ok guys 18350 insert for the Core is up.

http://www.w9tech.com/the-core-18350-insert/
Hey G,
I got a couple questions. I just ordered the 18350 insert for the Core as soon as I just seen it up there. Now does it matter how many volts we push thru this one? Or do we gotta stay within the realms of what it would be if I was using a normal 18350 battery with a short tube?? What I'm asking is can I run the SR-71 from it either in 3.7 volt or 7.4? Also, I recently tried switching back from running my black heating rod at 4 volts on the Core, to running my white rod, but I wanted to try it at around 6 volts but the top just blinks. It blinks until it's up to 6.4v. The only thing I can think of is that it's the low battery voltage detector on the top is working against the Core so I really can't reach the full potential of ranges that The Core should/could offer! Does that sound right to u?? Or do I have a faulty Core or something? I think a variable voltage top for the Persei would be the best option that u guys could come out with right now!! Is there gonna be an Iris V2 coming pretty soon? That would be much easier than always having to be connected to a wire in order to have the variable voltage. Or maybe, is that what "The 8 Essential Oil Vaporizer" that's coming out is gonna have?? That would be sweet! I love all your products so far and I already pre ordered everything ya got coming now except for "The 8" bcuz I need to know more about it first! I'm sure it'll be something awesome tho bcuz u guys never cease to amaze me!!
EDIT: Also, the "mini Cores" are shipping right away, right? Or is there a wait for those right now too??

Including the tube is a huge offering to me, G! I do already have the SS kit, but keep it in constant rotation... (Should get a picture of my travel case). That frees up the tube for the larger-sized insert... Hmmmmm... :worms:

Guys The Core 18350 insert can do everything the big one can. So there is no backing off.

Unfortunately the Persei Tops have the built in Low Battery Voltage system so its gonna suck not being able use it around 6v. If im not mistaken you can use it at 5.9v or 5.8v. I have to do some double checking.

The Hammer tops also have this voltage protection.

We are working on a mechanical top that has no circuitry just for the Core.
Nice! Will they still have the short circuit protection just in case I screw up and get a short with my Herc SR-71? Idk if I'm gonna upgrade to the SR-74 bcuz I already love my Herc SR-71 and don't want to fix what's not broken if it's gonna mean more parts to break/lose. I'm probably just gonna buy a new SR-74 separately so I have both to compare. Ever since I learned how to properly use the SR-71, I've nver had the short issue, but it's good to know I have the protection tho just in case I'm to stoned and somehow short it! Lol.
EDIT: Oh, and I just tried and can't use the white rod at 5.8v or 5.9v either. Is the new top for the Core gonna be sent to all the Core owners as an upgrade for the Core to work properly or is it something that is gonna cost me more money?? Bcuz since u can't use the Core properly without the new tops, I think it should have been included with the Core already, so it should be sent to core owners as an upgrade to the Core so it can be used to its full potential!!

The Core has back up protections just in case a fuck up, but this is still not a guarantee on anything as we know no technology is not 100% guaranteed.

Ok, cool. Thanks G. Did u read my edit to my last post too yet? It was also asking about the Core and new top situation.

5.4v -6.4v is not accessible with the Core on the Persei tops. This is a design that our engineers insisted to prevent cell over discharge long before the Core was in production. Simply put we have old Tech and new tech and to make it work we have to compromise on some things.

As for the new tops we might do a discount but thats not for sure yet. As that is all we can do.

Ok, a discount sounds fair. It would be greatly appreciated bcuz it seems like as soon as I get something from ya guys there's either an upgrade or a newer and better option out right after and I end up having to pay for both!! Lol. I might as well just set up a direct deposit to your bank account!! Lmao! So ANY discounts would be GREATLY appreciated!! It would be awesome if u would do some kind of point awards for the for purchases we make, so we can put the points towards future purchases. Just like the e-cig websites do!! Hint, hint.. ;-)

Damn, that's a bummer and a deal breaker for me at moment. :( I almost pulled the trigger on The Core but my ideal temps for perfect taste/large hits fall between about 5.8v to 6.2v, so it may not be worth it for me to invest in one at the moment. Can I use my Iris with the Core to achieve voltages in that range? I absolutely love the idea of a variable voltage pass through, but it won't help me much if I can't dial into the voltage I want.

EDIT: Perhaps you guys should add a disclaimer in the description on your site? I can imagine some folks would be pretty pissed only to discover the problem after purchasing it.

The Iris can be used with the Core as long as the Core is put on 8.4v then you can use everything up to 8.4v on the Iris.

As for a disclaimer we will add one for using it with the Persei and Omicron you are right.

Hold on, didn't I run Omicron carts on six Volts using two RCR123As? How'd I get away with that? I can't find any right off to try (of course)......
