Land of the long vapor cloud
I am a Dynavap newbie. My 2019 M is arriving soon from Sneaky Petes. This is a super active thread with lots of great advice. I am going to take my 1st run with a single flame touch, but am also considering a Caldron induction heater.

Just go ahead and order that Caldron, an IH only added to my DV experience.
Its nice to have different heating options.

DONE. Ordered the Caldron IH from Pipes

Check out my VapCap heater I created myself with an AroMed halogen bulb. The VapCap is over the bulb keeping accurate temp. Cleans the VapCap too.

That's a very cool build. Can you provide some details on the additional parts that you used to go along with the halogen bulb?

The vertigo cyclone triple is very versatile. You can orient the two flames closer to the top of the cap (near the clickers) for a lower temp click, or more towards the digger-outer end for a higher temp. George always recommends beginners use a quad until they get the hang of the vapcap, I never used a quad but found the cyclone triple easy to use and fast. It has a huge tank, and has never failed to light

Here's the chart for that again, if anyone wants/needs it.

My Blackwood Vortex with Intercooler arrived in today's mail. Man oh man. For me, Austyn has produced the perfect Dynavap after-market stem.

It's gorgeous, especially if you're into minimalism and clean lines, works better than the original, by a lot, and is ridiculously easy to maintain. Easier than the original.

It's the only way I'll use the vapcap natively ever again. It's fabulous with my J-Hooks when I choose, and it's at least 90% as good as my DDave Water Wands with my water pieces. You could easily make the case that a Simrell Collection Vortex is the only vapcap stem you'd ever need.

And I'll say it again. It's worth every penny.

This you could easily make the case that the only vapcap stem one ever needs is the one that comes with the vapcap. However I would appreciate it if @VapCap offered a larger selection of stems.

The vortex does look nice i admit that freely, sadly Austyn made a very poor impression with me so there's that.

That's too bad. For me the magic has always been in the cap and tip. I've never really liked any of the Dynavap offerings and began trying different stems almost immediately.

And my experience (s) with Austyn have been fabulous so there's that.

Uniquely Organic! That is the immediate reaction to this beautiful @artisansdaughter Purple Heart Wood stem. This stem transports you to a different realm and puts you under its spell. While the shape is unusual and organic, it's still familiar, spins easily and fits naturally in your hand. The length is impressive, at almost twice that of a standard stem, and provides great cooling. The ergonomic flat mouthpiece is a really nice touch. Top notch construction and a removable condenser complete the package. This stem is a pleasure to vape, providing large cool clouds and great flavor. I really love this stem and it was great dealing with the artists daughter.

I'm sorry, mate....hahaha...but that one had me spitting out my coffee. LOL

Sounds like a line from some bodice ripper of a romance novel......"the deep and penetrating depths of his cat like eyes transported me to a different realm and put me under his spell" haha

Or maybe Chrysler marketing...."oh, the feel of this fine Corinthian Leather against your ass will transport it to a different realm and put you in a spell" LOL

Sorry, my friend, just the weird way I think and it does tickle me how passionate people get about a...well, tube. ;-)

Cheers

@Baron23 LOL!! No offence taken my man. I love that it made you laugh and your mind went there. Yah that line is pretty cheesy but true, it is so unusual and looks like a magic wand and a couple of cap fulls definitely transported me to a different realm.

"the deep and penetrating depths of his cat like eyes transported me to a different realm and put me under his spell"

On that note, I think we have found a new hobby for @Baron23 in his retirement, steamy romance novel author?

Or Sneaky Pete’s purple prose describing the vortex: “Buy a Rolls-Royce, not just for the purr of the engine… buy it to feel like a movie star out on a leisure cruise. Buy a Rolex, not just for the way it looks on your wrist… buy it for the way she smiles at you when she asks if you have the time. That’s what “luxury” is all about. Feeling damn good and looking damn good doing it.”

There's an even lower temp method that's missing from this pic. You can have 2 of the flames passing over the top of the cap so you're effectively heating the load with just 1 flame at the very top. That's how you cruise flavortown on your first hit.
