Lucky you, mine shipped last Friday by USPS (didn't wanna pay insane UPS brokerage) and there's a chance I might get it this week otherwise early next week, I'm in Canada.

When did yours ship, what shipping method did you use, and where are you?

I would have liked black but it was like $20 extra which I didn't think was worth it just for it to be a different color.

This LSV is one of the deliveries I've been the most anxious to receive.

I bought it only with a shorty wand and extra wand screens as accessories, I already regret not buying a spare heater cover for when I break it.

What accessories would you recommend getting for it? I wanted to know if the saturn vapor tamer is worth it? At first I wanted the whip attachment but then realized it might be awkward to use with a whip since it's not a tabletop model. I just now noticed the whip attachment includes the fatty adapter, already that makes it a better deal but does the fatty adapter work well? I'm a bit skeptical of it. Would the whip kit be good for when using it among 2-3 people or is the wand still the best for multiple users? And what about water pieces? I have an old bong, is there any reason I should bet something better to use with the LSV?

I have the Saturn Vapor Tamer and it works awesome, but I don't use it as often as the reg or shorty transfer wands(I have both). The wands are just easier and more convient, but the tamer is great for a sitdown after work session to CHILL you out... If you got the money get one it's great. As far as the Fatty chamber I have 1 but not used it yet. I get so much out of what I put in the wands tha I have not felt the need for more volume, and more stirring... No idea on whip kit but it should work nice, LSV is just a hand held SSV IMO. I think the glass would be just as easy to pass with normal glass etiquette. As far as the bong goes if the WPA fits in it then you don't need better unless you want better, but the LSV WPA works like a DREAM for bong rip lovers! I got the Blue one and think it is worth the $20... The heater covers were on sale, you should have got 1 or 2

According to the tracking info, the shipping label was printed on the 3rd, and it got here on the 11th.
The method is listed as priority mail international parcels.
I'm in Australia.

I have yet to break a LSV heater cover, even with it falling off a coffee table a few times onto a hardwood floor, so I cant see the HC breaking without a fairly significant drop.

The Vapor tamers are pretty cool, they do exactly what they say, turbo-cool the vapor, but I still mostly prefer vaping through water, so my main suggestion would be to have a WPA (I have 2 14mm and 1 18mm) I've found that due to the glass restriction under the screen, both the 14mm and 18mm have fairly similar airflow, so if you were only getting one, I'd recommend the 14mm, since it's a bit more practical using a reducing adapter than an expander.

I like the new cord support, it looks like it should stop a lot of the play in the cord, I'll have to take some side-by-side pics of my 2 soon

I would like to mention I had an lsv with the standard silver knob for many months and recently switched to a glass knob. I remember most folks on here not really having a high opinion of the glass knobs...
But I am really liking it! It's bigger and makes temp adjustments easier and "feel" nicer. It is definitely easier to tell where the knob is facing in low light conditions and easy to adjust with your thumb. Plus... it looks cool!

For the overall aesthetics of the LSV, I kinda prefer the metal knob, but my black one just came with a cool looking black glass knob, and I'm gonna keep using that

The glass knobs seem easier to turn to me, I'm not sure if it's the extra mass of the knob, or the fact that it's wider, so gives better leverage, but I sorta prefer the metal knobs "tightness" over the loose turn of a glass one. Different strokes for different folks.

I'm thinking about doing a bit of a mod to my silver one, but I'm not sure if there's enough room inside the unit, I'll drop some more deets after some testing

Can anyone recommend a manual herb grinder that results in a grind that works well in the LSV? I have a regular 4 piece grinder but it tends to grind quite coarse.

Ok, so I opened up my silver one, and I had a look at the room in there, there's basically no clearance between the end of the cap, and the LED indicator.

What I'm thinking of trying to do, is add a female plug for a power cord (I think the cord is called a kettle cord?)...

There clearly isn't enough room, So I've spoken to someone I know, and I might be able to get a replacement endcap machined with enough room for the plug


[While looking for a picture of the cord I need I stumbled upon this wiki page - I'm gonna use one of these, I was originally planning on using the C13/C14 plug setup, but now I'm thinking C15/C16 would be better?
How hot do you guys think the pins of the plug would get?
The C13/14 is ok up to 70C, and the C15/16 is good up to 120C.
I'd rather go with the C13/14, since I have heaps of those cables floating around, but the C15/16 is probably the better choice...]

I use what I'd call a medium to fine grind, I use either my 2 piece space case Titanium, or my 2 piece Storz and Bickel acrylic grinder.
I cant rate the S&B one highly enough, it grinds really well, but it's durability is a bit lacking due to it's being acrylic...
Check out the Herb Grinders thread, it's got heaps of good info on grinders in there, and there's a newer one that looks good called the Santa Cruz Shredder

Thanks, I had a plastic grinder once and on the very first use every teeth snapped off while my herb remained intact, so never again am I getting a non metal grinder, and am amazed a company like S&B would sell a plastic grinder. I'll go check the grinder's thread.

Actually I used to have the same exact opinions; about the looks and the resistance of turning being better with the metal knob. Now I've changed my mind on both counts. Give the new knob a few more days to do it's thing... it will grow on you.

I have a 2 piece space case. I grind mine real fine... then I suck up some thicker material and then some kief. My abv is a very consistent brown. It says in the instructions that fine is what you want, sometimes I pull a little keif when I first load a wand, but its not a biggie.

Has anyone used the Creamic Flavor Disc from 7th Floor for vaping BHO? Can it be done that way? I was wondering if they are the same thing as the Healthstone Glass Vapor Stones. I think that since the Ceramic Flavor Discs are safe for the vape that I could vape BHO of of it. Is anyone familiar with any of this? Check it out...

I've used the healthstone before, but not in my LSV. I do believe that they are the same material. To tell you the truth though I just mix any type of concentrate with some ground bud, load it in my WPA or transfer stem and the LSV handles it fine. In fact I think I remember a video here in the thread of someone teasing us by loading several concentrates into an LSV WPA. Me I'd just save the $.

The coil does not get that much use... But it is a nice way to start a good session when sitting down to watch a movie or something. It's kinda heavy, but it is frigging COLD too, so it doeas exactly what it says it does, just like the LSV!

What do you think of trying a custom color LED for the power light? I am referring to your post because I see that you have some electrical skills... From what you have seen opening it could it be done?

I had thought about that, it looks like it's be easy enough to remove the LED mount, but I like how the orange LED matches the orange glow of the element.

A Blue LED could look cool on my black one, but I don't want to tinker with that one.
I'll have a look and see if there are any LEDs that'd make me want to give it a go.
