Discontinued Tvape Vaporizer

I can't get a "good" first hit from mine unless I were to wait for the temp to rise or for more vapor to form. But it does tend to be more flavor less vapor on the first, but that just seemed pretty normal to me.

My short works fine for me. Always produces visible vapor on the first exhale.

PP, I'm glad you're happy with the short tube, but I'm having a bit of trouble reconciling your last two posts. How is the vapor from the short tube compared to the vapor from your UD?

Just got home, got the Tvape in the mail :) I will be giving it a good run tomorrow after I rest up and get more clear headed. I did put some herbs in and fired it up for a fast test run and got a couple of good vapor hits, but not enough use at this point to really give this a proper review.

First impressions, it worked on first try, got some visible vapor, mouthpiece tastes a bit rubbery... more to come...

Here is the first video, skip to around 1:47 for the T-Vape

There is a second video, but it's still uploading so here are some pics of the abv.

And the end result ABV from the second video

@grokit My technique has improved and the herb I have now is not as moist so the hits on the first exhale tend to have vapor, I also thought it would be somewhat convenient for you to see a video of the UD vapor versus the T-Vape vapor.
The underdog has an easy draw and will fog up the whole room with one good hit, and several coughs. But the T-Vape is restricted and with a good hit the vapor would dissipate quicker than the UD.

Thanks for posting that, you have a nice little line up there: ac, butane, and batteries

I feel like my short oven must be defective in comparison, because I don't get those kind of clouds even with a commercially-rolled cigarette.

Great video Thanx .
Now I have to mess with my short tube a little more or seek a replacement . I get nowhere near the same results as yours look much closer to what I get from the long tube .

Edit; my long tvape is getting up to vaping temp faster now , good hits after 10-15 seconds .
that's after a hit or two . seems to be the unit and not a learning curve .

I have a Question . Is there a break in period for electronics ?? I know some things mechanical take time in use to work their best I never really thought the same for electronics .

It seemed in the video that you were holding down the button the whole time? Is this a technique of yours? Beneficial?

That would be THE technique, I would stop pressing the button if I didn't want vapor, but being that this was a video my main goal was to show you guys vapor.

I only do that because I am under the impression that if I am not pressing the button then the T-Vape is not heating nor staying hot enough to keep vaping my herbs. (Green just keeps it on, you will notice as soon as you stop pressing vapor stops forming as heavily as it was) I definitely could have taken breaks but I didn't want two fifteen minute long videos.

If that seemed odd I suppose you can think of the T-Vape working like many flame based portables do, its just a bit deceiving at first because we were told that once it's at a temperature it stays there.
What I think they meant was that it would stay at a warm temperature to be available immediately so you don't have to wait a minute thirty for heat up. To me it's like hitting the Hammer or Lithe, initial heat up, then shorter (roughly 10 seconds of) heating for when taking the follow up hits.

EDIT:
I removed the screen I put in the oven, the herb making contact with the silicone will get put into the vaping action with a couple of shakes. I only removed the screen from the oven because this makes cleaning instant.

Also, pictures. Ever want to know how I put these screens on mine?

EDIT 2:
And oh yeah, MFLB stems can be jammed in that mouthpiece, and it does slightly help with airflow.

Thanks for posting the vids... I tried mine a couple of times last night and was getting ok results, some vapor at first then noticing it not hitting so well. I just now tried the- press the button technique - (like in the video above) to warm up after green light, and held it about 10 sec before hitting and got much larger hits, one after another, every time this way.

I don't know if this was the intended use of the device, but it seems to be working better if you hold the button about 10 seconds before hitting each time. I do need more time, to get to know this device a little better though, I've sort of rushed through the learning curve. So far it seems to be doing better with the button held down. I'm not sure if they meant to have it work the way described and it just isn't performing correctly, or if they have the instructions translated wrong. Yesterday, the few times I tried to use it as instructed, I would let it turn green, then hold the button for almost 20 seconds to raise the temp, then let go (turning green) and then try to hit it, assuming the temp got raised and stayed there. It would give me a hit or two, then the next try would be almost no vapor, so I would hold the button for another 10 sec or so again, then let go for the green light and hit it... same results. I do think you are onto something payton...

Thank you for the tips paytonpenn your technique greatly improved the performance of both the tubes for me tonight , very much Appreciated .

In the future I will try not to speak as harshly about a vaporizer as I did the short tube TVape without spending much more time with it or at least waiting for a post to straighten it out .

I was Wrong about the short it worked pretty well through a few sessions tonight not far off how the long tube worked for me just last night . And The long tube is better tonight .
Paytonpenns insights brought it to a much higher level . ..................

Yeah truely, i hold it down almost the whole session, i take maybe 5 drags without holding the button, with good vapor all the way through. I still think i will use the pax mostly for tobacco but i will use the tvape when the pax is charging or at night time cause i think it's cool then.

Also last night i put half kief and half little chunks of kief hash, filled half way, and using paytons method i got like 20 drags out of it, the abv was completely fried when i was finished haha. I was very happy about this because this same material in the davinci oil can was not producing good results, same with the pax, but the tvape could handle it.

After trying the hold button down technique, my abv is much darker and more uniform. I feel I got a much more thorough extraction. I even filled the chamber solid with a light pack (mimicking a pre-rolled) and got good results and a load that just kept hitting until it obviously tasted done. Thanks for cracking the code. Even if this is not the intended way to use this, it seems to be working. I was getting similar results as the rest of you at first, and glad there is a work around. I still don't like the taste of the mouthpiece much, hoping it fades as the rubber oxidizes more. I feel it interferes with the flavor of my herbs. Might start exploring other options for a MP. Having to hold the button to keep the heat going puts this back into the "manual driver" category for me. I don't think I'll be letting go of my Pax just yet...

I believe TVape owes the FC Jedi some big props(and possibly replacement mouthpieces) and might want to incorporate FC's findings into the TVapes instructions. Until a couple of posts back, this vape's future(at least on FC) was looking bleak. Now, it may be a contender. That equals $s to a company, the whole reason they exist, hope they appreciate the cauldron of truth that is FC.
@jambandphan03 Regarding your rubber mouthpiece flavor, I've used coconut oil to completely eliminate the rubber taste from a variety of vape mouthpieces.

Awesome tip Adobewan!! I love coconut oil, it's good for everything!! :D

...btw, I've been running the Tvape through glass ( PN WT and $40 bub) and getting good results, now that I am holding the button down. I am feeling the effects strongly, after it gets good and warmed up. I would have liked to have had an "automatic" portable as advertised, but at least this one is working now.

I agree that the printed instructions are a complete fail. I have sent my short tube off for an exchange for a long one and will report back. The short tube might be nice as an added accessory but if you are to only use one tube it seems like the long tube is the one to have. I have high hopes that the more powerful tube combined with the improved technique will satisfy me!

For the coconut oil thing, do you put it in the nipple then wash of with water or something? Common sense tells me its something like this but just thought i would ask. I understand what you guys mean about the taste.

So, I gave the tube a solid pack, held down the button, and put it up to some of my glass...that was my first attempt at pairing it up with the big piece, I just decided to grab the big bub at the last second and give it a rip... glad it worked..
:dog:

That take got me ripped btw...:ko:

I have both of those tools, can't wait to give this another try!

For the record I was leaning on the button pretty hard even with pre-rolled tobaccy. It would turn color but I was not getting clouds. I wouldn't be surprised if something was up with my tube. I sure hope it's the tube and not the battery unit.

I don't know why I expected air to flow through the smoking material. When you draw air, the air enters all around where the rubber meets the unit. So the air flow is very restricted and only flows over the chamber, not through it. So, load only what you're going to hit at the moment, because it's just going to cook your material, even if you're not drawing.

Also, my experience... don't waste your time with the short tube I haven't tried the long tube yet, but I hope it's a much better experience.

I'm using the short tube, and getting good results, so I'm not sure why you guys are having so much trouble with it unless you just got a dud. I just let mine get good and hot before I start hitting it (learned this technique from using the Thermovape gear). Also been stuffing my chamber full with a gentle pack to make it solid, trying to mimic the density of a pre-rolled cig. I experimented with small amounts and was not as pleased with the vapor production, though I was able to get a hit or two off of a tiny amount. I started to think of this oven like a tube version of the pax oven, since the chamber heats but does not have much (if any) air flow. I am still a bit confused by the fact that it's working well for some and not others. When I plugged the Tvape into the big glass piece for the video, I had to hit it pretty hard to get that level of vapor production.

I also found that after a few hits with a solid pack tube, I like to empty it, mix the herbs around and reload to finish for a more even extraction. This thing is so easy to clean and load. I've been using the push rod to tamp my load down with too. The coconut oil has helped get rid of the rubbery taste of the mp tremendously. I just applied it generously all over, and then wiped clean with a paper towel, and q tip for the inside. I also removed the ceramic filter and place a small screen in the opening.

Here is a pic of my abv from my last load... the spoon would be a 1 hit in my sublimator... I put about 4-5 of those in for a load. I will likely finish it off in the sublimator and get another hit out of it.

How does this compare in size and performance to the Inhalater?
