Maybe. I just think the smoking experience is different between devices so that's why maybe it has different effect on me
I do find it's good to have a couple different vapes as varying between intake methods tends to change-up my tolerance for some strange reason (almost like strain variation ...)

Does anyone feel that the cloud can be compared to log vapes such as the E-nano? As far as efficiency and being satisfying? Im thinking of selling my Cano for 400 to pops and I'd like to get a log vape and portable, but I feel like I may just go with the cloud since I have some nice glass and a MFLB that I could just get a new quality batteries for

Maybe this will help - I sold my Underdog to help make money to support my cloud purchase, although I enjoyed the UD I would NOT got back and change my decision.

All for you Stick. Have such a hard time making the decision since I saw the cano being hooked up to a bong while pumping air. Was sweet but the cloud just seems like it would be so much more enjoyable. And now with the 2 year warranty, and the ability to add another year anytime before the 2 years is up is awesome. Does anyone know if that coupon still works where you can get just the unit for a little under 400*?

I just bought my Cloud Hydracirc 2.0 trough vaporizers.ca, I saved on shipping and duty fees.
They have the Hydracirc, Hydratree and regular package. They will be stocking spare ELBs and glass also in the future.
Good news for Canadians.
I was not sure putting that much on a vaporizers but the recent announcement on the warranty and avoiding duty convinced me.
It should get here monday or tuesday, I hope it was worth it or the wife is going to be pissed :)

Bro - my wife loves the fucking cloud - somethimes I think she loves it more than she loves me! There's been many days at the office where I said to myself - "I know what she's doing right now - she's with the cloud!" In fact I am pretty sure she even gave it a nickname....

All jokes aside - the cloud has turned my wife away from the darkside and brought her over to vapor

Wow, quite a bit of action since the last time I posted and a lot of questions. I'll do my best to answer but if I miss any, just let me know.

1. You can upgrade to the extended warranty as long as your current Cloud is in warranty.

2. Turnaround time will be 2-3 weeks.

3. If your Cloud is still in warranty and if something goes wrong with it (outside of the glass) you do not need the extended warranty to get your Cloud fixed.

Let me know if I missed anything.
:myday:
Congrats! Sorry I missed you but Cali dreamin' again.

How long does the return process take for broken units? Without my cloud it is painful to even look at my recent harvest of girl scout cookies and cadillac purple :|

i believe turnaround time is referring to how low it will take to replace a unit, so 2-3 weeks

That does make sense. Gotta keep myself guessing by mixing devices up!

So cloud nation, who has the cloud plus? In your opinion, does it get hot enough for you? Lets compare and contrast what people think about the new model. I love the new heat up time and the warranty extension was essential but is she still capable to fogging up most tubes...

Stonemonkey I guess this question is for you, is the reason why it's cooler on the hands is because it doesn't get as hot as previous models?

I plan for this to be my next vaporizer and I desire dense tasty vapor clouds on ease. Owner of an SSV and solo, love both but dislike that I have to hit them at a certain pace with water pieces to get the results I prefer.

Unless I am mistaken, their is no "new model", this was just an official announcement on improvements gradually made since release. The "Cloud Plus" is just an extended warranty option.

Many members here who have had their units retrofitted have said that it has not made a major difference in performance, only the improvements listed. Keep in mind this isn't official and doesn't explain everything in detail but, OBG said:
The most significant retrofit that I'm aware of are both the firmware and the firmware device. There were reliability issues associated with the device, and there is a new pulse modulation algorithm for heat regulation which enables the faster heat-up and if I'm not mistaken is a factor in less heat being thrown off (the heater and jacket were changed some time ago, don't know to what extent these contribute).
and
New board in the Plus; any more info on that? I was only aware of the new firmware device.
He is a smart guy with the ability to get some good info.

Please correct me if anything I said is incorrect.

I understand it is not a new model, but it has updated features and such. Oldiebutgoodie information is very in depth but seems like a theory. I prefer real life experiences and a variety of opinions. Does the updated firmware designed so it doesn't get as hot as before?

There seems to be very positive thoughts on the update and also some negative. Lets get more input so we can see which is the minority; I understand no matter what changes are done to any product, you can't please everyone but what is the general consensus.

Not theory; data from the horse's mouth. The firmware, the glass heat chamber, and the ELB design have arguably been the key breakthrough technologies in the Cloud. The firmware has been the most challenging to get nailed down, and it turned out that the device itself was a factor as well as the software.

The "not as hot" can refer to heat to the chamber or heat leeching to the casing, or both. I don't have any data on the chamber heat range being throttled back. But the new pulse modulation does deliver power more efficiently; it was my understanding that this contributed to less heat being thrown off as well as improving regulation.

I also value a variety of opinions and experiences. I'm just cautious however about anecdotes that are extrapolated into a technical explanation w/o supporting data. We have no way of knowing the extent to which, if any, anecdotes posted here about the Plus enhancements are representative. At this point, it's no more than a straw poll. A pattern could emerge, but it is too early for that. From just the reliability improvement standpoint though, the extended warranty is much more meaningful.

also the fact that they are releasing the int. version as well which was halted to to voltage fluctuations causing failure, ooh that reminds me. will the updated version have warranty nullification if used w/ a power inverter in a vehicle? (not for use while driving)

I was so excited to receive my first brand new cloud one week ago, feb 16 2013. Go to use it last night and it stays red and does not heat anymore. I have been reading all week about these people's issues with their cloud and some type of voltage fluctuation thats causing them to burn out. Now I am one of those people. It seems that I received the cloud plus because the heat time was under 7 minutes . I cant help but to think that regardless of the unit I receive it will burn out again and again and again. I live in a brand new minto house in Florida that was built a year and a half ago with new wiring so it cant be old faulty electrical work on my end, I have many electronics running constantly with no issues. I have been a vaporizer user since 2009 using the silver surfer vaporizer for most of the time. I recently adopted the light saber vaporizer from the 7th floor also and i loved it. very durable and it got the job done, just was not the cloud in terms of thick consistent vapor always.

I am devastated that my cloud broke. Great product but to pay $450 for a very unreliable product is madness. so I hope it was more bad luck then anything. But it seems way higher then just 2% of cloud owners having issues with their product.
This is my 2nd post, the first post was me saying how great this product is after two days. So this post is unfortunately the complete opposite. Im back to my lsv now :/
Not so sure the cloud can be better then the lsv if it doesnt work

I filled out a support ticket but what exactly do I have to do now? just mail it in or wait for them to reply to me?

This is an assumption but I'm sure it will.

Oldiebutgoodie, very well composed and when you say it delivers heat more efficiently, does that mean the max temperature hasn't changed? Does your cloud have the new features? Truth be told, this is my main and only concern. I want another level of vapor delivery superior to my SSV with water filtration and the cloud and the minivap are on my radar. I'd also imagine when people consider the cloud, this what they are looking for too. Thanks for making things as clear as possible
