Yes, have the full set of plates with both.

I loved the grind of the gr8tr, but it got gunked up fast and I got the acrylic sides and they didn't like iso, it was a pain.

My BCG has damn near the same grind, but the fine is just a bit shy imo. But it doesn't require any where near the cleaning. They're supposed to be working on a larger version, I'll be buying one when it comes out, I like it that much.

For now the BCG also only comes as a three piece, I always dug configuring the gr8tr lol.

Just checked out the Herb Ripper XL, it is only 2.5" FFS, XL should be 3" up, my XL Space Case is 3.5" had me excited for a minute, the site says 300 grade S/S, I have not heard of 300, 316 is the good marine stuff, 304 is as useful as gal paint so I do not know?

I hope the new maybe in the works large BCG is actually large.:tup:

That's amazing. I always found 2.2" to be just a touch on the small side with a sweet spot of 2.4-2.5" being ideal. But i'm picky AF, and have larger hands but like to grind smaller amounts. But I can see your point since it's "XL". Those large size space case and SCS's are massive!

So now my options are:

Kannastor Gr8tr (my default all time fave)
BCG
Herb Ripper XL

Is there anything else I should consider?

Never had that issue with any of the 4 piece grinders i've converted. I think that's more if you remove the screen? I just eliminate that piece altogether... sure you're pay a bit more and it's kind of a waste, but i've found it to be a great solution. With the Gr8tr/SCS/Space Case anyways. The problem is a small herb collection chamber, but a non-issue with the Gr8tr, which has the best rounded chamber i've seen yet.

well there might no longer be any zeus bolt grinders with a crank but they do have the zeus bolt xl on tvape’s site. the reviews seem to say that the xl version is way better than the original. that’s good cuz I’m not really happy with my bolt and I do find it a bit small for my liking. should I try to get one for black friday?

You're right the Bolt is not even 2.2", it's too small for my hands... the XL is like 2.75" which is on the money! Looks like it's out of stock though?

damn, is it? oh well, they’re always restocking anyways, they’ll probably have them back up for purchase by black friday I’m sure. some days I check to see if they have any arizer extreme qs left and most of the time they do, but sometimes they don’t, and whenever they don’t, I always check back within a day or two and everytime I’ve checked back, it’s always been restocked so far.

He certainly helped me to NOT buy the BCG! Since the SCS provides a better grind, and I think that the Gr8tr provides an even better grind than that, with 2 different plate sizes, and a much better thicker top piece for my larger hands. Also not impressed with the CS horror stories i've been reading about. Gr8tr v2 it is! (AGAIN!)

I am waiting for BF to purchase my next grinder. I really want a 3 piece and I think I have decided to get the Santa Cruz. It seems lots of people love SC and I have never owned one.

Thought about the Brilliant Cut also, but not sure if I could live with that post in the collection area. Maybe I will end up getting one at some point because I do like the idea of no threads.

So ... i went with the red 4 piece Lift as a birthday present to myself .... received it on Thursday and introduced it to the family ... everybody's happy :cool:
