Interesting. Since one of the high praises for the E-Nano seems to be its exceptional flavor, I may want to go with the 187 to preserve that flavor as much as I can. Then again, I'm all about the smooth hits. Ah, choices...
Thanks for the info.
IMO the GB-187 (and probably 187-S) are great for the nano! Don't want to step on any toes here - I know some of you kids love all the pretty percs and bubbles - but for vaping less is more. IMO pillar percs, eggs, etc. etc. are fun to look at and play with, but are going to smooth the flavor right out of your vapor. Would think they'd be great for combusting and wanting to take huge rips without coughing your head off. Perfect if you're smoking one hits of schwag or doing QWISO dabs. But the more they "smooth", the more flavor they're taking from every hit, and leave me wanting if vaping a la nano.
There are a few that have cool vapor paths that do retain the flavor, but I think those are pretty few and far between. 2 of my personal favorites are the FC-710 and D-Cycler. Both continue to impress me with their lovely flavor retention. But, if I could have only one Chinese piece with my nano, it would be the GB-187. Don't even have to think about it.
If you're using a nano, and enjoying the fine flavor it brings - go for a simple perc, with little diffusion, and keep the water level just high enough for function. More bubbles, more diffusion, more water contact, will all lead to more water filtration and less flavor.
So less truly is more unless you're looking to make impressive bubble videos. And if I want that, I can just put a drop of dishwashing liquid in any of my glass and have bubbles galore! Yeah... it would probably taste like shit, but if you're washing out all of the flavor from your tasty vapors - why not just totally screw it up?
