On another note, I just pulled the fucking trigger on my Onyx Pax. So stoked.

crap it looks like the button to change temps on mine is not working or too stiff to press.

yeah mine is really really stiff but does still work. thats my only real complaint too.

I am so glad I am delaying the review until today. I think it was the best choice. It gives me a little bit of an idea what to focus on for the review. I am going to mention the button issue. Can you elaborate more... is it hard to push because of the location? If you use your fingernail does it make it easier reach, but still harder to push? I use my fingernail, but I don't find it particularly tough to push down. I use my fingernail at an angle perpendicular to the button. That seems to give me the best results. How exactly are you pressing it down?

Well I was going to mention the button placement anyway. I feel like it is semi-inconvenient... although I have gotten used to it. I am wondering though how you like to press the button? Do you do it the same way?

Overall my impressions of this device are incredibly positive and any negative I have are only minor knit-picky things.

i actually like where they placed the button, its totally out of the way so no chance of an accidentally temp change and i'm already getting use to opening up the top and pressing the button now. if i were to nit-pick i would of preferred a 4th or 5th temp setting instead of just 3.

Actually I like the placement inside the mouthpiece... I would just move it more centered and not so much up against the wall. Like 1-2cm towards the center.... seriously knit-picky. Do you have a pattern for the temperature settings you are falling into? I was starting on middle/orange and working my way up to high/red. Now I just go straight to high/red. I like the vapor production that you get right off the bat on high/red.

Edit: Do have one big question, is it OK if I leave it on the charger when not in use? Don't want to risk hurting battery life.

I think I have FAT FINGERS lmao... <---- see the huge thumb... it is the size of my head!

I like where the button is on the device, I just wish it was a little more towards the center. If it was 1cm that would be enough.. like I said before it is a very minor observation and not even really a gripe. Does anyone else thing this would make it easier to push? If not, then I might be in the minority.

A correction to our earlier post: Currently PlanetVape can ship the PAX only to Canadian addresses. The PAX charger requires 110 - 120 volts so sales are limited to Canada and USA only, but a charger with a greater voltage spectrum will be available in the future.

In regards to the temperature button problem people are having, I just wanted to say that mine works fluidly.

I charged it, took it out of the stand and adjusted it to medium. Cycled through all temperatures a couple of times.

Can you still pack tightly with just a little herb? Would you say it requires more herb than a pipe/bong bowl? I was kind of hoping that this could be a quick fix on the go solution with as little amount as required by say a 1 hitter.

Hey SliM, I would like to go ahead and thank you for the videos first off, that is why I bought the pax. Second I figured out the button after playing with it a while longer. I have to push and hold slightly for a second, just tapping the button fast in and out was not changing it. I noticed it works fine if you push it in hold till color changes and let go. So my nit pick has been solved and is just getting used to its function. I like the placement as Boobs said inside so you can't accidentally change the heat while in use. I will get in a sess or two then write a bit more about function, but design is definitely an A+.

Not sure how helpful any comment from me will be though as my only vape experience has been the MFLB.

I have used mine about 5 times now and I am loving it! Having never vaped before I have nothing to compare it to, that being said, I love it way more than smoking. My only issue is getting the mouthpiece from off to on as I seem to always pop it off, but my session just now it came up fine, so I am either getting the hang of it or it is, for lack of a better term, loosening up a bit. I love my Pax, it was well, well, worth the price!
