Also I switched batteries into my old one that won't charge and still it wont charge. On the plus side I have a working battery for it for a couple of sessions tonight

I do have a Pipes CARPA, so I have used that actually and it should last a few days at least...and I am already charging the battery in the new unit as well. Might as well keep charging and switching the batteries until the ebay guy comes back to me. I hope he does otherwise it is a complete waste of money...not even one session out of it!

Anyway, it's all good, I know I will get it resolved somehow...just frustrating!

I have had a fair few sessions off the old solo/new battery/PA combo this evening and I am nicely baked. So that is good enough for now

i wonder if that is why those ones on ebay are so cheap, a bunch of my buddies just got a bunch off ebay, i hope they work for them.

i got mine off puffitup and also pv, seems like those would be the best to get from..imho

My 2 Solos have arrived! The one I ordered from the classifieds arrived on monday, and the new replacement for the broken one arrived today, along with an extra stem thrown in for the inconvenience by the dealer. I am so glad I gave this champ another go despite my initial experience. Coming from the Woodeez, this is a whole other beast and I love it. Now I'm just waiting for my AIO+ kit from Pipes to arrive and I'll be set, cheers!

Calling out the Solo Guru's,OF,Pipes,either of you might add if you like, noticed something and wanted either of your take on it:
Solo hooked up to P/A ( original from manufacturer website) OK session ends ,go to remove stem from unit and remove P/A plug and unit stays on.Observations are I can hit a temp button and unit will turn off and some times not and from there begin another session on batt. if I chose. I figure if I pull out the P/A plug a bit faster,yes and no there as well. Unit is still functioning well .. Wondering if maybe plug on bottom might be getting a loose connection, or maybe processor (if this has one,would think some sort of circuitry control) is going,dont have the vaguest idea. I make sure when I plug it in nowadays ,I hear the tone of it turning on by the P/A powering it up. If not I noticed Im on batt. and then I re-insert kick off the tone and know Im good to go. Never dropped always secured well when traveling in crate foam cut out, no issues other than this situation mentioned..

I dont think it warrants send back,just curious if its maybe a sign maybe observed in the past by some, if any one else had something similar ,hmmm me no got em back up if this one has to go and even if it doesnt,I think I might get another, love this thing. IMO so versatile especially w/ WT's and a workhorse disguised in a little package, without argue best bang for the buck as well. it might be considered on the cheap, but it is the "home" unit as well as the "on the go" also. 2 of em would be good insurance.

Speaking of the glass honeycomb screens, I've been looking for some. I found ones that are 3/8". @ataxian, is this the right size? I couldn't find any others.

I have some 3/8 HC glass screens and they seem too small for the solo Stem/GonG IMO but I haven't seen any other sizes. I kinda gave up on getting more glass screens since the shorty stems and ultra fine screens are doing well.

For some reason you need to take lead out of solo, if I unplug first it turns on! No biggie I just turn it off

Smart to clarify OF. No, I purchased from a dx link you posted, but what I eventually received, has a flame adjustment ring around the ignition button, not on the bottom as you describe.

I guess I got the "or equivalent" clause.

Interesting. Mine has a such a ring, but it's a button lock. It's hard to see how an valve adjustment there could happen, the valve is on the inside, not like on a Bic. The normal system with this (and it's a real common system), is to turn the fill valve and liquid deliver tube from below. Look around the fill port, there should be two notches? Turn that part of the insert with a screwdriver. Do a 1/8 or at most 1/4 turn at a time.

I've bought 3 batches of those guys over a couple years, they are all the same. As are "Honest" brand (similar), and several other lighters I own. Including my "Blazer" brand lighter (which has a plastic knob pressed over that same brass fitting).

Wow, who needs to go farther than 5. My stuff was almost burning as I overkilled my bowl yesterday, by accident(noob). This giving me some combustion and nausea, the abv was almost charred. But I think I'm getting to know my level. This thing is insane, I can't wait to sandwich some concentrates. May everybody stay toasty .

Hi, I've just signed up for FC after much reading through to make my decision on my 1st vape. I have now ordered the Arizer Solo and I cant wait to get using it! I have tried read through this thread to find which accessories I should get but 800+ pages was taking sometime lol. If someone could please recommend which they would say are like essential to own and others consider? I have only ordered a Vapcase so far. Thanks for the help

Necessary (IMO):
@Pipes AIO+ stand/power adapter (see thread in the vape related products forum)
Quality grinder ( small to medium 2 piece Santa Cruz shredder is a good unit. Space case is good too.)

Look into getting:
Domed screens for the stems
Planet Vape High Efficiency (PVHE) Stems/GonG (prefer the Shorty versions)
Pinnicle MicroShower Water Tool (PNWT) - Goes with the 14mm PVHE GonG (glass on glass fitting) and is on sale until Friday for $50.00.

I'm good up to six with the WT. At seven its irritating even with water and the ttaste is terrible. IDK how people use that setting for anything but novelty. Maybe I'm doing it wrong?

I speculate those high levels are for concentrates, like oils that need higher temps.
On that note, I wonder if when you sandwich your material the bud gets too hot on the edges or if the concentrate will melt onto the herb and keep it from burning, that nasty flavor is not something I want to try again. I guess it's science time

O.O My mind is full of fuck, how is this so cheap and so damn good, I just got mine out the box and it's working, the vape, omfg the vape. Bless the makers of this thing, my honeycomb glass screens are very happy right now, after that Ascent nightmare so far... now back to work I go...

Go back about 100 pages and read fwd or just read backwards if that doesn't bother you. I am fairly sure all the info should be within those pages. Also reading from the beginning is not necessary as that was the original ceramic bowl model. Also old fixes where now there are diff ones.

heres some links My Vapecase has one regular stem, one GONG (glass on glass https://www.planetvape.ca/pvhegong-high-efficiency-gong.html ) adapter that attaches to my fbomb ( a water peice that attaches to the GONG https://www.planetvape.ca/f-bomb-jet-diffused-micro-bubbler-tube.html ), one jar of weed, and my solo.
