So what? Even if I accept that percentage (which I don't) there are still lots left who don't give a shit about that, me included.

The Cloud is undoubtedly a great vapourizer. That in no way justifies calling it "the best, hands down"--unless you qualify that with "for me" or "in my opinion" or similar wording, which you did not. You don't know what the best vapourizer for me is. I would think someone who uses the screen name Tea Party would be among the first to understand this.

I'd be wrong, apparently.


Great post. I fully agree with this. I may get one someday but I don't expect it to take care of all vaping needs

IMHO, there is only one vape right now that can satisfy the widest spectrum of peoples vaping needs, like stealth, portability, big clouds, efficiency, party vaping, easy home sessions etc... It's a jack of all trades for sure and can't be better than the vapes specifically designed for each case, but it does the greatest all around job and is hassle free for most. Yeap, the Solo... If someone can afford only one vape and needs to be able to vape anywhere, in any way and with anyone, it's an one way street people. :2c: :peace:
Now, if Stone Monkey finds a way to remove that cord from the Cloud and miniature the size, then we could be talking about the Best Vaporizer Ever! :D

I love my solo, but I love it with EDs stems. Then its fantastic.
Idiot proof, "cloudy", easy to travel with if wiped down and you bring a throw away stem or enough iso, and draw isn't bad. Allows much freedom for technique experimentation.
I use my solo for water adaptation, and long trips. Extreme Q is the home go-to, as its versatility amazes me.
Love Arizer......and Eds stems. And GotVape (frickin nutty discounts)
Gotta have my mflb for stealth, and will one day get the CLOUD as I do believe it probably is a fantastic piece of equipment, albeit a pricey one.

Edit: I also believe, like most, it may go through " revision phases"

Totally disagree. Maybe your unit is defective. I see a tiny wisp of vapor IMMEDIATELY following a dose when the glass is removed. No more. I get 4 doses per ELB sometimes taking up to an hour to fully accomplish and I feel there is no difference compared to sitting there for 4 back to back to doses.

But then please insert a full of new weed ELB in the hot cloud at noon, or even at 10:30... leave there for 30 mn without inhaling, and then come back to take a hit... The first hit or 2 hits flavor, with the terpens & flavonoids is GONE, PERIOD! Proof that the herb has been percolating and there is waste going on.
Yes I agree, if you take your 2 first hits immediately extracting the flavors and already roosting a little the weed, then I see what you are saying with the wisp of vapor just after inhale and probably less waste as the active compounds have been partially extracted with the 2 previous hits and that the level of heat in the ELB at that moment will probably not extract much more from your cooking pot!

Some of the above "complaints" may be true. To me, the only complaint I have is that it tastes TOO good and I get get TOO stoned TOO fast.
I don't know how pappy get, what did I he say, 10 hits??? I get maybe 3-4 on a 1/4 to 1/2 ELB at about 11 on the dial.
All in all dramatically more effective than volcano, mflb or a purple days for me in every regard.

My experience....I got my Cloud today but I'm having a bit of an issue dialing it in.

Back Story: I'm used to using my Extreme Q with a 3/4 full elbow pack and the whip connected to a small HVY beaker. I like higher temp vaping and usually run the Q around 230. I get very thick clouds with this setup, usually so thick I can not see the stem in the beaker.

Now the Cloud arrives today with the SGW HydraTube. This tube has very little drag compared to the whip/beaker setup. It's super smooth and easy to pull from. I tried the Cloud with a 1/3 full ELB, about the same amount as a 3/4 elbow pack, and was a bit disappointed with the results. There was vapor but no where near as thick as with my Q setup. I tried turning the Cloud up to just before 3'oclock and was still less than thrilled.

Unfortunately I don't have a lot of material to test with atm so I went back to using my Q. I hope to be able to continue testing soon and I'm really hoping I can get comparative results with the Cloud.

I am very disappointed. I received my email last Saturday and I ordered my Cloud.
Since that time I have heard nothing. Needless to say, it has been a frustrating week.

I have called and emailed the Ray guy multiple times.
I have filled out a support ticket.

Still....nothing. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Also, after having a night to sleep on it I have to say I'm extremely disappointed that VapeXhale would make a firmware change without properly testing the firmware. This LED problem should not have made it past QA. It's apparent that testing was not done or this issue would have been detected.

If you have submitted your warranty registration please go ahead and submit a ticket, as long as you have one submitted it will show in our system, we process warranty registrations bi-weekly this has no effect on the customer as your registration is time stamped and logged by our CRM system, eventually our IT Lead plans to automate this process, when it is we will let everyone know.

Thank you, I will submit a ticket later this weekend. I'd like to get an opportunity to test some more but I'm currently waiting on a resupply. Honestly I'm not sure if the unit has issues, other than the LED tuning, or if my expectations were "too high".

Damn only 4 doses? I get 8 huge ass hits off my cloud and then I grind it up some more and get at least 2 more big bangers. Sounds to me like you might have yours set a little high(although it might be what works best for you). If I were you I would try it a little lower and then raise it up. I have since started using mine on a little past 9 o clock. Then I re-grind and turn it to just under 12.

Tea party my biggest glass piece is 12", and when my wife comes in to the house while my cloud is on and the TV too and asks as 1st question after the usual hello: "where does the click come from"...then I consider it's a burden!
The pix you are showing me the cloud+ hydratube is just a good example of a bad ergonomics IMO, sorry...with quality glass on top of a thin base vape...just calling for a fall, and too tall to fit easily in my hand on my sofa!
Last but not least I have only direct inject pices with straight male joints so any vapor bonging vape fits in parallel with my cans, much more compact then your mini bat (ROFL) & please weight an herborizer heater (like 1/6 of the cloud weight...) or the MW (1/3 probably) before stating the cloud is super light...it is not!

Now you have my opinion as you wanted and I will stick to it! Have a very nice & cloudy day man!
Sounds like you don't like the cloud and no one will change your opinion. I respect it. I have a friend who wants to buy it that will enjoy it way more than you. How much would you sell it for?

Slightly Medicated that is exactly what I want it for but for when I want to sit back, relax and watch a movie while puffing I wouldn't be able to use it. I don't just puff herb to get a quick high, I also puff to slowly enjoy the different flavors of the herb while preserving herb and still get mega high. Plus the glass and hard inhales which brings a strong rush may scare some of the conservative ladies I deal with while the Aromed I can at least talk her into not thinking she is dealing with a weedhead(even though I am just not the stereotype) by saying it's an electronic hookah and mix the cannabis with some peppermint or thyme and raise the temperature in increments to give her a creeper high and have a fun night she wasn't expecting. The same can be said when puffing with someone older who might not be able to take a fast, rushy type hit. Or when I want to puff with a friend but sit back and talk like when puffing a joint and that's when the magic flight with the power adapter comes into play by manipulating the dialer.

Again for what it does the cloud is the shit.
So from the sounds of it you don't like taking huge rippers out of a bong? So why are you here? You know the cloud is a waterpipe vape right? That gets the hugest of the hugest hits?

It was discussed earlier in this thread that putting a fresh ELB into the Cloud and leaving it there could result is simmering off low temp actives like terps. Of course it would, as true with other similar type loaded bowls in close proximity to the heat source (e.g., my Q's Cyclone bowl gets much hotter). But who saddles up and then just leaves it there for a half-hour? And not being able to do so is a "major" con? That confuses me.

I think it important to clarify that, aside from the above easily avoided potential evaporation, there is no percolation going on. When I took the infrared temp readings I posted earlier, the max temp inside the ELB at highest setting after 1 hour was <200F and the herb itself was ~150F. That is not hot enough to do gas conversion of the canniboids. I have seen no evidence of canniboid vapor leakage and again the temps don't support the notion of canniboid loss.

I would also just add that it muddies the picture to lump together naturally subjective criteria such as flavor and noise with intended design characteristics that serve a function. E.g., the very slight wobble in the Cloud/HT joint that for you is a "major" con, is intentional for protection of the glass and sacrifices absolutely nothing. And a new tight ELB - which loosens up overnight - is a "major" con???

IMO, you've made the right decision for you, i.e., you should stick with your SSV. Fortunately for me, I don't share any of your cons, and even if I did, the Cloud's smoothness and zero drag would still win me over. Isn't is great that there are lots of vape competitors, lots of choices? You say "tomato", I say "tomato". We're both happy.

Wow, that just might be a defective unit, the tick/click is not THAT loud.
It just sounds like this guy is looking for a reason to not like the cloud. From the sounds of that story his wife was just curious, as anyone should be that hears a noise that isn't common to your household. Now to jump to conclusions and automatically say its a nu sense is ridiculous. Its like not she said "holy hell what the fuck is that damn clicking!!"

I dont own a cloud but i do see where flkswat is coming from. Log vapes, the EQ, the ssv, and all the vapes i know of do not have an annoying click. It actually was brought up by other users when the cloud was first released. They also found it as a nuisance and posted videos of the clicking. IMO, the clicking was pretty noticeable and annoying.

Also, flkswat was just replying to tea parties questions. He stated he did not think the cloud is the best vape out there and i feel he probably does have a point. There is no best vape. He also said that he was very impressed by the unit so i dont think he will be selling it.


That said, i am still very anxious to get a cloud!

Obviously you don't know how a up and coming company has to work. They can't go through and test every unit thoroughly like that. They just go through and make sure it give little vape and low heat and lots of vapor at high heat. Then they have to move on. Otherwise the wait would have been even longer than it was.

Mojo, I take responsibilitiy for the latest algoriothm going out. I was testing it based on the relative vapor output for each setting and ignoring the light. I basically tested it at 7,8,9,10,11,12,1,2,3,4,5 positions to make sure that the vapor output correlated with the heat setting, which it did. I'm used to the lights flickering on and off and regrettably, did not pay as close attention as I should have been.

With that said, if you ignore the lights and let the unit heat up for 10 min initially at the lowest setting, you should get really good vapor. From there, as you dial up the heat, let the unit heat up for 1 min and it should reach the next temp setting. If your unit unit functions fine with this methodology, most likely you simply have a light issue.

When the new algorithm is ready, we will fix all the firmware and throw in some goodies for the inconvenience. Once again, I apologize for the less than stellar VXC experience but we will make sure your next experience is top notch.

I agree ... Everyone's got an opinion. I don't currently have a favorite in my lineup (they all have their uses) ... I have a feeling the cloud might become my favorite though! (although not only vape)

For instance right now I'm traveling with my Solo ... Don't think my Volcano or EQ would be very handy to fly with!

Luckily I can at least fly with my meds in country! (so far no issues with airport security although they did check over my documentation and the one guy gave me a pretty "suspicious" look!)

Yes obviously I have no idea how an up and coming company has to work. My expectations that thorough testing be done after updating firmware are way too high. That's bullshit! What's obvious to me is that you don't understand the basics of software development and testing.

I just packed not even half an ELB and had to stop after 7 huge bangers. Couldn't have been .2 probably something like .1 and it is still green after I was done. So still plenty left in it :) I have been loving my cloud. I actually have a buddy who wants one so bad he brings over an 8th of bud everytime he comes just to load and bang out in the cloud. Of course we usually only need a 1/4 of that lol but he leaves it and comes back with the same everytime lol. He just loves the cloud so much.
