Jealous you made it out there. I'm from NY too. Would have loved to try the HydraLine, I'm trying to decide what should be my X-Mas purchase, HydraLine, Devastator, or Swagger Double...

Did you get a chance to try any of the other tubes? I would have brought my own stash and been like let me try all the tubes, LOL ;-). Of course, I'd probably ask for a cot to sleep on after I finished though. LOL

I tried out every hydratube they had yesterday and I gotta say I was surprised but my favorite was the showercap. It had the best flavor, zero drag, and packed a bigger hit than my Vertigo hydratree. The devastator has too much diffusion IMO. It took almost all the flavor out of the hits and I'm pretty sure some THC too seeing as how one rip off the showercap got me more medicated than one rip off the Devastator. The hydraline was nice too, but it's easy to eat water and felt the most fragile to me.

I've been saving to buy a new piece and narrowed it down to the Devastator or a stereo matrix and after yesterday I plan to lurk ALT.

EDIT: I should add that when I tried the Devastator it was with a hydratube instead of the standard mouthpiece so that added some extra unnecessary diffusion.

After revealing Swagger HTs on MedCanCup12 they've been added to the store, i wonder if this happens to the Devastator too.

I have tried 1,2 and 3 levels of water percolation with and without cooling ice but not with a cloud, with a solo and an herbal aire. one is great, two can be good if you want really moist vapour but a little less taste and potency. three was too much. ice further cooled the vapour and gave a nice feeling, no apparent loss of taste or potency. this is why i decided on the Swagger Double - I figure there should be a way to use 1 of the percolators on it, or two depending on what I feel like. but once i get the cloud we'll see - my experiences so far have been with the other vapourizes i mentioned and simple labware based percolation set ups. i'm looking forward to the cloud, if only i'd get some kind of status on my order...

That was also the report from Slightly Medicated, after the Seattle Cannabis Cup. At the other end, the Swagger Double provides the most filtration and the least taste.

I agree wholeheartedly with this. The more I use my ShowerCap the more I love it. About 4.5-5 ml of fluid is all it requires to function. Its perfect for sampling new strains for flavor or just getting that awesome first rip off an ELB. If there is anything left I will usually finish off with the DG or ShowerDome.

I am very interested in a showercap. Wish they had that choice when I bought it, but I am pleased with my HC too.

I am on the plane back form the event. I will have to post more later when I am not typing using my iPad. I got some kick ass video for everyone. Including a video of each type of hydra tube currently available... it should be primo stuff. It was great to meet all the forum members. We only had one breakage... I broke a cloud. The event was a great success though. I think they got some great exposure.

With the ShowerCap, ShowerDome, and DG I have 3 levels of diffusion to choose from. Kind of like gears in a sports car (I know its a poor analogy) but its nice to have choices :)

Does the ShowerDome get much use anymore now that you have the ShowerCap? Yesterday I stopped by the VapeXhale booth a few times and found that after giving each one a try I only found myself going back to use the ShowerCap. I feel like that's how it'd be if I owned multiple HTs.

Oh and actually I hit the Devastator a second time when I stopped by the booth toward the end of the night hoping that I'd like it better than my first try, but unfortunately still wasn't too pleased and finished off my bowl with the ShowerCap.

I still use both, but tend to go to the ShowerCap first, see how the hit goes and what is left, then decide how to finish it. Its definitely seeing a lot of use, but I like more diffusion for the "less tasty" part of the extraction process on larger bowls.

Edit: If I had to pick one HT, it would be the ShowerCap, but I would still want a tube (fritted disc or similar) to pair it off against.

That's pretty clever. Eliminate the poor taste at the end of the bowl. I like it. Now you're making me reconsider buying a second HT.

VAPOLITICS!
Showercap SYN DI + Cloud is definitely my glass combo choice for herbal vaping/bonging so I'm sure the VXL showercap must provide similar feelings!
BTW Who is blowing those showercaps in the swaggers?

One thing I forgot to mention is that with such a short fill on the ShowerCap you're going to want to change your vaping fluid often to keep the nice flavor coming. To achieve this an oral syringe can be mighty handy, $2.39 @ Wallgreens and it came with a bottle adapter and cleaning brush :)

Im anxious to see some videos of how the showercap works, because I think thats what I am going to purchase next (or maybe a Mobius).

The flight is going well.

Check it out... mile high FC!I I had a vaporizer to use it would be a very comfortable flight. Sitting in these airplane chairs do a number on my back.

Can't wait for the video. Just curious, how did it break? Hope all is well!

It was on the devastator with a swagger double on top. The whole unit was sitting directly between two tables pushed together... I did not know that. I was taking to someone about the price of buying a double swagger kit and the devastator. I went to remove the swagger double from the devastator and because it was sitting between the two tables it tipped over in to me. I kind of caught the whole thing in the nape of my neck. The angle was just enough when it hit my neck that it broke the bamboo at the ground joint on top. Luckily everything else was fine.

So all the talk of Clouds and surge protectors in this thread I reminded of an awesome product that I was introduced to when I was working for Research In Motion.

We kept having to set up miniature test networks all over the place and so we were constantly plugging these thousand dollar wireless access points into unfamiliar outlets, which is the same sort of running-with-scissors thrill one gets from using their cloud on one. Because we had literally tens of thousands of dollars of wireless gear at risk we basically just stuck these on the end of each power cable and that way we never needed to worry about packing a bulky power bar with it. Their tiny enough to not get in the way or add significant bulk, but it has quite a good protection threshold and TRIPP-LITE is a well respected company in power protection and offer a great warranty.

Thanks for the wakeup call, my cloud is on right now and not surge protected :goat:

Wait...the viVape beat the cloud?!?! ...where was it tested and voted on?
Personally I think the Cloud is the Maybach of vaporizers, pure luxury.

Yeah I'm quite surprised that the viVape won. I really feel the Cloud is hands down the best vaporizer on the market. Not sure who was voting but if they used them side by side I'm sure the Cloud would win :-)

I totally agree! I prefer the Cloud over any other At-Home vaporizer to date (including the volcano). I totally dislike the 'whip' style, but to each their own.

My Cloud is actually out for warranty repair, hopefully I'll get it back sometime this week *fingers crossed*. However, in the mean time I'm using my Extreme Q, and while I like the ease of the tubing, the quality of the vapor and delivery from the Cloud is the best. I'd be quite surprised if the viVape delivered the same dense hits that the Cloud does. Maybe I'm naive but it seems to me as of right now that nothing can beat the Cloud.
