In my case the HC is upside down on the end of the downstem (in an AC). Best height seems to be about where the flare to the HC begins...

I just vaped in my first water tool setting, and it was this one

After reading this thread for a little while and having recently acquired a Solo, I finally placed a few orders on DHgate and AliExpress during the lasts few weeks.
I had never tried vaping with a water tool before that.
Today I received my very first order which was from SunshineStore, and I just had a my first ever water session.

Today, I vaped in this exact setting

Except it was whis a Solo.

PS: I am pretty much being this smiley "" right now, I don't know if I typed that well.

if you look at where the water should go up into the bowl, at the bottom they closed down the return hole, it recycles but because that hole is so small i can not get it vortex.

Dang, I didn't even know that one existed. I had read somewhere some pieces won't recycle because that hole is too big..........Looks nice - personally, I can live without vortex, as long as the recycling works ok. Looking forward to your video.

That's got to be the USPS.
I live in the SF Bay area, but my packages come through the LA Sorting center (sometimes quickly, sometimes in limbo for a while).
You live in Az and yours come through SF. Sure, that makes sense if you are the USPS I guess.

This cheap ash collector is not my best setup. It's a set up however I have a few that work much better. As a dabber it works better!

I find for the NANO I want no jug at all. I'll set up a different water unit after I recuperate somewhat!

i don't know if i would not get one based off of the one i got, as the next to get one could be different.
it could be the workmanship of this one piece, i think we have seen different workmanship in the same model of glass, they are not all the same

edit; i messaged btoc and asked if he could see if the hole where the water drains back down to be made larger

I've been eyeing this little double inverted showerhead at Kathy's for a while. Just wish it was female input.

Price is great, though, at US$34 delivered to Australia. Kathy seems to have redone a lot of her pricing so the rates to Australia now use China Air Post and as a result we apparently now get the "Free Shipping" offers the US has always enjoyed from her.

Also- a crappy vid of my tornado! This is a seriously nice piece of glass! Too much water I believe, but if you want that giant tornado, ya do what you have to! Takes some lungs to clear that hollow foot.

That looks sweet! I was actually thinking about picking that up on ioffer; however, it appears they only offer it with an additional piece here. I never bothered to ask, but I'm guessing it'd be $140-160 for the base and mouthpiece. Edit- whoa you only paid $100?!

Oh happy day!! things have changed since the beginning days of AE/DH... It used to take 30+ days to get your rigs from the folks in China in FL, got news that mine are in the state of FL. along with that is my new Solo, old one still going strong,wanted back up and figure all my glass is set up for Solo vaping, so might as well keep the tradition of GAS & VAS .......following the FC way of life.........buying glass and making clouds, one day at a time

My take? Amazing value, designs that are 95% as good as the pricey stuff (some better than others), for 10% of the cost. If you are picky, you probably won't be happy, your piece may contain small imperfections, not be perfectly aligned etc.

Jhanpixel apparently uses China glass, which the blowers don't really care for, say it has impurities, etc. Some of our members have pieces by him, @Caligula had one. Positive feedback.

I recently contacted a glass studio in my town. They don't have a retail store, but their FB page looks kind of "heady" although they don't mention vaping pieces. The owner was cool when I talked to him though, said he'd pass it on to the glassblowers. Waiting for a price quote.

Bent looks pretty good, made in the US with US glass. At that price range you can get some more well known US makers, if that appeals to you. Cheech stuff couldn't find origin info, overpriced if it's China glass, not big on "celebrity endorsements" myself, but the designs looked good. I think it was @BoogerMan who said the inexpensive pieces he got from ioffer were better quality than what he got from Dhgate.

First warning: You are being sucked into the high gravitational forces of the GAS Vortex.

You really just have to take the plunge and find out for yourself. Plenty of testimonials here that it is worth it and depending on piece you pick first, will only put $30-$40 of your savings "at risk". Find a piece you are interested in and then dig out the feedback that those before you have already left in the trail. Cheap Chinese glass is a great way to learn about what you like, knowledge well applied to make your very expensive future purchase, that is, if you can get away from the cheap stuff, which I can not.

Dude, your LHS will cost way more than $40 over these prices. I laughed my ass off when I saw what they were charging for the same pieces. Sunshinestore is my favorite currently - If I time it correctly (order on Thursdays normally), the shipment is delivered 7 days later! If I can save $100 by waiting 1 week, I will do it!
