Discontinued Thermovape Cera

thanks for the help!

this buildup on the walls seems to be stuff that won't vape, so i'm pretty sure it's waxes and plant matter. i've been able to stick a glass dabbing tool in there and pull it all out with no fuss, is that safe to do, or do i have to do a full iso clean every time i want to clear any muck out?

i'll do a foil test, but this is a one-time source for oil, and i got a few grams of it fairly cheaply. if it's not going to damage the cera, then i think i'll run through it and then do a full cleaning.

You're quite welcome, glad to help if I can.

I see no problem with carefully fishing stuff out, just be sure to not hit the ceramic plate or rings below it. It's very brittle and while a few chips might not be a big deal, they can also fall out since the lip that holds it is very small (for the obvious reasons).

A foil test is fast and after you've done it a few times gives you an 'instant feel' for how the concentrate performs in the Cera. I recommend it as much for calibration on you as a quality check on goods you've already paid for and can't get more of anyway. I'd do as you suggest, enjoy it now and clean the core later if you think it needs it then. They're tough little rascals you know.

I think you're experience with oil migration is common enough. I have the feeling that harder stuff stays put better but can't back that up. Early on in the testing I went through a fair number of types, some are definitely better in that respect than others. I too find wiping it down fairly often keeps things going fine. Some guys like to recover it either by scraping the flat surfaces with a razor blade (part of the design, BTW) or doing an ISO soak and evaporation. I have access to good oils at reasonable prices so I pass here.

Enjoy it, it's what you put your bucks up for, right?

Does anybody know if TET will sell the Cera at retail stores like the T1 and Revolution.
And if the answer is yes, how much do we expect to pay per a SS unit with one core.
Thanks.

Mestizo

Actually yes, but the retailers are only going to get the Ti versions.
My buddy owns a store and is waiting for the shipping info on 5 Ti ceras,
of which one is mine! And I'm pretty excited if you can't tell!

Thought you all might be interested in my mouthpiece project. They're dropping it in the mail tomorrow. Can't wait to try it out.

This is made from high grade Alumina, a close cousin to Zirconia. I got my hands on high precision Cera measurements so it should mate perfectly. I'm going to ask that he not polish the next ones so much but this is it.

It mates on it like this:

Cute, NTS, looks just like you! It's got it's mother's eyes though, doesn't it?

By the looks of it, it's not a polish, but a glaze? The light pattern in the second photo is kind of a give away (even if we didn't already know that's the traditional finish...). Aside from cosmetics and fit I'm not sure it matters?

Anyway, fun project, I'm interested in how it goes, please keep us posted?

Good luck.

Nah, not really. Just wanted it to match a little better but I'm all about function over fashion so it's perfectly fine as-is

For sure! I should have it in 5-10 days. I will post my my findings after I've had a chance to try it out

Cool mouthpiece! So by extending it what benefits do you get? Cooler vapor, less heat transfer?

Thanks!

First let me start by saying that the existing mouthpiece is pretty good as-is. Not doing this because I need to. The LL cart poses unique challenges that I think will be better addressed by this custom mouthpiece. Can't wait until my state legalizes it..will switch over to good oils then and will see my Cera really shine.

Few things you get...
  1. Direct vapor path - all Ceramic
  2. Easier to pull - UFO is nice but it restricts air flow
  3. More room for the vapor to cool down (it can come out a bit hot with the LL cart)
  4. More room for the heat from the LL cart to dissipate. The body gets a bit hot otherwise
  5. Makes it look less phallic (especially with the rubber mouthpiece - wife still makes fun of me...doesn't look so bad when she does it though ;))
I only have to buy 10 of these things from the manufacturer to meet our agreement. I'm giving three away to FC members who have helped me along the way and then I'm taking a spare for myself, which leaves six left, which I am selling at cost (well, actually a loss after I give away three). After that you guys will have to buy them on your own (+ screens) through AliExpress.com. I'll post pictures after I've had a chance to test.

You got it. I have two left from the 10 that I am required to purchase. Please PM me to reserve one. I will order enough from the manufacturer to cover whoever PMs me. $15, including one ceramic screen. After my initial order from them you'll have to buy them on your own directly from the manufacturer. I'm sure they'll be a reasonable price but you'l have to have them shipped from China and you'll have to buy the ceramic screens on your own (~$15 incl shipping for a pack of five)

was about to order the cera EO, but the main site doesn't look that secure. has anyone ordered from the thermovape site before? I went to click the authorize.net merchant thing on the bottom of the site and it said it was unverified so i was hesitant to order.

Hopefully everything is good, so I can put my order in on the cera EO!

Edit: I just went ahead with it and ordered up a Cera EO! Can't wait to try this, and i've wanted to for awhile now. I want to see how it compares to my favorite oil vape atm, the persei. also interested in some attachments to try out as well. I'm excited now, and thanks again OF for your feedback. I will definitely let everyone know how well it works!

I seen in the FAQ for thermovape that you can't get add-on only when you initially buy your cera. I wanted to add somethings, like an extra battery. What's the best way to go about this, just contact TET? Sorry guys, I never dealt with TET before so don't know what their customer service is like yet. Very awesome that everything is american made as well (besides batteries) and that was also a selling point for me as well as i've heard this is one of the top vape contenders out there!

You're welcome for sure. I'm sure you'll love it, which is good because we know you don't keep secrets well.....if you're not happy you won't keep us in the dark...... we're going to have our hands full shutting you up.

Yes, just contact them, they can hopefully add it in time and save the postage. Best jump on it, though, the backlog is basically gone, it might ship later today?

I think you heard right, IMO for oils EO Cera is the machine to beat. I don't think anyone has suggested a better solution that doesn't involve a torch and glowing stuff?

Welcome to the fun, Brother Drum. The worm is about to turn for you.......

Mae West once famously said "you pays your money, and makes your choice". She had it backwards.

While the announcement of the mini Cera might be any time now, adapters I think are realistically months away. Lots of good vaping available between then and now?

Or would that be 'now and then'?

Anyone happen to know what the max temp of the exterior of the core would be? Maybe a better question would be, would it get hotter than 370F on the outside during normal use?

I potentially have access to some high-temperature thermoplastics used for 3D printing purposes but I wasn't sure this was actually suitable for holding a Cera core.
