I would say the the name vaporblunt was the tipping point.
It's kind of hard to say it's an aromatherapy device or e-cig when it has blunt in the name!

I have a Pax, Pinnacle Pro, and just recently recieved my VB 2.0. I love the Pro, the Pax works well but is quirky and requires way too much maintenance. The VB 2 I'm still undecided on as I've packed it about ten times and have only visibly seen vapor a couple times. It's just not hitting well at all.

I've tried each heat setting, totally packed bowl/loosely packed bowl, finely ground herb/lightly ground herb, same result. Feels like I'm just wasting the contents. At times the device powers off and the contents are not even burned, some totally green.

I read about 25+ pages of this thread but struggling to find a suggestion to try. Can anyone provide me a tip to get fuller, more satisfying hits like with the Pro and Pax?

To be honest, I really don't think it is possible as it's a different beast than the Pro & Pax. I really do think this unit shines for those who are after flavour over thick vapor. I am sure you could possibly mod it to change the vapor to air ratio, but out of the box, it is an airy vape.

Got it, thanks man. I'm not ruling it out yet, but if I continue to feel like its not medicating well enough, it'll be sold. Right now (visible vapor or not) I don't feel the affects well enough to keep packing it.

Lastly, I leave all 3 vapes on the charger when not being used, so all day basically. Does this damage or negatively affect them in any way?

It shouldn't damage your batteries, but I generally unplug them once they are fully charges as a precaution. If you do sell this unit, have a look at the pinnacle pro. Packs a real punch for a portable. Maybe you can even contact VaporBlunt to see if you can do some kind of exchange?

I got the Pro a couple weeks ago, that's probably what spoiled me in regards to my comment about the VB 2 not measuring up. The Pro is really nice, all around.

I ordered the water tube over the weekend. It's not here yet but I'm hoping that is the saving grace for the VB 2.

Rock on dude, thanks again for the help.

Ok, so I tried using my dry blend in the oils cap, not the stir cap and it worked much better. Nice visible, thick, full hits. Plus, it holds more botanical. I was really scared I was going to break the glass tube attaching it, but once heated it was able to be worked on, nice and secure.

Whew!

I may have to try this

Okay warming up now, just using 1/4 oil cap full of sour diesel flower. Top grade, dry.

That's odd. I found that packing the oils cap completely full of dry blend on the highest heat setting (packed down pretty well) produced a better experience for me. I get no visible hits through the mouthpiece. At least this way I can actually see vapor.

You get no visible hits through the mp?
Then you arent doing it right buddy!
I can pull some pretty noticeable clouds out of it the standard way, its all about how you pack it imo. I hit it pretty long an steady as well, I have a good pair of iron lungs

That could very well be it, but it wouldn't be for a lack of effort.. I bought the piece based of a number of video reviews, all of which were pulling big thick clouds. I realize they use lighting trickery, but my hits are nowhere near that.

I'm beginning to think mine is defective? Mainly because:
- The button takes forever to turn on (I saw that others had issues too, but mine seems worse than what I've read)
- The heating element takes well over 3 minutes to heat, if using the hottest setting sometimes it takes well over 5 minutes
- At times the device powers off before getting to a full heating at the highest setting (the battery is fully charged)
- Touching the heating element when it shows as ready to vape, at times doesn't even feel hot
- It feels like I'm just sucking on a straw, with nothing on the end of it

I called VB, left two voicemails, emailed the address he lists in this thread and haven't heard anything back yet. Oh well, we'll see.

I can see clearly now the smoke is gone...

That is probably normal. Most people, myself included had a problem getting the unit to turn on until they got the hang of it.

- The heating element takes well over 3 minutes to heat, if using the hottest setting sometimes it takes well over 5 minutes
That also is normal. Actually you can try either leaving it an extra minute or to to build up conduction heat, or try turning on at highest setting and then reducing to desired heat after it reaches max. This will help facilitate clouds.
- At times the device powers off before getting to a full heating at the highest setting (the battery is fully charged)
Not normal. Mine has never done that.
- Touching the heating element when it shows as ready to vape, at times doesn't even feel hot
If by heating element you mean the basket end where you place the herb then this too is not normal.
- It feels like I'm just sucking on a straw, with nothing on the end of it

You may indeed have a defective unit, however I have to warn you that all those videos make it easier than it seems. This unit was one of the more difficult ones I have had to get to work as it should and is very technique driven.

Thanks man, I'm sticking with it. I still feel like the heating element could be jacked though. Haven't given up yet.

My Pinnacle 14mm water piece came yesterday, it's really nice. I originally thought it was compatible with the VB 2.0, but that's probably my fault. I've found that I can use it, but I have to hold it as it doesn't secure tightly. I just put the water tube over the oils cap basket and hold it. It's working ok so far, but I am looking for the actual adapter cap to hook the VB 2.0 up to the 14mm Pinnacle water piece, so it's secure and tight. The accessory piece I found on thevaporblunt.com is for an 18mm piece, I haven't found an 14mm VB 2.0 adapter sold separately yet.

I'm gonna have to say...after taking it out again this morning and giving my herb a firm packing, I ramped it up to full power and got some decently thick and tasty clouds. Impressed! Still an airy vape, there is definitely more power in this package than I realized.

Nice. Did you use the oils basket or regular mouthpiece? Just got done myself, liking the water piece, but I have to use the oil cap only, nothing happening otherwise.

Regular mouthpiece. I feel a good degree of heat too...so if you are not getting that at the highest temp, something is definitely wrong.

I thought I read that using the stir cap on setting 5 was a no no, but I'll try it again, thanks for the suggestion. I really like the piece, but the blend is expensive to feel like it's being wasted on every pack though. Using dry blend in the oils cap is the only luck I've had so far with it (with the water tube and regular tube), but would rather use the thimble.

The Pinnacle Pro is super nice though, TRVB really makes nice stuff. So much so that the Pax is probably getting the boot.

Thanks again for the help, not trying to be a bother. Hate feeling like the 'pesty new guy'.

Not sure about the stir cap on 5...if you find the post, I'd be interested in seeing why.

I am aware of the stir cap issue, I have received two phone calls on it (were you one of them?) my engineers feel they are going to be able to quickly solve the problem. About 30 units have went out that could have this defect and we will be replacing these stir caps with new corrected caps for free if you have that problem, as it is defiantly covered under warranty. Also, Please remember setting five is not to be used with the stir cap.

As for the straw, that is mainly intended for use with oils. I have not put flowers in it that way, but it sounds like it would work. I'll give it a try to see if I can give you some more clear info.

Page 19 of this thread. I guess some units had some melting issues.

Anyone know how to get a hold of VB customer svc? I've left multiple voice mails, sent two emails, pm'd through this site, no reply. Going on almost 3 weeks now.

I'm looking f the VB 2.0 cap with 14mm water piece adapter. Thanks for any help.
