Vapman

Only be worried if you're going to beat on the little bastard.. the copper air intake tubes holding the oven are all you have to worry about.
I'm going to baby the hell out of it, that's for sure. Can't exactly afford VAS.
Given that I have some experience with butane-powered vapes (mainly Lotus) but haven't used one in over a year, how would you recommend going about my first sessions with the Vapman? I just need a reliable (and preferably combustion-free) jumping-off point to get a better feel for things. Thanks!

Ahhh this is true my man, I have redesigned it, not a lot just a little to sturdy up the tiny end that goes inside the middle section, felt a little angle gave me the room to work where I could sure that end up somewhat. Thanks for spreading the word! In fact if @Jethro wants to go ahead and get his hands on one since I havent quite added them to my site just yet he could pick one up from PIU, I just sent Randy a batch with his last order. Just so much to do and never enough of me, BTW has anyone seen any reputable human cloning companies out there, Id be in for a couple of them even if I had to finance em!

Sounds like the answer! I didn't realize Puffitup was a Vapman dealer and looks like they are out of stock on your cocobolo stem at the moment so get going on that cloning thing!!

I am loving the Granadillo on my Solo by the way- which was got at Puffitup.

@terminally_chill One beautiful spring day I was out manning the grill when I put the little vape in my pocket without the protective egg. I proceeded to do a bunch of work in the yard and then when I went to empty my pockets my poor vapman came out in pieces. I've tried to reinstall the bowl onto the tubes but it's a bit to small for my fat ass fingers to manipulate. There you have it my sad story. Kind of pathetic really.

Bummer. I fear even with the hands of a surgeon you're SOL without the tooling and maybe fresh parts. The tubes have a step at the top and are 'riveted' (peened over) on the inside of the bowl. I think you'd need fresh tubes (that weren't mangled) to insert properly and the tools in one of the MV videos to hold them correctly in place to use a punch to secure them in place.

Here's a photo of this in action, check out the fifth photo at this link:

Very sorry for your loss, but I hope you can find the resources to replace it. Life without VM cannot possibly be as good as life with?

You know the Cowboy Logic here: "If you fall of the horse, you gotta get back on"......

It's Christmas time, maybe Santa can help you out......if you've been nice enough of course.

@terminally_chill try heating you vapman for 4 seconds, wait a second, heat for 4 seconds, draw, heat for 4 seconds, draw. It will slowly bring your vapman up to full vaping temp. You will get to experience the great low temp flavour.

Once you get a good feel for how hot you want it then you can aim for that temp before the first draw. Some of us do three or four 4 second heat cycles and wait for a little bit of vapor to escape from the holes in the middle section before we take the first draw.

I always knew vaping was healthier but it was not a top priority for why I converted. Spent the weekend with a few mates using one mates place as base of operation. Everyone loved the Vapman although there were far more baccy/weed bongs smoked than VapMans ripped, there was a mighty getting around too (mate of mines German uni buddy... Won't be replacing the VM but I am greatful I got a go thing rips!).
Everyone was amazed by the efficency and the effect.
We were using it through water nobody was really that excited for using it dry although I'm sure some of the exhales did impress!
Now rocked around to help my buddy clean up sunday everyone else gone. Normally I try and give some torch tips and let people try but when you're drunk and fried people tend to not get it, so I just heat and pass. Gave my mate a go, it was my old bubbler that I gave him to smoke with he rigged up some hose which I no is not great (the alternative being conbustion of MJ with tobaco)but the VM sits in nice. After an hour I didn't even need to speak, he was loading unloading stirring checking how cooked it was and not conbusting he did not say it but he looked like a kid in the candy store to me!
Still amazed at how efficent it was and how vaked he was. I thought surely he will be getting one, still nice dice. Anyways he told me of this thing they used to do hold some paper towel over the top of the bong. Anyways did a test with both, the vaoed one came out with slight discolouration, and I knew the ther would get dirty, but how dirty it got is what I'd expect of 5 goes! Not only was my mate impressed enough to take photos... He bought one 5 minutes later!
So good test for those of you out there to show people how much better it is for you. Similar thing happened although they didn't wind up buying on, was showing s friend telling them you have to see, half the consumption massive clouds and twice as baked.... After the first toke all they were going on about was the flavour! Where as to me, I'm not fussed. Seems there are many positives to vaping and it just takes one to convert. First VM conversion, and my sister is getting one for Christmas.

I was going to give him a run down on different vapes he has tried my solo and HA and I was thinking maybe the lotus, in the end as I have said here before I think for those of us who are used to packing individual bong snaps and passing around, the VM is ideal. My mate lives with his gf who isn't stoked on his mj use and keeps tabs on the stash size, so the efficency is top notch, and now he can pack his eggs and have a little Vape in the backyard while hanging the clothes out!

Thanks @OF and @terminally_chill. I just did replace it and am in Vapman heaven. I was very upset with myself when I made this blunder. Hopefully I can learn from past mistakes and keep on enjoying this unbelievable vaporizer.

Great news, thanks for passing it.

I wouldn't be too hard on yourself for breaking the last one......you were younger then.

Best wishes.

As I mentioned in my earlier post you can use the vapman 2 way. Low and slow or high and fast.

When I first got mine I was all about the high and fast method but gently settled into the low and slow method.

I don't really sip and enjoy the flavour as much with my other vapes so it's a nice change but this afternoon I went with the high and fast. I damn near thought I had combusted when I saw the cloud I blew out. I forgot how big they could be.

It's awesome that you can choose either method at the drop of a hat. No buttons to push and no warm up/cool down time.

The big cloud got me thinking about using vapman with water then about the heating station. When I get mine I'm going to try inserting the mouthpiece of my vapman into a whip and connecting it to my water tool. This was I can leave it on the heating station while I draw. Can't wait to see how it goes :D

I usually load around .03 heat for 12 seconds start to draw until you think it wants a little more heat then give it another 3-5 seconds. Depending on your breath you can reheat a few times. Massive clouds and single hit bowls, it's good!
Did another test showing my friend how efficent it is. Chopped up two lots of .1, one to smoke one to vape. For 1.5 cones off the conbusting and 5 nice Vapor bongs from the VM, it's a no brainer.

This is the trick of how to carry vapman safely in your pocket(s) without the egg:

Simply carry the upper part (middle section with mouthpiece) and base part separately in your pocket(s) or carry bag, this avoids any possible stress on the air tubes.

I think the 'take away' from such reports of 'best timing for me' is since we don't have the same lighters adjusted the same way matching seconds is only a starting point.

I favor developing a rhythm once the unit's warmed up. If a 'four count' (most of us don't carry a stop watch to work with our third hand.....) isn't enough, try five. Just don't change the tempo, but the count instead?

I also think new guys tend to 'sneak up' on it, and run on the cool side because of it. I suggest 'don't be shy with the heat' once you get a handle on it. Intentionally push it higher than you're comfortable with to learn what is possible and what to expect by way of combustion. Combusting is not the end of the world, but it's something worth avoiding in the future. Learning the clues of an impending accident can prevent a repeat......maybe.

Yeah, right....... If I'm that composed I'm not likely to stuff it in my pocket unprotected to start with. Let's face it, if you didn't do such a great job building the little buggers we wouldn't get as distracted as we do. It's your fault I figure......

Thank you for that.

Yes, time is dependant on flame size and other things. I try and keep my flame size consistent so I can just count in my head. Once you can use the thing instinctively it shouldn't matter too much as you know when it's not vaping or when it's getting too hot, I think a lot of my problems at first came from my shitty inconsistent torches.
In other news forgot to report my 3 dx torches turned up, all worked amazing while working but all three have broken since. I'm not too worried found something similar to the typical cheap Chinese angled head ones pretty cheap locally.

Just say 10 Hail Marys and put $20 in the poor box.......

Yes, I use the 'mouth' (Mica lined end, flame just long enough to go side to side) to gauge the flame size so I start with the same heat each time or close to it. Once going it's the rhythm that does it. Like Lawrence Welk, "a one, and a two, and a three". I can usually count high enough, unless it's late in the session of course.

Do I understand you right you killed 3 of the $3 torches 'right away'??? You are a champ for sure. Are you to lighters like Ataxian is to glass? How did they die? You think a bad batch (same failure)? Maybe fuel related? I've got one I've worn the paint off the metal part from handling it. I must have run two cans of gas through it. I've got several others with less hours but no problems either. Nor have any of the friends I gave them to reported problems.....

This is not good, details please?

I'm not sure how I did it, although they all copped two weekends of abuse off a lot of people and two of them the button played up one I smashed which would have smashed any lighters. Something to do with that ring on the trigger. Dunno if it was just my stupidity, although I'd prefer the trigger to be a bit tougher and just the single flame lock on the side. Did love the huge tank! Was going to order more to take away, however it locally found a really big version of the normal ones but the flame size is similar, thing must be at least 6inches tall and huge tank. Will be my long trip torch I think, reliability pending it looks like you could be weeks from a can! And ever just to sit on the coffee table when having a big sesh! Having to hate good mates on the inside because they lost the your tiny little torch! Caught one taking to my VM with a bic:(! Luckily the shop was just around the corner.

In other news, the VM has blown my mind again and this may sound silly to most but could help some so I'll try and explain it my best. Over here people smoke cones mixed with baccy, the theory being (plenty of theory's as to why it's better but most make no sense if you aren't addicted to cigarets). One does however, the theory that if you're going to smoke 10 cones over "x" amount of time You will use half as much MJ if it is mixed 50/50. I personally just love smoking/vaping things, especially things as fun as the VM. I have tried other herbs in the mix so that I can still blown clouds and play with my toy without using MJ which is expensive and fudges up tolerance however they have all been lack luster. Anyways, tried some e-juice on it's own in the vapman was super harsh (will try other juices!) then tried it dry with a drop on the herb, was nice but still a little bit of bite..! .05 in the VM with 1 drop will literally blow vapor clouds 4 times the density and last me 4-5 bong rips and is still only the same amount of MJ. This may sounds crazy to some, but this is probably the most exciting vape related thing to happen to me to date!.... Excluding maybe the original discovery and vapor bong.

I am a leaf on the wind ~ watch how I soar...
I have question for all here:

Should we success the Station on this thread, or open not her one for the Station?

The Station is a hybrid, aromatherapy device/vapman heating station/vapman base/vapman dispenser... You get the idea.

What do you all think?

Peace

I think this was discussed when it was first released?

I don't think that the station needs it's own thread. It's a tool to use with the vapman. This is virgin territory though, there is nothing else like it so I could be swayed the other way by a good argument.

Just tried one drop direct draw again, once you get the initial bit of e juice down it gets surprising smooth! I was doing a lower heat sip session, went forever. I'm loving this vapman e juice combo! There are MJ flavoured e-juices anyone ever tried?

Welcome @terminally_chill,

Watch the how to videos here:

http://infinityVM.com/videos

The first few videos after the the Station video will give you all the info you need. From how to load, clean, and care for your vapman.

It's not delicate, but you just have to treat it well. Like a good, expensive race bicycle...

Hope this helps.
