Arizer Solo

Just got myself a Solo Model M1A3, my DV had a problem in the charging dock and i had to send it back. Plus, i think i got one of the DVs that had a not so good smell and so, after using my Wychwood exclusively while waiting for the new DV charger to come to realize i had to send the unit again, i realized the flavour was not even close compared to the Wychwood, and with the new small portables coming out like the INH XP or the PAX, i thought i would be better served with a Solo.

Plus, my habits have changed and i don't vape as much outside as i used to.

So, onto the Solo, and first impressions.

Solid unit, great feeling and confortable to hold. The stems didn't fit, as expected, so i charged it to 100% and did a dry run, to release the vapours from glue and i was able to put the stem in.

I thought the airflow would be worse, to be honest, although i can tell the difference between the Solo and all my other vaporizers, i don't find it a big deal.

The taste was very clean, and it is equivalent to what i experienced in my Wychwood and my Gn0mes, better than my Buddha, my LB and my Genie as well as the DV.
I liked that it lingered and only the last few hits at 7, tasted bitter.

The ABV came out quite pretty, with a brown honey colour, and very even.

I am still gonna try this ABV in my Wychwood to see which is more efficient, okay, just tried it and nothing came out so i am going to assume, for now, they have about the same efficiency.
And rest assured, the Wychwood is VERY efficient.

I still have to try the Solo with water but for now, i am very pleased with this vaporizer.

I can see myself enjoying it thoroughly, on my before bed session like Tsat or Sticks, out by the sea or in a friends house and chillin at my place. The Wychwood needs to be plugged in all the time, and that is unpratical. The Solo will do me good. ;)

Thanks Arizer for this excelent vaporizer, thanks you guys for the videos, tips and comments because they are how i came to make this decision of getting a Solo.

Peace! :D

Ok so as I read I see two new code/models or whatever they want to call it. Is it just new runs or are there improvements. I see that vorrange has the M1A3 and believe I read there is a M1D. I can't find the real solo site although I bet the answers aren't there either. Vape sites don't even mention the numbers.

to use a technology analogy, I liken the Solo to an iPad, Da Buddha and Extreme Q to a desktop computer and the MFLB to an iPhone. They're all different, but they all have their place.

I think the mflb and the pax is an itouch, the iphone is an inhalater or a dv. :D

If the Ipad is like the Solo, I might have to get an Ipad. :)

About the Solo acessories, any of you guys has the stealth adapter? IMO, it could be a little harsh on the throat being so small.

I am thinking i will start saving to get a PVHES straight and problably a 14mm gong adapter, when PV has stock again. Or instead of the gong adapter i just get one of Eds stems.

i have the stealth adapter and i love it!! i actually get better airflow with the stealth adapter and a drinking straw (i only use the stealth adapter in my McDonalds cup mod) than i do with the stock stems.... my opinion only

Hey Dreamerr I have an M1D unit. After the M107 there have been no changes to the units regardless of serial number. The M107 had, I believe a better battery gauge system. Before hat the only big change as stainless replacing ceramic in the heat chamber. Each re inion has its proponents but I think it's mostly OCD. All I know is I'm happy with mine whatever number it has on it. BTW, and just fir you Dreamerr, it works great with a water piece and one or Planetvape.ca's adapters. Say water piece please.

I may have to come go visit you so I can get all the extra pieces at planetvape when I get mine. I will get it soon...oh you said say water..."WATER"

Thanks Jam so it is all ocd as OV said. Which begs the question why you have two of the models that are supposedly the same.

This is wacked - i started cleaning my stems in 99% iso. the iso was getting golden. normally i'd dump it but i decided to try soaking gauze in it. i used a hair dryer to evap all the iso. i stuffed as much gauze as i could into a stem bowl and tried vaping it. wow! it worked. and tons of vapour - i mean it was like 3 bowls worth of vape from one bowl of Stem Juice(tm) soaked gauze. and it got me hi. not crazy hi. but enough. more of a heavy feeling than with flowers. fun.

Haha, 2 solo's through the Y adapter is fun :brow:

One of the best parts about it (IMO) is that you get double the flow of a regular solo (I use the Planetvape Gong Stems), so with 2 PVHESs it must've been nice :D

I have 2 as well, nice to know if one dies, I'll have back up. Don't have the Y adapter yet... once I get the PVHES GONG stems I might add the Y just for kicks...

Just be careful, I think the 18mm Y adapter has a bit more clearance between the 2 female joints. I had to MacGuyver my setup a little with the 14mm Y adapter because the edges of the cap would press together. I could sorta wedge my solos in there together, but I didn't like the stress it would be putting on the whole setup.

This was my first MacGuyvering Solution, a Black Leaf Barrel A/C, giving me a bit more height (and therefore clearance) on one of the solos:

It was a pretty tall setup though, and it always felt a little uncomfortable when moving it around.

Then, I realised an easier way to get things going:

Just take a cap off

I don't see it either
the thing I don't like about using a bent stem is that you need to hold the solo.
I partially broke a stem once when I wasn't thinking about it, let go of the solo, and it swung from sitting to the right of the joint, to facing directly away from me.
This twisting & pressure inside the joint cracked all the edge of my stem, I had to cut it down to make it safe to use again.

I will tell you in the DV thread or the INH your choice.

Anyhow please let me know if I need that case so I can call puffitup and order. Also do I want the straight or bent stem or one of each? I don't even know if they sell the bent. Do I need the pass through power adapter or car adapter. I am thinking it is kind of a waste since I am always in bed and have my INH and others but wanted to ask?
