Here's a side by side comparison of the Ti KISS Cart and the Standard KISS. Note the coil is slightly off center. Also note the more shallow ceramic cup and lower number of turns around the wick on the Ti. Sorry for the massive pic.

Just called my lhs to see if they can order me some kiss carts. Asked for the 3.7v version. How do the 3.7 and 7.4 compare?

Is it safe to run a torch lighter on the outside of black kiss carts to claim the oil down to the coil?

Got my Okeanos today and after a couple rips, I could barely feel any harshness of the hits regardless of how big. The taste and effect are pretty great too. I'm loving it, only thing is that it can take a bit longer to reload each hit since it takes a couple more turns or maybe I'm just really medicated..

I...guess that's...satisfactory?!?

The performance(or lack thereof) doesn't seem to mimic @Sleepin in CA's impressions or video. He made me want to get one, your review...not so much lol.
I think you're doing it wrong, no offense.

I was so stoked to get my shipping notification on Monday but unfortunately, the USPS has fucked up and my package is now in SC and I live in NY. I didn't even get a tracking update until last night on the damn thing. Praying my Okeanos somehow arrives tomorrow so I can bring it to the studio for a rehearsal. :argh:

I'm liking these reviews, keep em coming!

One question, for people who have used both original kiss carts and ti kiss carts, can you tell any difference in taste?

I think I want an.. okeanos, it just looks so cool. A portable 18350 driven device water filtered through stainless steel and glass with an inert ceramic cup which contains a porous ceramic rod with a grade 2 titanium wire wrapped around it. This is the future! This technology is sick!

What if you had a porous ceramic cylinder disc instead of a disc? That would hold more oil and still heat up fine.

There is a bit of a learning curve. If you clog the baffles on the tube in the center....easy to do if you overfill/suck too hard...take a dental bridge flosser (something equally tiny and long) and clear them. This will fix the issue. If you need More info let me know and I'll GoPro it tomorrow. I'm too tired right now.

I guess that's just it. If it's kosher to soak/clean KISS carts, and the hercules, what's the material in the standard carts that can't handle ISO? I thought it was constructed of the same materials, so what's the difference?

Repeating myself, "because materials used (typically seals) aren't up to it". ISO attacks the seals typically causing leaks.

You are incorrect in your assumption. There are several changes. In addition to going to materials that allow ISO there is no use of glass fibers any more and the heating element is no longer exposed. All very significant changes. Details matter here. Assumptions lead to trouble often.

I agree, following the instructions is always good advice, but I've always been the type to only follow rules that make sense to me. If what's in the standard cartridges isn't stable enough for a soak in alcohol, I have doubts it's stable enough for me to heat and inhale vapors from either.

I hope I didn't give that impression, because I certainly don't agree with you. IMO you should follow instructions especially when you don't understand them or they 'don't make sense to you'. That's the whole idea, really. If it made sense to everyone, there'd be no need for rules and guidelines. I hope others aren't following your lead here, IMO it's a very dangerous practice. Rather I suggest following the advice of the maker until you know better.

It has noting to do with stability. Or material safety, really. Used as directed they are widely held to be 'plenty safe'. Styrofoam cups are just fine for drinking coffee, but a single drop of acetone makes a mess. Same deal IMO.

Noticed what:ninja:

Hopefully you didn't notice what time I liked your un-edited post, so that you don't know that I know. Good decision, btw.

So far so good on taste. I dont get that metallic "hot toaster" aftertaste like with other LYAG style carts that Ive used. I thought I got burnt flavor once but it turned out that I had a small piece of parchment paper stuck inside the dab. LOL. Not the carts fault at all.

I'm going to work in a bit....but late tonight/tomorrow plan on making a clean up vid. There are some intricate areas on the Okeanos that I think I have found a neat way to clean. At any rate it will help someone like me, it took me a bit to even realize where my clog was! So yeah, stay tuned lol.

Long time lurker, but figured I'd make an account to comment on the Okeanos which I received yesterday.

All the pieces feel very sturdy and it hits like a champ, BUT I'm getting an issue with water leaking from the central hole of the bottom of the bubbler. When I put some in (filling to bottom of the UP logo as Sleepin in CA recommended), it seems fine, but after a few minutes water slowly starts leaking out the bottom, and if I leave it alone it'll eventually drain the whole glass chamber of water in about 15 minutes. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong? I've tried tightening the central rod of the bubbler and making sure the rubber seals are secured, but I can't seem to plug the leak.
