I think the answer to your question might be on the vaporpedia page for the persei?

Check it out, you might have some luck.

[vaporpedia link removed due to malware]

EDIT: FOUND IT! "Typically an empty cart is ~7.9 grams with some variance."
Cool thanks! Mine is at 7.85. Used a friends scale. It is starting to taste different. Not like mechanical oil, but I think it's probably the wick due to little to no oil. Gonna fill it today!

I have the same persei kit. It should work fine as long as you use the right voltage.

Cool im gonna get the persei and sr71 both for 175.. im gonna have to watch the assembly video a few times...any tips?
Watch as many videos as you can talk to as many people on this forum as you can. I only got mine a week and a half ago, but have learned a lot in just that time. You don't want to burn out a cart or fry a battery.

No that shouldn't matter just make sure you build it correctly when you do ... use an ohmmeter to make sure you're right around 1.8 ohms with the white rod.

Dammit!! Can i get one at wal mart? Thats my only problem with w9 its hard to get a unit to do desired effects out of the box either you need stronger batteries, a lower ohm cart, a multimeter, a rod, a ring. Blahhh

Nice thanks so much! I hope this works sufficiently with the rod and batteries that come with it? I believe this is gonna have the old style washer? My omicron is usually hit or miss depending on how and with what i load it and i just want to be able to get sufficient vapor production without numerous reloads like kiss cart. Sorry for the wall of text im at work on a phone

Persei/Sr71 Combo at 7.4v is my go to every time. Pick up that multimeter and some Oil and you should be ready to go!

Edit: The Hercules Sr71 is a power hog I would recommend having 2 sets of batteries. Ill have one set charging while the others are being used.

You have to weigh your own cart before you start. While the average might be 7.9, in a box you probably see .2 or more grams difference. Go to a different box, and that can be much bigger. Newer carts seem a little lighter.

You want to reload before you start getting 'off tastes'. That can be burning oil or worse still burning seals. That's the whole idea of weighing, to refill before you run that low. I'd suggest refilling it before you heat it again, and avoid going that low again.

Which means buy a scale and use it. This is a nice one for $11, I've used mine off and on for years:

I picked this exact scale up from my lhs this morning , but for $29 unfortunately hahaha. I stopped hitting the cart as soon as the taste changed. I made some shatter a couple hours ago. Yielded 1.14g from 9.45 grams of some fine blue dream. Loaded .3g into the persei.

I wanted to follow up on my post about spare o-rings for the Nibbler XL. I never got a response from G so I went ahead and ordered both 904 and 906 type siicone o-rings.

It turns out that the '906' o-rings are a perfect match. The o-ring in the picture sitting on top of the paper label is the original that came with the Nibber XL. The '904's are too small to fit the Nibbler XL mouthpiece. So, anyone who has a Nibbler XL water tool and wants to pick up some spare o-rings these are the ones to get:

Thank you!! I've been wondering exactly which ones to get and where. Awesome! Greatly appreciated!!

Hey guys I joined this site so I could possibly get some persei vape. I have had trouble getting my persei to work properly from the get go, I don't know what I'm doing wrong with it. When it works, it hits great, unfortunately it cloggs up on me 90% of the time(without exageration) I purchased a 5 pack of extract cartridges to try and figure out what I'm doing wrong, but I just ended up clogging 3 of them almost immediately, I have since gave up on those cartridges all together.

After months of not being able to use my persei I ordered the kiss cartridge and upon receiving it(today) I went to use it, when I pressed the button on my persei it began putting out smoke(from the button not the atomizer) and it smelt like something was burning.

Has anybody had these issues that I am having? Does the smoke coming out of the button piece mean my persei is ruined? I'm getting tired of spending more and more money on a already expensive piece. I spent a lot of money on this thing and I expected it to work better than this. I've read the tips to unclogging it but haven't had any success. I tried calling them directly but they didn't answer and I can't find a way to contact them other than on here.

So the stock batteries with the persei are strong enough to power the sr71 with shatter correct?

Blahhh isn't a good way to get the right people to help you. Everyone here already knows the nuances of the hardware you have so read on and learn and be patient...

Great! Useful tool. I find myself weighing lots of stuff with mine. Like my Iolites (to know exactly how much of the 3.1 gram maximum fill is left).

Bummer about the price, seems like the Dope Gods owe you about $18? A nice gram of top shelf might set is straight........

Bummer, Tim, but good to meet you anyway, welcome to the Forum. Persei is a great vape, really, sorry yours is not cooperating. We should work on it some and get those Omicron carts going, but first we need to get your top fixed.

Unfortunately you're far from alone, lots of tops have cashed in lately due to shorts. Mostly with Hercules/SR71 use but I guess a short is a short. There's an upgraded top that seems to be more robust, first order of business is getting one of those. "Open a ticket" ASAP with W9, do you know how to do that?

Then let's see if we can get a jump on this. What value carts are you using? How confident are you that your concentrate is 'right' for Omicrons?

We can make this work.

I'd like to know what concentrate is "right" for standard omicron/persei carts, especially since my 5 ohm is clogging like crazy right now. Unless it was something I did while loading.
