Really?!?! I'm an original backer (Dec 8, 2013) and my Estimated ship date went from July to September.

I think they are just moving everyone to Sept. I ordered June 24th it was Sept expected delivery and it still shows Sept as eta. When I placed the order the 1st couple of hoppers had just come out and I was hopeful I would get it late August early Sept but now I'm thinking Oct or Nov. I just hope they have the kinks worked out by the time mine gets shipped

Maybe it will be ready to order on Black Friday. I was hoping to get one for myself for Christmas. Maybe not until 2016 sometime? How many years have folks been waiting since the beginning? Has it been 3 years? If so that's more patients than I have.

im trying to be very optimistic right now, as i dont want to buy another vaporizer. i want the grasshopper...

im very discouraged with their shipping estimates right now, especially to the backers. my hope is that they have worked out a good amount of the in-house manufacturing issues at this point, and some qc issues as well. hopefully they are training these three new people the proper way to build these things, and put them soley on making a few hundred, maaybe a thousand, a week.

theres a lot of hope in that statement..

If it goes to black friday, that will be ~two years for the early backers.

My hope is this new pr person decided it's better to surprise the backers with an early delivery than be late yet again, so when they changed most of us to september they really meant august. Yes a lot of hope :lol:

Yikes.. maybe they were all out for a power brunch meeting? I wanted to say maybe it's a holiday, but apparently August is the only month without a holiday...

I enjoy coming up with excuses, but the one I haven't been able to touch is, how come they can't ship in the order they took money? Was the whole thing in excel and got sorted by first name? Delays what they are, it makes no sense to offer all this early-bird orders and then make the shipping appear random. Anyone figure that out?

Just ordered my purple Titanium grasshopper yesterday and shipping is estimated October 2015 so hopefully it comes before that but it's ok I still have my FireFly

Ordered a purple Titanium unit yesterday but estimated delivery is October 2015 so hopefully it gets here sooner

It appears Travor is sending his pile of mail to Caroline to sort through.
I received a response today from her simply saying that my address WAS confirmed and this meant my product was almost out.
This was in response to my last (of several) email a week ago, questioning if I had done the address confirmation correctly. As if that was possible. Still no info on why my confirmation was 3 weeks ago and I still haven't heard anything.

My estimated shipping date is August, which I find very strange that people who ordered before me were given an estimate of September.

My IGG order was placed Nov. 27th (shown as Nov. 28th in their system) I checked email and it was on Nov. 27th at night so maybe different time zones.

My order is for a colored Ti unit so that shatters the explanation that they had placed all Ti orders to September. What is even stranger is my additional order placed on March 24th 2015 originally had a shipping date of August and was kept as August. The additional order was for the SS case and extra battery.

Anyway, I'm not getting my hopes up for receiving my order this month, but boy would I be excited! I have been following this project with a keen eye ever since I backed it, telling my friends and such. It's funny, all my friends laugh so much whenever I bring up the grasshopper because last year this time I was saying "ooohhh its about to ship! Now you'll be jealous you didn't back the campaign!" Boy was I wrong, but at least this time it does seem like it is on the horizon.

To those of you who just backed and are saying you hope it will delivered before October, keep dreaming. They sucked you in with their bullshit and got you good. Let me link you their August 1st, 2014 update and tell me what you think.

"Hey Everyone,

We’re back with the August 1st update. More parts have arrived, including the forward control PCBs. Things are going well. Over the last 15 days, we’ve focused on making necessary tweaks to the parts that we’ve received, and we’ve been working with our manufacturers to solve any problems with part production. It’s unlikely that we will ship units before September, but we expect to remain on schedule for delivery to start then.

The circuit design for the Grasshopper has been a long and challenging process. Due to physical changes that were made necessary by manufacturability issues, the circuitry has been through a number of iterations. We recently received the first panels of production boards. See the photos below. There was a small issue involving the solder-mask not completely covering all the traces, so the manufacturer is sending another batch next week. Besides this issue, we are pleased with the quality of these boards."

This was August 1st, 2014. Just to give you a clue. They have been blowing smoke up our asses forever.

Take it with a grain of salt, we are actually near the finish line, but we were also near the finish line a year ago....

So LAST August they announced that they were on track for September shipping - September 2014. And now it's August 2015, and they're still claiming shipping is imminent. Lovely.

I just wanted to post that to put things into a better perspective. They have and always will be hopeless dreamers... I'm not saying that they're going under, or that they won't make it. But honestly this like their 7th push back in date and it is just ridiculous. It's easy to overlook it and say "oh they're trying their best" but why build up expectations that will just be shattered.

I have been waiting like a child for each bi-weekly update for the last 15 months anticipating getting the grasshopper. You can imagine how it feels to have hope built up and destroyed over and over again. They had hopes of assembling 1k+ a week by end of July, look where we are, still producing handfuls almost two weeks into August.

I know cynicism isn't helpful, but I want to give a realistic viewpoint on the whole situation. They have been known to make wild estimates and when I hear they are shipping today's orders in October I call bullshit. I just don't understand why they can't start being realistic in their goals.... But of course they just want more money and will spew whatever bullshit they must to fill those orders.

It really pissed me off when I heard someone say they saw their boss of a headshop in Southern California walk in one day with a grasshopper a year ago.... They were trying to get shop owners on board over 12 months before they even have their backers fulfilled. They fail in the category of business experience. But hey it's a startup and they're learning.

At the end of the day I am excited that they conceived such an amazing vaporizer but I am still bitter over the long way and the bullshit they have done since. They claim they waited to have the best customer experience then ship grasshoppers with bite marks and scratches and malfunctioning units...

Sorry for the anger rant, just reliving built up anger from the last 20 months of waiting.

I heard that about the headshop too, but the idea of someone having a fully working finished GH a year ago is completely incomprehensible.
Or at least, fully working for more than a day or two...

Trevor had a prototype before the campaign. They just weren't able to scale their production to 3k+ units. It's not that hard to believe that they have had working grasshoppers all along, but its a matter of mass producing such parts on a large scale without problems. If they sourced from US this would have been shipped last year, but they probably have run into massive problems from manufacturers in China.

If you think about how to limit someone from stealing your concept, you outsource different parts to different manufacturers to stop the knock-offs. Not that there won't be counterfeits on the market at some point, who knows maybe before GHL even release theirs for instant orders. I imagine this has caused them many headaches, in todays world counterfeiters are your worst enemies.
