both hands and no flame can be seen. When I hit the vapman I can have it fully concealed in my hand and raise it to my mouth like I'm eating a small piece of food but it always looks like I'm smoking something when I use the Vapcap.

Being able to hold it like a cigarette is a nice feature though when in a relaxed setting or while your typing on your phone. Also a feeling I miss from my cig smoking days :puke:

The Vapcap takes longer to use too because you need to wait for the cool down click.

Loading the lotus or vapman can be a lot quicker because it can be done while hot but the vapcap is easier to load than the vapman (don't have to worrie where the crumbs go).

So I've combusted 3 times and depleted my stash - Just like every other time I get a new flame powered vape . All in all I'm loving my VC. It will definitely find a place in my arsenal.

Edit: The mouth piece did smell a little when I first got it but quickly died off. It didn't taint the flavour either. Not a huge concern for me. I also like the way it feels in my lips but a rounded design means you wouldn't have to be careful with which way you put it on if you want the carb facing in a certain direction.

More i use it more I like this small vape!

I agree with Nugg about the stealth topic in comparison with the vapman. Yesterday I tried some "face to face" sessions with this 2 vaporizers...there is no real winner but I lost the heating feeling i got with the Vapman (is it the VapCap fault?)...so it's not..definitive at all.

In average the vapman taste a bit better cause it's easier to play at lower temp than the VapCap...especially if you wait for the clic, although I can get some pretty tasty rips hiting it before the clic (even better than my vapman, but my tech was not right yesterday).

About clouds the VapCap wins cause it's easy and quicker to get them thicker...easier than the Vapman, here the clic helps a lot!

In the concentrate topic they are both very good, I'm impressed how the VapCap can vape concentrates without to be messy (I made a sort of ss sponge I can place in the bowl).

It happened i forgot the unclic before to re-heat....is it a big mistake? how does the cap support this sort of mistake...I ask that cause I could make it again when too much medicated....

Love that ti glassy @VapCap compared to the original all glass VC it looks that bit more elegant I think is the right word, it look sort of stronger as well not as breakable compared to the all glass version and if it can all be dropped into ISO for easy cleaning it looks like a winning design.

I can see that your keeping the ti tip and cap further away from the glass parts and using rubber "O" fittings to keep things snug it allowing still for some expansion and retraction as we heat, cool and re heat again.

Is there really little need to take it apart? With the glass version and cleaning that I feel worried I'm going to drop something, smash something etc that can't be repaired these being the reasons I'm interested in the pure titanium version you've designed/designing as a pure piece of metal is unlikely to crack, chip or snap in the short or long term. My main worry with pure ti would be a lack of flavour but I'm not 100% sure if that would make diffrenece overall.

If you can just drop it into ISO and hey presto it's clean and gleaming again I think your on to a real winner here, all the vapc caps work great as it is but there's always room for improvement in all a aspect of life and this is no different.

Keep up the grand work George :)

Been playing more this evening and getting consistent results. Using a single flame torch now. No combustion :D For me using the tripple torch is like trying type with your thumbs.

I've had a few goes of using the vapcap with my vapman heating rhythm hoping for some good low temp hits.

-4 seconds of heat
-draw
-4 seconds of heat
-draw
-4ish seconds of heat
-CLICK
-draw
-4 seconds of heat
-draw
-wait for cool down click for fear of combustion

I didn't find the low temp vapor very flavourful and find it easier to wait for the cool down click before reheating. Probably won't bother low temping with the vapcap anymore. Maybe the first few bowls after it's been cleaned.

I have tried rosin in it twice now with great sucess. Just doing a herb sandwich, loving the results. First few draws are really tasty and lots of clouds.

@PPN what sort of SS wool are you using? Kitchen scourer type or a fine rust scrubbing sort?

Another thing I love is how quickly the vapcap can be pulled apart and reassembled. Like under 10 seconds. I'm always in there removing bits of plant matter that got through the screen lol.

Is anyone using a finer screen in theirs? I might see if I can cut down a fine screen and get it in there.

I wouldn't mind a vapcap twice the length for casual couch vaping. I find that with it being so short I can be a little clumsy with it. If I had a longer one I could move it around in my hands easier. Maybe @Ed's TnT will start tuning out some longer fatter ones as customs. With all the nice inlays and burn bands. More like a blunt than a joint.

Super glad to see you like it as much as i hoped. When i recommend a product like the VC and then later seeing others whos opinion i trust really liking it as much as I do, it makes me happy. I think you are the third member of Team Zion who likes his cap, with @cybrguy hopefully the next satisfied customer. Like myself, for most of you, i enjoy variety of a few different vapes in the rotation.

Hello VapCap lovers,

I asked George if it could be possible to make a black outer tube (same as some solo stem sold by vapefiend or elsewhere) for both stealth and style.

He answer me that it was one of his intentions since he first create vc to offer coloured versions, but there is a critical mass factor.

Being a device so inexpensive there is a need for big demand, i guess, to offer this option with same low cost philosophy;

So here I am asking how many of you nice peaple would be interested in an all glass black vapcap in some future?
I would buy 5 or 10 outer tube at once if this helps to keep the price relatively low (i don.t know, around 5-7ish?)
And some clear inner tube too btw (i take really care of my glasses but they will break anyway sometimes)

Also how many would be interested in a wooden mouthpiece?

Sorry @VapCap , you have already a lot of work, I know, but your device is hyper stimulating my brain :-)

Hey bud, it certainly does look like the Z-Team are out in force getting themselves in on a little VapCap action!

Myself included.

I've been backing this little dude since the IndieNoNo campaign, and I've been waiting fairly quietly for my turn in line . . . . and I'm pleased to say that I have now had word that they're on their way

My original order of 2 items has since increased to 4 individual DynaVap products, all of which I am thoroughly looking forward to holding in my hand, & trying out for myself - especially after reading all of the various reviews & experiences posted here so far.

It's funny to think that I was initially drawn to this particular vaporizer due it's very low price point - I was originally paying a total of around $50-60 for 2×Vaps - however I now appear to have negated this aspect entirely due to my overly indulgent additions & upgrades!

Sound familiar to anyone?

Wood & vaporizers can bring great pleasure. Why fight it eh?!

And add to that the fact that George has been a pleasure to deal with, & every purchase is helping to solidify this little vaporizers future in an ever expanding vapor filled world!

Sold, sold and SOLD!!!

Well, I hope you are all STILL having a very Merry Christmas out there, & I wish you all a Happy New Year!!! :D

PËÅÇÊ.

Could a wooden mouthpiece be made for the glass vapcap? Could a pom plastic mouthpiece be made (that's the vapman's plastic material)? It doesn't give off any smell and I don't mind using it. Seems like these would be higher quality material that would make a nice mouthpiece for the Vapcap.
