Well I love the lotus but it just doesn't compare to the EVO......

yeah, you really can't compare the 2 especially when the engine cc (or something like that, i'm not an engineer) of the cars are so different. i can't speak about the EVO but i do know that the lotus is very well made for it's intended purpose. and as a wise man once said "with the lotus, less is more".

Looks awesome mate!

This is very similar to my custom piece. I have been using it dry instead of a j-hook. Super smooth hits.

Here is a little vid of the piece I mean, wearing the Xmas jumper already lol and I almost drop the bubbler half way through the vid...too much Lotus action maybe!? :D

Anyway, I love my Lotus more and more each day. Taste on those first couple of hits is out of this world

The Lotus will never break. The same can't be said for the EVO. ;)

Edited to add: my power just went out. I'm SO HAPPY I bought a Lotus. Toking in the dark by the light of my dying iphone. :)
Actually I beg to differ. You could always accidentally poke a hole in the top or something.

Hi Max,
Could you or someone else who has done it before confirm me that there isn't any problem to unscrew the bowl from the stem? I mean this won't make any problem to put it back if it is done too much time? No worries about warranty on that point? I would have probably already do it but since it is 2 days old only I still prefer to ask.. Thx
----
I must clarify that the smell is perceptible when I'm putting my nose as close as on it and it is probably "normal" (material?) and will probably wear off with time (will see). This for sure concern me much more less than any kind of "electronic fart" smell for exemple.

For now, after 2 days I feel it will have a lot of use and after a few bowls only I can say it is easy to get good taste and nice vapor production without being to risky to combust. Will get a lot of use and testing with friends and I can already feel they will get results easier on it than on a LB or a Vaponic to compare to a light base vape. Still to compare with Vaponic I find it does handle water filtration much better. It is still so new in my hands but it's seems Lotus deserve his (and more?) popularity.

Does anybody has try with dry-hash only in it?

Why would you unscrew the bowl from the stem mate? I haven't heard anything about it being doable myself…

To clean it from both side. Not that it needs it already but I'm just wondering and think it would be easier. Also I like to see how stuff are done. It seems the bowl is going till the downside of the stem and the vapor is coming through a small hole in the bowl. The fact the vape would be easy to take apart is a + for me. Replaceable plate, etc... The only place where it seems more complicate is between the wood and the second plate with holes inside the cap.

You can just clean the bowl, after you remove the screen, with a pipe cleaner or brush and ISO, then unscrew the little screw and pass the moistened pipe cleaner through it. Rinse with hot water and you are done… I don't think you can take the bowl off though. :)

Just a little update for those interested in the Massdrop buy for the Lotus:

They will have the drop in January, probably so Mendocino Therapeutics can manufacture enough Lotuses.

Still, a very long wait, and I hope the price is right.

Don't try to take the bowl out. It will void the warranty and you'll wreck it. It's pressed into the stem, not screwed in. Pliers and wrenches will bend the bowl. You could pull it out using a lathe or mill but it would still void the warranty. Or am I too late?
