The o-ring closest to the mouth is too tight

Make sure that you are using the correct sized condenser Xrings. The condenser Xrings come in two sizes; a larger and a smaller size. Take The Xrings off of your condenser and compare them, have a good look.

The Xring located at the end of the mp where you place your lips should be the smaller Xring. The next Xring that sits inside the stem but nestled up against the other end on the mp should be the larger Xring.

Here is a link to the Dynavap FAQs. Scroll down to the compatibility chart to see the correct Xring placement.

I received my Omnivap XL today. First impression was I couldn't believe how light it felt in my hand! Almost too light. I guess I'm used to "premium" products typically having a bit of heft to them, so that caught me off guard. I'm starting to get used to it though.

I gave it a soak/rinse in soapy water, put some wax on the o-rings, played around with the condenser/screen placement for a bit, and then decided to give it a go. Took one draw and it hit me like a freight train. Maybe it was a fluke thing, but my M hasn't been hitting me like that lately. Same bud and everything too. Weird!

I can tell I'm going to enjoy not having to work the carb during draws. That felt really nice. The XL length feels good in the hand as well. Overall, I'm happy so far, but more testing is needed...
Why is da “M” so amazing?

Is being truthful not popular?

A while ago I ordered a Ti spinning mouthpiece fom Vaposhop. Unfortunately it doenst spin freely. It seems like a machining error. The o-ring closest to the mouth is too tight. I have another Ti spinning moutpiece that spins freely so the o-ring isnt the problem. I got refunded by vaposhop because they couldnt help me.
Is there a way to make the space for the 0-ring a bit bigger without special tools?

First thing I would do is try the MP on another condenser if you can. DVs tolerances, across all parts always, are not perfect. (that's not really meant as a criticism, they do a pretty damn good job)

If that doesn't find a workable solution. . . .

- With the condenser out of the body/stem does the MP spin freely when the middle (largest) x-ring on the condenser is moved away from it? If yes then the MP is too long and the x-rings are squeezing it when in position and stoping it spin. So dynalowrider's suggestion is correct.

- If it still does not spin because the x-ring in the top of the MP is indeed too tight in that space, then you need to sand the inside of that inner lip/edge to give the x-ring more space (width wise obviously). This will be a nightmare. . I'd start with 240grit sandpaper. stick a 5mm drill bit in a drill the wrong way round, wrap 0.5 cm of masking-tape over the end of the drill bit shaft and wedge that MP, base (fat side) first. Now while you spin the drill press the corner of you sandpaper onto that inner edge with a small flat screwdriver. . . . . be careful and patient and that will work.

I tried a different condensor but the problem stays the same. I can also clearly see when comparing the two mouthpieces that the problem mouthpiece is a tiny bit smaller where the x-ring sits. Without a condensor the x-ring fits fine but when de condensor is installed the x-ring expands and fits too tight.
Maybe I'll try your idea @mrb. Thanks

Lol, nightmare is a strong word... it’s not super fun.

An easier (maybe?) method for me was to wrap some sandpaper around a thin wooden skewer and slide the mouthpiece up and down while rotating.

Have had to sand a couple mouthpieces, but this always fixed the issue.

The inner diameter were the condensor goes is fine. It is the space where the x-ring sits which is too tight

Does anyone have any tips on heating the Omni vs. the M? The clouds seem to come a bit more effortlessly with the Omni, but I’m also not getting the same initial flavor hits I typically enjoy with the M. I think this may be because the Ti tip is heating up faster? I’ve been using it with my PSM and only heating to the first click and no further.

As it sounds like you are new to the VC I thought I would mention that I get better vapour with the carb open than closed (using direct inhale method not cigarette style mouth-pulls). With the carb closed I hate trying to direct draw through that restriction, and I get crappy vapour anyway. Lots of people here would disagree, but the VC seems to be very personal in preference and success, so it's worth trying out a few methods.

I see you've hacked your way to better performance, be sure you didn't get one of the bad batch of M19 tips that went out with very shallow grooves as pictured above in the thread.

As someone mentioned, going a bit past the click can help vapour production, but 3 seconds might be too much! Start smaller and work your way there, 3 seconds would probably be the absolute max in my opinion (with a lighter anyway)

I find the Ti tips hit much better than the SS, felt that way for 2-3 years since my first DV. Many agree, some prefer SS

ENJOY THE WEEKEND ALL :)
Unfortunately they send me the bad badge.. Im working on it with a file but but as i read in previous post and yours too the preferable one is the titanium tip so i think i gonna buy the ti tip and some o rings..how often you replace the o rings?

almost never. . . and I bath mine on the tip in ISO too

i have always used my vapcaps with the carb closed most of the time ... BUT ... recently i have been hitting it with the carb fully open and was surprised that i really liked it !

Yeah my first week I thought I liked a closed carb, then suddenly the magic happened with an open carb. Closed carb will still work for me, but not nearly as much as open.

So, here are my Ms in order of appearence, a M17, and M18, and an M19. I think the groove depth in my M19 looks fine, maybe even a little deeper (but slightly less wide) then the M17.

I DO prefer Ti tips, but I like the SS tips too and have little interest in swapping them out.

And on Xrings, the only ones I have had to replace were ones I lost. I haven't had any break or decompose from ISO, tho I don't do really long soaks.

I HAVE damaged a few HiTemp orings used where the body and tip come together and consider them the only real at risk component of the VapCaps. I like having several backups of those just in case.

I replaced all ss tips...what a waste. No more , I think I'll give this version a try dynavap.

Yeah I don't get it. Is it really much difference in cost to put the helical pattern on steel tips? Seems to be just a sales/marketing thing to get people to pay more for the titanium. But they are good at sales obviously and that's another reason, besides making awesome products, that they are so successful.
