For the most part my home VC use goes like this. Using a vong (and my Jarhead), I take the first hit (for flavor) in my mouth. Then I put it on a water piece and do 2 click to click hits. Sometimes the first WP hit cashes the load, but if not the second will.

I don't feel like I get enough precision in temps to temp step with the VC. I find battery vapes better for that, tho I rarely do it anymore.

Thanks for the advice. Do you use a spinning mouthpiece? And if so, does it ever cause you problems when using your water piece?

Thought I heard it isn’t as secure or there’s something that might cause problems.

Hi guys!

I've just been reading the experiences some of you've had trying to make friends switching to vaping in general and to the VapCap in particular. My experiences in that regard are very bad. I have daily-user friends, friends that use it occasionally and friends that never use weed. Those who use it daily prefer to smoke the weed with the tobacco. They claim they like the ritual of rolling, smoking and so on; albeit my thesis is that they mainly miss the nicotine of joints. Those who only use it punctually tend to really appreciate the device, yet they usually claim that the investment is not worth it for them given how frequently they do weed. Those who never use weed... Well, what can I just say about those? :)

It may also play against me the fact that I enjoy tricking my friends into getting very high with a single massive hit. So whenever I've shown someone the device, I've told him / her how I do the pulls: long, steady and deep all the way from heating click to the cool-down click. What usually happens is... Well, they cough with their eyes closed and claim they're "bong"-alike-sky-rocket-high. And then I laugh. And we all laugh. But then they of course say that the VapCap is not for them. I'm a bit of an asshole sometimes. Anyway, I always show them how to adjust the usage to their needs, and even most people end up liking it, no one around me is willing to give up smoking for the VapCap.

PS: Can a titanium tip be placed in an XL stainless steel condenser?

Has anybody tried a silicone bong with the vapcap?
It is not breakable and easy to travel with.
Im thinking to buy one but id like to know if it is ok with the VC M?

I tried a silicone Eyce bubbler. It’s great with vapcap—when you remove the glass bowl, you’re left with a 10mm silicone opening that perfectly fits the M or any mouthpiece.

I'm thinking about getting a Vega bong but I dunno if the stem is 10 or 14mm or what.

I've been using a 14mm j hook with my supreme v3 and is been great. I'll update with dynavap impressions over I get my screens in. My vapcap is it of commission boys. I most it dearly!

It’s easier to convince older folks to jump butt naked into the quarry than to convert them to vaping.

Our brave new world scares the shit out of some.

Older?..... OLDER? I'm 63, and introduced vc's to my 73 yr old friend. The enlightened generation. He loves his M.

The M's I've gifted to peeps that don't use them are in their 50's. Damn punks don't know what's good for them!

And get off my grass!

So, the Vong I have had for a while is I think the first iteration of the Nonavong with the roughed up side to make finding the air hole easier. I got it normal length with a stem (rather than a body) so no mouthpiece. I did this specifically to avoid any issues with the MP making the vong go too deep in the female joint on those pieces that either have a short joint or have water levels that might leave the MP in water.
On the recent BOGO I got 2 more Vongs, both stems. One of them I intend to use with an XL condenser, the LE 7fin Tip I have on order, and the Ti MP. That one will run the risk of being too long for some of my pieces, but I expect it to be cool so WTF. That one being XL and having a Ti MP will probably NOT be intended for water pieces, tho time will tell.
So I will have 3 Vongs now. I think that's enough... ;)

Yes, and I intend to do exactly that.

I really think there are more of us in our 60s in here (FC) than any other age group.

May I ask you what's the advantage of doing so? My question was curiosity rather than anything else.
Well, to make a Vong XL you have to start with a stem and add a mouthpiece. So, I guess I am doing it because I can.
I mean it sure isn't because I NEED another VapCap.
I have an XL Omni TI and I DO like the length, so lets call this an experiment.

But to answer your actual question, there isn't really any advantage. It is just a new and different toy. What you get is a longer Vong. For variety. Or something...
PS: Someone in his twenties here! :)
No worries. We won't hold it against you.

Exactly the same situation here :D

Only a few of my friends are vaping. Most of them, including my wife, still are wasting their stuff in joints with tobacco. They seem to be immune to all my missionary efforts.

What demographic has enough disposable income for vas? Not most college students.

Sad but true.

PS: Can a spinning mouthpiece be used with a Titanium XL condenser? I guess so from the DynaVap compatability charts, but I can't imagine how it would look like.

EDIT: I can't figure out how to properly read those compatibility charts, but I assume that Tiatanium Condensers and spinning wood mouthpieces are not compatible.

As far as I know, the only Ti condensers at this point are Omni condensers. I know we have talked about Ti regular condensers, but I don't think they have arrived yet. So, both the regular condenser and the XL condenser are still steel.
A spinning MP (wood or Ti) will work fine with an XL condenser with a stem or a regular condenser with a body.
The Omni condenser has a MP built in and is now Ti.

It can. A vong comes in 2 sizes, body and stem. A standard condenser would take a body and a mp or just a stem. An XL condenser will take a stem and a MP.

And I guess the omnivong std comes as the body?

Had to revert back to using my old cap, the customised cap is still taking around 35 seconds to cool down, im also getting a metal taste in the background which i never have experienced with my Vapcap ( my favorite vape ) still waiting on a reply from the company but im not too worried as they have looked after me every time ive ever had a small problem or question!

In my case the customized cap that I received today click only one time, without the "pre-click". Don't know if it's normal.. Do you have the same problem ?

EDIT : And the biggest problem is that I can't heat my stuff properly, and it's frustrating...

Do most of you guys temperature step with your vapcaps or do you usually just shoot for full extraction?
I’m looking to take a hit or two throughout the night and if I can start with low temps early and finish the night with higher temps on the same pack that would be ideal.
I always begin heating the cap over the bottom third, near the digger outter. This brings the Vapcap up to a nice toking temp from a cold start. The second cycle is heated over the middle third because there is residual heat in the tip and bottom heat is not needed at this point. I finish off a third cycle heating the top third of the cap. This gives me a nice toast colored ABV, smooth tokes and no coughing.

I always use fresh herb. I never take a toke and save the rest for later. The tip is loaded with the amount of herb I intend on fully extracting in one session, over about a minute or less.

For easy hits through the night, I use Pipes Induction Heater either with dry herb or with a concentrate using a concentrate pad. Concentrate is nice because I can load the Vapcap up with enough concentrate for several sessions without the flavor being comprimised. One hit and I'm back to dreamland. No loading, no dumping. Just instant bliss.

Checkout the link below on the method I use for concentrates.

EDIT: I can't figure out how to properly read those compatibility charts, but I assume that Tiatanium Condensers and spinning wood mouthpieces are not compatible.

Correct. Titanium Omni condensers are not compatible with spinning mouthpieces because the Omni condenser threads onto an Omni mp as a complete unit. Spinning mps are held onto a regular condenser with x shaped orings. Two different animals.

There are two types of condensers; regular condensers and Omni condensers. Both come in a standard length and an XL length. The condenser determines the overall length of your Vapcap. The standard length will give you a 3.5 inch Vapcap and the XL will give you a 4.25 inch Vapcap. The shorter length is great for stealth and the longer one is easier for large hands to handle. They are both great and it's nice to have both. The standard length ones go out and about with me and the longer ones stay at home for indoor use.

The regular condensers accommodate different configurations. For example a standard length condenser can accommodate a 62mm configuration. So you could have a Vapcap with;

- a 45mm BODY with a 17mm spinning mp.
Or
- a 62mm STEM with no mp.

an XLS length condenser can accommodate a 79mm configuration. So you could have a Vapcap with;

- a 62mm STEM with a 17mm mp.

The Omni condenser is a threaded condenser which threads onto a titanium Omni mp. The condenser and mp work together as one unit. By loosening of tightening the mp onto the condenser opens or closed the airflow for a set it and forget it customized air restriction.

@cgod @Taazokaan Glad i'm not going :mental:! Noticed the same with the etched caps as well. Not stoked as I bought 4 of them (and used 3 to make sure I wasn't :science:.) The click lag really ruins what makes the VC so great, IMO. I've also gone back to the 'normal' caps. They're cool looking though :)

Edit: I also emailed Dynavap the day I received and noticed the difference and I still haven't gotten a reply. Hope they are looking into it. @Arielle.Dynavap

This guy is a joint smoker, clearly his favorite way to consume, so I really thought he would get it, but no, he hasn't. I'm going to suggest he put it in a drawer and try again some time when he is more motivated, like after a coughing fit...
