But them's the breaks.

I guess I'm just hoping with enough feedback they might consider listening to the consumers and giving them what's in the video being displayed as the product. The only reason I want it, is because that is the only video I have seen of the CERA working and the never mention it as an addition, so it is a bit unfair to charge more. maybe in the future they will have it as an option when you buy it. The only way that might happen is to speak up!

Again, definitely not trying to bash this product at all. The only reason I care so much is because I really, really want one and they truely look like the best(and only true) vape for smoking oil. that cloud he get's in the EO video is BEAUTIFUL......

I don't usually tip on money, but right now it would be awesome to be RICH! haha

Thanks for the rad video!

Love the Stones Tweek ... seems like there's a huge lack of music exactly like this these days ... when I listen to the Stones everyone in the band is doing something interesting and together it makes a whole that's awesome ... just like the Grateful Dead, The Band, ..., I could go on.

These days all music seems so manufactured and corporatized and lacking the depth of expression and connection that music is supposed to be all about ... actually ... I should correct myself and say all mainstream music that's getting any airplay and marketing behind it ...

Anyways ... WAY off topic (sorry pakalolo ... couldn't help myself )

Sucks to be you anyways Tweek ... I'm starting to get concerned I'm not going to have my Cera in time for Jamaica either and am going to have to resort to combusting (yuck!) ... oh well ... have to medicate somehow and I doubt I'll run in to anyone to loan me a vaporizer that lives up to my standards in Jamaica :)

Don't worry, you won't be in any case, that's not how Cera works.

It's not a nail.

did you watch the video? I'm probably wrong again but it sure looks to me like on the EO cart it is metal that is heated along with ceramic like a ceramic circle around a metal plate whereas on the LL its just the ceramic. . .

Anyone notice that the video became set to private today? I guess the latch will be only an upgrade as now they removed the video completely that shows it being used. good move, that way people wont be disappointed when it's not on it. but that video was rad to show people how good the CERA works, I wish they didn't remove it.

*EDIT* I guess the private video is still on the EO page, you just cant watch it. http://thermovape.com/essential-oil/

Also, still wondering about the CERA reviews on the page, they seem fishy seeing as how hardly any people have them yet and the reviews are up to a year old. . .

Only the outside of the cartridge is metal (Ti or SS). The internals, where the good stuff lives, is 100% ceramic.

I fully support TV and everything they are doing, however I do feel it is asinine for them to now change their stance on the latching switch. Look, we understand that there is a problem sourcing the latching switch, and that it might take a while to get them in the users hands. But the latching switch and toggle on/off safety are/were the two biggest selling points/upgrades from the First gen TET products (besides newer batteries maybe).

Now our job is definitely not to tell TET what to do, but they kind of put the ball in our court here. We our the consumer and the reason TET is on this forum is to hear our opinions, as Tim stated earlier in this thread, our suggestions directly influenced the changes made from the T1 generation to the Cera generation. I think I speak on behalf of most when I say that we all really want the latching switch . Now if this means that the user has to send the original switch back to receive the new switch that will be the price to pay. But I think it's silly to act like the non latching switch is no longer needed when it is clearly the superior option. Everyone who watches the youtube video's that TET has produced or looks simply goes on the website is expecting to get the switch/toggle feature at some point in the future I can guarantee.

Look if the latching switch is really not needed I would expect that TET will be taking down the videos they currently have of the Cera on youtube and replacing them with non latching switch/toggle ones.

Cheers. We believe in you TET

Totally agree.

I purchased my cera yesterday after watching that video and a few others, now I realise that is probably not the same cera I will be receiving, I feel like I have just been conned.

How have you been conned? The info has been out for a while now that they are not offering the latching switch any longer. You can always cancel as well. I don't recall con-men offering refunds.

Edit: Sorry, I should have worded more carefully. It is only going to be offered as an upgrade once they source a supplier and no longer part of the main package.

Was that info on the company webpage where I made the purchase ?

I went to the homepage, clicked on the LL 'Buy Now' and it took me to this page http://thermovape.force.com/IdaProductDetail?id=01t50000001qeG0AAI

No mention of it on there, or anywhere else after during the transaction.

What can I say? Do your research more thoroughly before purchasing an expensive item? If you would have dug a bit you would have seen it is a momentary switch. I still don't see how they misled you and you can always ask for a refund. Calling it a con is out of line IMO.

Yes, I actually did watch the video. In fact I have that very unit in the video right here. Well, not right here, the core's in a pan boiling in the kitchen. I understand how it works I think.

Nobody is "vaping off steel". Not here. The metal (which ever it is) does get warm, even hot, but nothing like a nail. Way below where you're going to 'taste' the metal for sure. We're talking stovetop hot and less here not incandescent hot. For practical purposes SS is inert.

It's nothing like a nail.

As to your concerns about 'fishy information' on the page, most if not all of that is from the prior versions of the product lines (there were two), that technology is incorporated into Cera. Nothing sinister.

As to why they might want to take a video down that nay sayers have been using to attack them you may have a good point.

if you look at the diagram of the cera it no longer says "latching switch", it just says "switch" now. Not sure when TET made that change. I would guess in the last week or so. Probably at the same time they change the order buttons from "buy now" to "back order".

All the info you needed is in the cera features page: (it clearly addresses both the momentary and latching switches)
http://thermovape.com/feature

the people who ordered after the preorder but before the TET site changes are a different story. They may have reasons to be upset.

I really think this is an unfair statement. People say "if you don't like it ask for a refund".... Obviously the person liked the device enough to spend a nice chunk of change on it.... TET has no more obligation to provide any preorders with the latching switch than they do for anybody up until they changed the fine print on the website. And even then they still have their youtube video's up on the account that show a device with a latching switch.

Myself, I am a very patient man and have faith in TET. If they can send out the latching switches for free that's great. If they can't and have to sell them to any non "preorders" I am fine purchasing from them(and supporting so many American companies).

I just really think that TET should make it clear to the people who are purchasing their items that it is not the same shown in the Youtube videos. I guess this is close to home because before I found this forum I used youtube videos to decide which vapes I would buy. If I watched a youtube video of a vape from a company I would expect to receive the product in the video and probably would not even think of the possibility that something as seemingly simple as a switch could change.

Life isn't fair.

I still don't see the problem. Sorry.

Edit: My main point always has been, that it is not right to accuse the company of a con. Nobody was conned. At worst, they may be guilty of needing to improve their marketing/website.

Edit #2: Ok, I promise this is the last I will say. Do not ever buy anything from watching videos exclusively. When you are putting down hard earned cash on a product, do your research thoroughly. Anyways, that is finally it from me. I will gladly debate in PM. Don't wish to derail this any further.

BLAZING OG

Vaping is a way of life!
V1 already has a latching switch. They are just having issues with sourcing, and it has become optional. I can't see why it would become standard down the road, when they've already mentioned possible yearly price increases due to the cost of materials rising.
Right! but not shipping at the moment due to sourcing issues, but v2 can possible already have this issue resolved, so shiiped standard with latching switch, and not a momentary one stock/standard!

I could care less for a latching switch, since with the EO cart i only need it on momentary anyways, but people need that latching switch for the LL period!!!

Dont Worry all you early preorderer's,( I think i just made up a word) you will be getting your latching switch eventually!!!

I hope for the non pre order's u can choose either or , and not have to purchase momentary switch cera and then add as an add on the latching switch !!!!!:peace:

****EDIT**** Mods not sure how this happened, i hit edit on the post above, weird, sorry!!!! Please merge if possible!! Both post say message count 262!!

mod note: Thank you for noticing, posts merged. The message count on any post is your latest message count so they're all the same.

You have misread my post, I said it "felt" like I had been conned, a bit different to directly accusing them of conning me.

I could care less for a latching switch, since with the EO cart i only need it on momentary anyways, but people need that latching switch for the LL period!!!

Surely it would make sense and good customer relations if they just fit the latch switch to all the LL models, and leave the EO model with the momentary ?

mod note: Please avoid back-to-back posts, use Edit instead. Two posts merged.

I'm so bored of people whining about what switch might or might not be supplied with Cera, or what the videos show or what the Web site used to say. I just skipped over pretty much the whole last page.

Seriously do your homework before you hand over ur cash don't whinge about what you thought u were getting. KNOW what u are paying for.

Sorry not aimed at anyone in particular just had to get that rant off my chest.

On another note I have several pictures of a wild Cera, literally clawing their way out of the memory card, I promise I will pull my finger out and get them up tomorrow.

Agreed. It is what it is, nobody is being dishonest here. If you don't like the deal offered, don't do it....that's how Capitalism is supposed to work. All that Supply and Demand stuff. Informed decisions.

As long as the Rant Lamp is lit, let me also suggest that those who wish to lecture on what switches should or should not happen (for instance) should either exercise a little faith or check out the history of the matter before getting too carried away?

"Teaching granny to suck eggs" comes to mind.......
