For this High efficiency T1 (6v) core is this the new standard? Can I get my old core rebuilt for $15 into this new one?

Does this produce less heat while holding the device? If we get 6 minutes of on time with the old core are we looking at 7, 8, 9, 10 minutes with the new one? I say 2-3 more hits with every minute of extra on time.

Ok everyone.... Here it is!!!!

What we have done is taken all the things we have learned from prototyping (like OF trying the multiple T1-LV cores) and things we have learned from you (removing the Evo insulator and use just a UFO mouthpiece) and put them together in packages to help you pickup some extra chargers and batteries.

Ill give you a little rundown on whats new, First the T1-LV core. Its a single core design and is VERY efficient
  • Low Voltage (Center Coil) T1
  • High efficiency T1 (6v) core.... yes, this is a triple core design!
  • New Evo-LV (center Coil)
  • New EVO-HP (built the same as a T1, 30 watts)

You can take a look at all our new "Mod Box" kits HERE
Cheers,
Tim

Aloha ThermoVape,

Great news about the new products. I'm so excited that I'm literally on the way to the airport to return to good 'ole CA to await/check out some of your new offerings!!! OK, truth be told-my flight was already scheduled (LOL). PLEASE - Don't sell them all while I'm in the air.

These are not the new standard, they are only offered in these "beta kits". To rebuild a standard T1 into a T1-High Efficiency would be an additional $10, so it would be $25 total.
The efficiency increase will help keep the device cool as well.

Very cool Tim.
So the new design is triple core for 6 volt and single core for 3.7 volt devices?
Also, stating 30 watt for the HP devices. Is that number for heat comparison of old model or is it in fact 30 watts?
Is the triple core what is termed T2?
And finially, any information on what the actual load or current draw is for the new units?
Too many questions....
Thanks Tim,

Pipes

The Triple core runs at about the same power as an existing 6v T1 core, just a little less at about 1.7ohms give or take.

The "HP" cores are not all 30 watts, the HP-LV Evo runs at a little less wattage than a standard Evo however, the new "HP-LV" core utilizes the new center coil design and inherits the more efficient heat transfer.

Now the Evo-HP on the other hand is running the same 30watts that the T1 core runs, its nearly identical actually.

The Triple core is not a "T2", just another design variant that we found works well. :)

As far as draw, the new center coils are at about 15watts, triple coil is at about 25watts.

No problem, ask away!

Cheers,
Tim

torn between two lovers  I am in the same spot... I have way more lifepo4 batteries than 17650's right now, and the 6v adapter, so it makes more sense to go for the triple, but I really am curious about that single core 3.7v... might have to sit back and think on it a bit. Might go for both with a little coupon code action :brow:

I tolt ya you better have your question answerin' fingers limbered up for this. Lots of good folks looking for a personal tweak on an already excellent system. How cool is that?

The fun bit is each is kind of it's own beast, you can make estimates of what the changes mean to you but since you're such an important part of how the system performs to start with such predictions are at best educated guesses. Part of the fun, IMO.

One other fun point, I like the idea that the 3 core "High Efficiency" is also 'high reliability' in that you can vape on the two remaining cores in the event of a breakdown in the field. Redundancy can be powerful in it's own right. That alone would push it to the top of my list if I was 'traveling light' I think.

So will you be able to get T1 kits in the future with the new cores already in them?

Edit: Also I'm a bit confused so both the LV and triple core provide better battery life and less of a possibility to combust?

What is it that sets the two apart?

Tim,

i do not currently own a T1. ive got the base, LV Evo and interface, standard Rev and interface, LV Rev, and LV Dart, but not T1 conversion kit... anyway, can i purchase T1 conversion kit and swap the standard 6V core for the new LV core instead? and instead of the Cr123s could you swap those for a 17670?

really nice to see these new offerings! amidst the anticipation of the 2nd Gen stuff its almost too much to think about.

Well, there aren't going to be any more T1's, This is basically the last of our inventory and after this it will only be our new platform. Dont worry though, we will continue to service every ones current devices. :)

I think the new cores might be your best bet for more battery life from the sounds of it

will the T2 generation main parts (heat cores etc) be compatible with the T1 generation??

Yes, that's my understanding. I asked and am pretty sure I heard a solid yes. For sure I'm planning on adding to, rather than replacing, my current gear. If it wasn't a big step forward, I'm sure it wouldn't be happening. Noah kept a list of all the issues brought up and addressed them all.....scientist approach you know, mixed in with the engineer?

are there any 25% off discounts going right now for TV?

I don't think so, I think the last ended the 8th? Maybe Tim can confirm (or hopefully correct) that?

Can anybody explain the Workbench T1 Conversion Beta Pack?
Will this turn my revolution 6v power supply into a herb vape?
Anybody have anything similar to this already?

It will but some noticeable differences.

The insulation for the core isn't there. Instead it screws in to an evolution piece so it is unprotected and you'll have to make sure your fingers don't touch it till it cools down. The other piece not included is the top cap and instead it uses the all glass mouth piece or a 14mm all glass adapter.

Yes, that's what it will do. It's aimed at LV Revolution owners (has batteries and charger you already have) you might ask them to back those parts out.

I don't think anyone has done this before, there is the issue of no place to screw the cap onto.....which has been solved with the new glass top! If you don't burn yourself (IMO probably hard to do) it should be an excellent upgrade, herb vape with glass vapor path.

And it has that Buck Rogers thing going for it too IMO.
