Volcano Hybrid

Damn that pump is loud. The fan on my herbalizer is silent compared to that. I hope they can make it more quiet, I was looking to grab a Hybrid but I don't want to wake up my neighborhood up when I pack a bowl at 2am. That pump sounds like a dewalt air compressor.

Herbie couldn’t push anywhere close to this kind of airflow, and flavor is far superior also

didn´t read the whole thread, just a quick question as i am interested in the Hybrid: Can you use this Vaporizer as an on demand Vaporizer like the Arizer EQ? so that it is on the whole day and you can take a puff here and there?

or do i have to preheat the thing everytime i want to take a hit?

You can do that if you remove the filling chamber after each hit. If the hit is too weak for you (needs more preheat from conduction), it gets there in just a few seconds. If your hits are spread out, like say five minutes or more between hits, you can turn the Hybrid off and back on when you come back. (I still remove the filling chamber, even if I turn it off, because it will continue to heat the chamber for a little bit.) The 90 second heat up time crushes the Extreme heat up time, so keep that in mind. A 90 second heat up time will change your routine for the better, and you might find you don't need it on all day.

The heat up time is so fast that we don't even think about it over here. We turn the Volcano on, and by the time we're done filling the chamber (especially if we have to grind up a new batch of herb) it's always ready to go. I don't think we've ever had to wait for the bowl to heat up it's so quick.

thx for the reply

sure, it heats up fast but it is different from a vape that is on all day and ready to use. seems like the volcano is more of a "session vaporizer" where you fill the chamber or capsule and vape it completely because frankly screwing the herb chamber off every time is highly annoying and it will still roast your weed because the chamber stays hot for a few moments.

i think i would use it with capsules and for a session style vape i already have a Mighty which from reports
i´ve read seems to hit very similar to the tube of the Volcano Hybrid.

When i pack an elbow for the Arizer EQ i put the EQ on, let it pre heat one time for 10minutes and i am good to go for 2 or even more hours. Volcano Hybrid seems more like "fill a capsule and vape it completely" because you will lose material if the capsule gets hot and you unscrew the chamber. it will for sure change the vaping routine but i am unsure if it is for the better..

still debating if i should buy the Hybrid, i´ve sold my Plenty a week ago and at the moment i have the EQ and a Mighty but always wanted a Volcano...decisions decisions

I pushed out my review and comparison with the Volcano Classic
Cliffs notes. It's the BMW of weed vapes. The SUPER BAG workflow is my new favorite thing ever.

I'm still putting together the words and pictures for the 420vapezone.com volcano review

This video made me order a Hybrid.

I didn't want to, I've held onto my Classic for the last 15 years. Comparing the quality and quantity of vapor you can tell the Hybrid is getting a better extraction. Increased flavor and potency from the device I already love was convincing, but when we got to workflow profiles I was sold.

If anyone is on the fence, I bought mine for 20% off from CreamCityVapes with the code "CELERITY". I can't imagine it will be cheaper than that any time soon. I almost feel like they screwed up with having this code work at all.

I gotta admit as an equally long term Classic owner I was pretty impressed by that too.
The fast heat-up time really compensates for the one thing the Volcano has never been good at, a quick hit. I'm a late and recent adopter to the Mighty, but I found there were a number of features inside that I really preferred over my old Volcano; I feel like this one really levels the playing field and combines everything they have learned throughout the entire S&B legacy.

I'm really digging the screw on bowl, I feel like people aren't saying enough about how great that feature is, I've had so many "towers of power" fall over during inflation that would need to be babysat, huge upgrade IMO.

One thing I wasn't quite sure of - Can you turn the actual Volcano on from the app or does that still need to be done physically?

Where's @ejackyou at, did you watch the Hybrid review? You can't tell me that workflow mode isn't totally epic for MEDICINAL vaping.

Does the conduction feature really justify this unit? Is it a better extraction overall? Have never used a whip vape, Is the whip re usable? Just clean with alcohol every few weeks?
I love my Classic but the abv is always so light colored, makes me think I am sorta wasting my material. If it does extract better, and regarding all the other features, it must be worth it.

Can confirm volcano hybrid can be turned on from the app!

So I was showing my volcano veteran friend Troy's review of the new Hybrid and he pointed out one thing that I quickly agreed with.

It would have been sweet if S&B shrunk this new unit down a bit, like 2/3 the size of the Classic. It would still have that iconic Volcano look, without being so bulky in the vape station.
