I've finally received my LE 7 fin tip and to be honest I'm not too impressed. The biggest issue is the cap fitment, which is too loose when I use the cap I have designated for discolouration. I like to use one cap between all my vapcaps and keep the other cap I have clean for pictures. If I were to squeeze the cap to fit the LE tip it would be too hard to remove from my original 7 fin tips with a magnet. While I could order another cap to fit just this tip I don't feel like paying the shipping and price for just a cap.

The next issue is the appearance and tactile feel. It's sharp on the fin edges which makes it unpleasant to touch and hold. This also has the problem of creating spots where dents and dings can happen. The tip I received has a rough feeling and shiny little marks all over the edges of the fins where it has contacted other metal parts. This is the opposite of the original 7 fin tips I have which are all smooth, with chamfered edges and only minor scratching from the cap.

After waiting so long it feels like a shame to get rid of it but I don't think I'll be keeping this tip. It's not what I was looking for when I originally signed up for a 7 fin tip and functionally it's not going to jive with my current pieces. :\
That's odd...I can't say that I'm 100 percent in love with my LE tip but it definitely doesn't have any dings or sharp spots. You should definitely reach out about it

Just waxed my new Dynastash and wooded vapcaps. Got a simple agate cigarette holder that works as a short stem. :peace:

My LE tip is down in my car right now so I can't look while I describe it but the best way I have heard it described is like a cam shaft with regularly uneven cams. The sharp edges are an attempt to continue the groves in the tip thru the fins.

I don't know if the later ones from the second run are any different from the first, but I like my original LE tip a lot. I keep it on my Ti Omni XL as I think it looks good with the abstract stem.

do you use it on wood, metal, glass or carbon ?
It seems that I now found a XL condenser that can be used with my Ti-Mp.
no more scratching noise with this one.

will be a nice a gift

Funny I was just coming to ask this question and saw your post.

I got a new carbon fiber stem and Ti mouthpiece in mail today (woohoo 420 sales!).

Although it looks fly as hell... the sound is super irritating. Not sure if that’s just the Ti mouthpiece in general or only in conjunction with the carbon fiber stems (haven’t LEGO’d it around the collection yet).

If I can’t get it to go away with some Dynawax or something... I might be retiring the brand new mouthpiece and throwing on a wooden one. Not a huge deal, just that sound while spinning would drive me crazy lol.

I got a spinning Ti mouthpiece and it made a bit of sound at first, but after a few uses the sound is gone. I'd try beeswax or saliva. Cuz you're right it does look fly to have the Ti MP on a Carbon Fiber stem. XL is sexy. Sizer matters.

Good to know, thanks. Haven’t even “used” it yet aside from putting it together and the sound was first thing I noticed. Glad to hear it subsided over time for you, will have to just use it a ton in order to break it in!!:D

I posted a few weeks ago about how I didn’t like the LE 7 fin so much, mainly due to its quick cool downs and I tend to sometimes combust with it. I’ve had it on my omnivong for the last 2 weeks and I think the LE 7 fin shines with the smallest bowl size. It’s now my dedicated microdoser

Oh btw I received the flat flame torch yesterday and so far it has been a treat to use. It’s definitely better suited for indoors, the gentle flat flame gives a very even heating. The piezo click’s sounds is soft and the butane hiss is very very quiet. I’ll post a proper review in a few days, still experimenting with it. It didn’t help that my IH came the day before but I’m not complaining

The sharp edges on the fins and the top edge of the tip are definitely micro dented and rough with mine, it glitters, and looks and feels uneven. It really could have used a ceramic stone wash to remove all the sharp edges and smooth out the irregularities. The mouth piece also has burs on the ID that need to be removed before I can insert the condenser through it. The quality of finish on these parts doesn't seem like it's up to the same standards as what I usually see from them.

I have reached out but I'm really growing tired of trying to complete my fourth and final Vapcap. It's been months of back and forth, waiting and constant reminders (from me) to even receive my LE tip and mouth piece that I had paid for long ago. All I wanted was to have one more 7 fin tip that matched my others and functioned the exact same. I love Dynavap but this whole experience has been really disappointing and frustrating. I don't feel like pursuing it much further anymore.

I'll likely trade away this LE tip for something else, and avoid contaminating it trying it out.

Wow before my 4/20 order arrived earlier today (Came 2 days early what a pleasant surprise ) I was wondering if either my tolerance had gotten higher or for some reason, my M wasn't functioning as well. I don't know how I could have ever doubted George and his work. My order arrived giving me the necessary pieces to build myself a new Carbon Fiber XLS. While moving my Ti tip from the M to the new condenser, I noticed how insanely gummed up my M condenser was with reclaim. I should've guessed it was my fault. I moved the Ti tip to the new XLS and was blown away. It was like a whole new device! Looking forward to making some condenser milk with this reclaim :brow:

Yes my order was in my mail box for two days. I wasnt expecting it until today. I love the Vertigo dual torch.

The Carbon Fiber XL is our favorite. George needs to put out other colors of CF. Has this been discussed before?

When you say "our" is that you and your partner? ;) You and the voices? :haw: Was there a vote I missed?

I'm so sorry dear @Newcastle I couldn't stop myself, I hope you know this about me by now... from here and elsewhere. Chronic character flaw.

Great idea about different colours! I honestly don't think I've read anyone asking about this but it would surely be a winning option. I want one in red and one in green, please! Yesterday!

Those waiting and watching USPS tracking may just be surprised! I've had it happen before...

Got my Omni XL and.... I'm slightly disappointed. The mouthpiece-end of the body has scuffs, scratches, and imperfections.. didn't expect something perfect, but for the high price I expected something damn close to perfect. :-(

Already tried to remove the scuffs with iso, but nah, they're definitely permanent.

Judging from your last picture, I really think that you have a defective Omni.

I have two Omnis, a regular and an XL. The milling on mine is shiny smooth throughout. You're looks like it may have been made with a bad blank or maybe there was a shimmy of some sort as it was being milled.

I would contact them and include those pics.

Those look like plier or vice marks to me, as though it had to be gripped firmly and pulled out of something. They are not machine marks and don't even look like chuck jaw marks. I would contact Dynavap.

My order came today and it was mostly parts. It also included something I hadn't yet ordered but had been asking about, and all I can say is WOW. We have some great folks in this forum who like to look out for other users, but it needs to be said that it's NOT just the visitors to the thread. It is DV and George his own self, and that makes it a joy to be a member here and to help out in what little ways we can.
