Which do you prefer more, your new bubbler or F-Bomb? (I'm assuming the bubbler but still wanted to ask)
You know what? I actually think I prefer the f-bomb as far as cool Solo hits go...the bubbler is awesome, but still makes me cough a little on higher temps...I can take the f-bomb to seven without coughing, and then realising that I have inhaled LOADS of vapour :D

But then I have only had both of them about 5 hours now...needs more testing for a proper comparison and to really say which serves me best in the long run!

Yeah I should've clarified that I was asking about which one pairs better with the Solo for smooth hits.

The bubbler obviously looks nicer.

You're welcome.

I seem to recall something like that, but not having one I didn't pay too much attention. You can easily 'dome' flat screens up (like on the back of a Sharpie pen). I like 5/8 inch for this (smaller dome), some guys use 3/4 for more dome, lower volume.

I still think mesh size is the first thing to decide.

These finer meshed screens are cheap and work.
I use the PLANET VAPE screens when I have them.
Packs of 500 are cheap on ebay.
Don't be deceive by the cheaper ebay offering.

More is not always best!

However the ones from PLANET VAPES are a larger mesh size and clean up with ISO.

Less is more sometimes!

Hey FCers, came up with a good solution to hold the HVHEGong stems. I thought it was a pita to always press a nipple on the stem each time while taking a haul.

So I came up with a simple mod that pretty much anyone can do. All that is needed is a couple wire tie wraps that will fit through the slits on top of the Solo.

Feed one up through the bottom via a slit, wrap once around the stem and back through a different slit. Cut the end off a second pull tie for the locking piece and slide it on the other side coming back out under the top.
Do not push too tight as can always tighten later but cannot loosen. Took me a couple goes before getting it right. Easy to get tighter then needed, and makes it a little harder to navigate the loaded stem through it.

Here it is before the stem is twisted into the loop. Just need to help the loop up a bit and twist (clockwise in this case) so the nipples catch under the loop.

Hre it is after the twist and the loop is above the nipples. Ready for action.

I can easily pick the whole unit up via the stem. Locked good.

And as an added bonus, you can now hang the Solo to store it.

Now I have no idea about fuming and such but suspect it's not hot enough to make it gas. Now if I am wrong, I hope someone will clarify the safety aspects.

Simple is always the best......and cheapest.

Nice ,
how much and what size adapter will you need to fit it ? 14mm or 18 mm ?

The one in the photo is 18mm female, so ideally i'd get a 18mm male gong.

They're about the same price. The one in the photo is about 12" tall, so it's a bit bigger than the f-bomb.

hmmm , 12 inches seems a tad big for the Solo .
Just measuring it out in my mind .

No. 12 inches would be a LOT bigger. Over twice as tall. The F-bomb is about 5.5 inches tall making it a bit taller than the Solo (a bit shorter with the GonG stem in place. That WT, while pretty, is going to be taller than the Solo with the F-bomb all by itself?

you make a good point. perhaps it would be a bit too awkward. hopefully the f-bombs are back in stock soon.

I got my 14mm PVHEGonG to go along withy my Solo and Pinnacle Water Tube. Damn is that a match made in heaven. Smoooth, cool hits, and I've blown some clouds on setting 4 that have definitely impressed my buddies. Has anybody done any comparisons of the Pinnacle WT and the F-Bomb? I'm assuming it's an almost identical experience.

you could also look for the pinnacle water tool. it is almost the exact same thing (they are the same thing to me till someone who has both can tell me different)

Do most Solos form a vacuum making it hard to draw? I have to struggle to sip enough vapor to blow a cloud, is that the MO of this vape? It's very efficient due to the restricted airflow and it does produce clouds. Using about 1/4 of my typical VXC ELB, maybe .1 or .2 grams. Any technique to increase airflow producing heavier hits?

Some QWISO from about 2 ounces of Solo ABV back in the Solo it goes :brow: a bit messy trying to get it in with some herb, need my concentrate tray and MFLB for this stuff really. Super sticky....

Very nice , Krizzle .
I've been wanting to try the ABV too , but wasn't sure if it will be worth it tho .
I forgot to mention earlier , the reason why I'll be making more qwiso .
It's because it's more potent , it's like concentrated THC in a drop , I'm guessing .

I use a flat head screwdriver as my dabbing tool for now . ( as shown in my pics )
Get some goo on the end , heat up the stem part of the screwdriver to conduct the heat down
to the goo . And watch it drip onto the pile of herb , that way , you don't actually set flame to the oil .
Then I wipe the rest off on another pile .

It's the Solo's version of a ' double decker ' ...

Generally those are two different things. The draw will become easier as the seal around the stem relaxes and air is admitted down that way as well as through the gap under the seal (between it and the cup). There's also another restriction that happens when the air has to do a u-turn around the end of the stem, tipping the stem usually improves this.

Planet Vape sells custom stems to improve on this flow still further with grooves down the side and notches on the rim. There's also a Turbo version with the center of the glass screen drilled out.

All of these can lead to increased airflow. They don't, however do much for the rate of vapor production, adding a lot of cold air works against you two ways, it robs heat that would make vapor otherwise and it dilutes the vapor that's produced. The vapor volume is, of course bigger, but not necessarily more potent. Like so much in life, a compromise.

Each scheme has it's fans I guess. I like the PVHES because it makes hitting easier, but I don't use it as license to go for clouds as I'm a sipper at heart. IMO it's pretty easy to overrun the Solo with heavy honking on low resistance setups (especially when added by water tools). Others love doing it.

Your call.

I get huge clouds vaping right from this PVHES Female GonG, set @ 5-7, no water tool attached! See below. Very comfortable for the lips, like sipping on a cup. Draw is easy. I also use a bent turbo PVHES that draws easier than OEM as well, and gives big rips no problem! The purported cool convection/cloud ratio attributed to the turbo doesn't seem to create a negative factor for me.

So, I got the f-bomb and I love using it, but I have a quick question. Once I am done with a session, how do I remove the water in the tube for storage?

I just kind of shake the thing, and that gets rid of the water inside and it works, but there has to be a more efficient way...right?

KRnoS, You kind of swirl the FBomb around at it will empty out in a few seconds....

I leave the water in for a few sessions....

Vaporito the large mouth piece turns me away from these types of attachments.
You like the way this draws?

Yep, I like it a lot. You can put your lips around it, or better one lip in and one out like when you drink from a bottle of beer....

The more I use it the more I like it. And the size is just right, not too large. It pairs quite well with the Solo itself.
