I was originally going to purchase a Solo from eBay and decided that, in the interest of the least resistance when/if it came to warranty work, I wanted the seller to be in my own country. Yeah, I paid $200 CAN for a Solo, but, to be guaranteed to be warranted against defects, I think it's worth it.

I'm glad I waited. I've been using the MFLB since before the release of the Solo and I'm now ready to go for it. I feel like I could be waiting forever for the Davinci Ascent, so, yeah, Solo it is!

Got my stand from @Pipes today...awesome job buddy.

Here is a pic for reference against the 3d printed docks

I have to push the Solo in pretty hard to make the connection, but once it is pushed home there are no issues. It fits very snugly and is far less bulky than my other dock.

Very happy camper here :D

I started off with a MFLB.
The SOLO was flavor city right off the bat.

I just took advantage of PV's latest offer of Solo+PA for $179 (with free shipping for those of you in N.A. I believe). Actually, I got a second PA for $19 in the same order, effectively making it a '2 for the price of 1' deal on the PAs.

This order is for friends. This will be the 5th friend that I've converted to the Solo family in the last 4 months, all previous combusters, all new to vaping. It's been a simple process really; turn up at their place, blow them away with the Solo, ask them, "Do you want to own one for x amount?" and then return two weeks later with new Solo in hand. I feel like a traveling Solo salesman.

For first time vaporists, I don't think the Solo can be beat.

PV code: SOLOPA179

So my Solo arrived just now! Whoop whoop!!

Currently charging, anything I need to do before vaping my first load? Run a couple of cycles to burn any residue out of the bowl?

Fully Charge your unit!

Put it on level 6 or 7 and let it time out. (12 minutes)

Then your ready to go.

Some warm up the glass before loading.

I like level 4 for water and dry.

Depends on the cure of my flowers however sometimes level 3 works in my case dry.
If you just started vaporizing level 5 might be your starting point?

Find your own sweet spot.

Thanks mate, will do as you have advised.

Ive been vaping for about 2 years now via my Extreme Q. Started with the bags but have been vaping via a bent neck tube for about 18 months now, the bags are in the bin! Still roll a joint or two before bed, hoping this will cure that habit.

I usually start at 190c and work up to 220C-230c depending on how I feel.....elbow packs only.

I will probably do the same with the Solo, start at level 4 and work up to level 7.........im looking forward to all the experimentation to find my sweet spot ;)

And by the by, it was all of your posts using the Solo with various glass that convinced me to buy one.

I cant believe how excited I am to start using this, feel like a kid at xmas.

I like concentrates a lot however the SOLO gave me a love for FLOWERS.

Guy's spent $1000's on the next new vaporizer and good for them!
I can buy whatever I want however why waste money?
Remember that: "Human want's are insatiable"!
We always want more.

Personally I think the CANNABIS FLOWER is why vaporizers exist!

The SOLO is so simple and effective.
Play with glass. (all kinds)

These things are really fun.
The SOLO does the job in my case.

Plus I can't smoke joints so this is the best for me!

torontovaporizer.ca. i wasn't aware of the stock status until i placed the order

From torontovaporizers.ca.

That's a serious case of the hiccups, son.

How long has this been happening? I find it surprising that they'd have trouble getting stock for the Solo.

I would cancel ASAP and order from planetvape.ca... they have been super awesome in every transaction i've ever had with them, they're located in Ontario, they have full warranty, you can get a PVHES stem while you're at it with the savings from paying $160 instead of $200... it's a nobrainer... they have a deal for a solo + a power adapter too for 179 which is awesome as well.

Up to you tho :p

There are new model solos everywhere, if someone is out of stock, don't wait, cancel.

I got the red translucent stand for the SOLOL + AIO + f-BOMB stand from @Pipes , so awesome. I can run that SOLO without restarting and it blazes on step 7 and through multiple sessions holds almost full charge.

It was cloudy with a chance of clouds during NFL day at my house. Concentrate/flower sammic.

Although my last batch of concentrates wasn't up to par for me, the Durban iso glass was nasty flavored, and this indica taffy I got was way too sticky/shiny. The Girl Scout Cookie taffy was good consistency, but my dispensary is unreliable in terms of concentrate stock and what they display on the website. Too many 'munchie' strains and not enough power strains.

+1. I got 2 solos from them and got them delivered the next day. And the PVHES really does makes a difference for me. I think its a must for new solo users to experience them many times to find your prefered one. And when i got my pvhes in may, it came with an o-ring and normal screen. Everything you need.

They are sponsors of the forums and are active too. That gave me a safe feeling buying from them.

Whoa ,
Plastic tops ? That's a new one .
How come we've never heard about that ?

Forget about the SKU model #'s ,
but I'll be making sure that PV sends me one with a metallic top and NOT a plastic top . :2c:

In fact , I had just recently dropped mine and put a nice battle scar on my Silver cap .
And I was hoping to order just another silver cap , ( anyone know how much ? )
I guess that will be another thing to talk with PV before I order .

I was charged only $5.00 for a replacement cap-metal.

So, I had ordered a Plenty and it still has not shipped. While waiting I discovered this incredible site...I know, a bit late, huh? Anyway, I am concerned that with the Plenty I hear it really eats away your trees, because I would be primarily solo vaping. Would this be a good alternative? I am new to vaping and was intrigued by the Plenty, but also was intrigued about conserving bud through vaping, is this a good vape for conserving for a single user?

Thanks much for any help everyone.

Conservationists swear by log style vapes. I've never used one. I own 3 portables.

DaVinci conserves the best with my use (small chamber to start with, convection heating etc...)
PAX gets the hottest, which can lead to the most dense clouds
SOLO is the balance between the 2, and far easier to use and maintain IMO. Some have good luck with conservation, but I've been using it with water tools for clouds

So what do you recommend I get with or shortly after getting my solo? What's this PVHS thing everyone is mentioning?
