wowee!!! so i was right. that .250ml difference is HUGE! i have great air flow now, i can pull thru my water piece well. props to whoever pointed out that the old TV WP adapter fits straight into the cera, btw.
i can see why OF and toros23 thought i might've been mistaken. that crack is TINY. am so glad i sent it back tho. holee sheeeiiiiit! no more clogged omi cart feeling. my mobius and dirty rico both reflect airflow when activating, the more flow, the more the percs fire and b4 my dr would only fire 1 or 2 rows, now it's 5 or 6. thick milky hits. much happier camper over here.

No vids? ;)

For sure.

This one's got me stumped for now. Sounds like way too much current shutting down the battery protection circuit.....only IMRs don't have them.....

Say, what battery are we talking about? A protected battery and a LL core with a badly distorted heater coil that could short to the wall (raising the current dangerously) might be in play?

OF

Panasonic 2250s i was testing them some more. Battery 1 will start the heater core and after 3 seconds it will shut off(this one hissed at me). Battery 2 was shutting off after around 15 sec, but strangly enough, every time I turned it on it lasted progressively longer each time, now it works fine. Do you think it's the heater core, batteries or a combination of both. The metal screw part of the ll core is slightly loose too...

I'd really hate to have to send my baby away for another week and find out the batteries were the problem -.-

Just dropping in to leave this here...

Hey Carlo,

It looks great. A vast improvement. I might just have to order a Cera to celebrate. Are all the gen 1 accessories you had on the old web store still available? I looked, but couldn't find them. I was after a dart loading tool to file down and use as a UFO with my evo and smooth flow.

I do not believe they sell any old gen products anymore.
Although, there is a RUMOR that they will again, one day...maybe

There has been a few items available on the website up until it was updated a couple of days ago. Not the whole range, as they are not making gen 1 parts anymore, just old stock that hasn't sold. I'm assuming it just hasn't made it on to the updated website. I may just need to email them to get it included in my order.

Tim, quick question, where can I get that new EO mouth piece for my EO cart ? I can't see it in the shop.

Hey Delphi, TF, and BM,

Hi. AFAIK BM is correct about Old gen products. However don't be deterred - shoot TET an email (or give them a call) and if you ask nicely (or beg if need be) they might be able to find some of those MP's laying around the shop. Can't hurt to try.

Delphi,
I'm not sure but the white MP shown on the EO cart looks like the short (there were short, med and long MPs) restricted airflow MP that was available for some gen1 products. I think I saw some of those in the shop the last time I visited.

TF,
Tet's customer service is tops! You might even persuade the guys to grind down that Dart tip for you.

Good luck to all,
NN

Hey NoName,

Thanks for the advice on the dart tip. I'm never too quick to ask for extra service like this as I don't like to be a hassle. I guess when a company likes to give a high level of customer service I could see it as giving them the opportunity.

As far as the gen 1 stuff goes (including the mouthpiece Delphi asked about), there was definitely stuff for sale up until 2 days ago, including long mouthpieces and smooth flows. I'm guessing it hasn't made it on to the update yet, or isn't going to. And people will just need to ask.

The mouthpiece on the EO and EL in the photos looks to me like the restricted revolution mouthpiece, which was only available in the mid length.

Wow, as previously recommended, I loosened the EO core to increase the gap in the body. HUGE difference. I was pulling some london fog. Forgive me while I go find my mind.

Also, the Cera mates perfectly into the infamous 40 dollar bubbler.

I'm glad I stuck through with this company, they deliver in the end! I could definitely see them refreshing the (already good) airflow design for the EO core for maximum performance. Call it Captain EO. :smug:

That's all. I'll go crawl back into my hole.

Also hoping to see another batch of custom MPs be made that a previous forum member designed/created (I forget the name). The 510 driptips work OK, but I'm not a fan of the grommet used to seal the top in that mod. I've since returned to the stock MP.

Doesn't sound good at first guess I'd say the switch is breaking down or possibly the connection of the strap to the ring the switch assembly screws into. Either one will cause a point of high resistance, in turn causing heat in the wrong place (Ie: not in the heater).
Have u noticed a drop in production? Increase in time to start seeing a glow?
I'd contact TET and get her looked over.

Functionally it work great. Heats the core just fine and getting big clouds. Its the switch that worries me. Is there anybody that has had this issue before me. As long as it works I happy but I am worried there is a problem that will continue to get worse.

Hey bill, welcome to the fun!
I dont got my cera jet, but read the whole thread from the beginning (include the original first, which is now closed because of chaos).
I would recommend to try OF's aluminum foil short circuit method to get to know if the switch causes the problem;)
I would explain, but its easier to check ThermoVape Cera-Vaporpedia.com at troubleshooting:brow:
I hope that helps!

EDIT: I'm not sure why the link doesn't work!?

Thanks for the help. The link does not work for me but I found what you were talking about. So sad to have to fiddle with it. It seems so high quality its surprising to have issues.

Don't mean to stray off topic, but am I the only one waiting for a coupon offer from TET? Last year they had coupons for Mother's Day and Memorial Day, I keep waiting to pick up another EO cart! Maybe July 4th????

Are you saying that unscrewing the core a couple turns will increase airflow?

Hey toros23, don't get me wrong, but I think you are waiting in vain!
There were several discussions about it some time ago.
They won't offer any coupons IIRC, because TET want to keep the actual prices?

I hate to be negative but I believe it will continue to get worse till death... As this is a new occurrence it means something is changing in there which is not good news.
The foil trick will eliminate or confirm the switch problem, if you go ahead with it and the metal ring stays cool then you know you can just send in the switch and keep limping on with the foil switch till you get a new one. But if there is still heat then you know it is the strap in the body and it will all have to go in.

My opinion? If I was in the States I would just send it all in, a week or two without Cera for piece of mind is worth it in my book. Plus TET will be more that happy to help, I would contact them and get a dialogue going see what they think at the least.

Just over a week off finally getting my cera I am no longer able to use it. I know TET will stand behind my unit breaking just sucks it was so soon after getting it.

Basically went to put the unit in my pocket, thought it was in my pocket, let go and it landed bottom down on the floor. The button was unscrewed a bit after falling and I tried taking everything apart and putting new batteries in but it didn't fix the problem. Prob was a little less then a 3 foot drop but it apparently ruined the device.

After watching the videos of coffee mugs breaking I'm really shocked this small drop broke the device. Thought it would be more durable for the money. Dropped my dart a few times and had nothing but small dents in the metal body or scratches in the derlin.

What are the chances of further damaging the Cera with the foil? I would hate to fry the coil or battery or maybe the strip. Thanks for helping

Well here is the story. I got impatient like always and jammed some foil up in there and it worked perfect. I seamed to work even better than the switch! No heat at all. Sucks but now I know so I feel better. Thanks for all your help, looks like we are sending the switch back for a fix.

Great glad to have helped, there should be no problems using the foil I did for a few Weeks right at the start waiting for a new switch and no probs at all, just try not to twist it while in there I was paranoid of snagging the copper strip but probably unfounded. The improvement is further proof that the switch.

Out of interest what switch do you have is it flat or slightly rounded? I'm guessing flat... Doubt there are any rounded ones that would have lasted this long.

The switch is the flat one. Crazy it fried already. Only 2 weeks:( But I have foil. The lady is going to be the most upset.

Yeah it's a shame there is nothing that can be done about these infancy deaths, but it's the way of the world, I've built a lot of Pc's in my time and it's very hit and miss... Though you can be sure if if makes if past a few Weeks you should be good for a long time, in Ceras case probably until eternity.

Basically zero, which is why I suggested it. I'm reluctant to suggest things that guys can use to get deeper into trouble as you might guess.....kinda goes against what we're tying to do and all.

I'm glad you sorted it out, but sorry the switch is giving you trouble. It really is a very demanding service we need, very very few switches are up to the task. However, once an individual one is past a hundred or so full power cycles (on and off) I suspect it's good for the long haul. The first (round dome) switches had that going on, lots of them dieing in the first few weeks (or even days).

Until then I'm glad a wad of foil will keep you vaping.

Regards,

OF
