I agree. There's two specs going on (i.e. Dnail 20mm Coil 16mm Threading) which sadly doesn't roll off the tongue well as a product name, and its easy to get confused. Big Nuts & Small Nuts was another option we bounced around - probably best to go in another direction. I'm updating all products and parts involved so its a lot more clear what's needed for any given setup, along with more visual tools similar to this:

ANYWAY - we've made a change recently so I wanted to update you all. The 20mm Coil Wrap-Arounds now use the same 20mm nuts that the ShowerHead uses. It has the same 5 Holes going straight down, only the diameter of the bottom(nut) threading has changed. This applies only to the 20mm-Coil WrapAround. The 16mm-Coil and D-Nail versions did not change. The 16mm Nut will remain available for the other heads. So this is the 20/20:

Also for a short time we're including both heads in the big ShowerHead Bundle, so now that the nuts are the same, you'll get the ShowerHead top, along with the above WrapAround and a SiC dish.

Is there a reason why the 20mm dnail versions weren't provided this update to provide a larger area of heated metal? Not sure how much benefit it provides over current offering but I wouldve made the switch if it happened.

Nope no reason; possibly something we'll see 2018. While the units are not lacking for heat in any way, that extra mass would be focused around the exit so every little bit helps as far as retention/rebound goes.

Sorry - I doubt it. At least for Q1. ;) Using a glass body brings far more challenges than you might expect to be durable, effective and safe. Safety is key.

@The Nature Boy I know this prob isn't what your looking for, but a 14mm M-F adapter w/ a screen worked well enough for me. Does it taste better than my 14mm Stubby bowl ? A little, but not nearly as dramatic a difference as say, using glass stems vs the stock stems in my Supreme.

I might as well ask, what about a SiC FP bowl? It would offer the improved taste and offer durability.

Still haven't heard if these glass bowls are being made with a view in mind like GS.

That is so very true. But what they aren't doing is putting any weight or stress on top of those nails. If you want the FP to sit on top of a quartz bowl,(and we all do) that bowl sure better be designed to take that stress. And..repeated stress. It could break so easily without massive reinforcement. Imagine if you had the FP on top of the quartz bowls you mention... Accidentally knock the handle - just torque it down a lil too much and it could snap the glass, sending the hot FP falling and potentially a hot piece of glass flying.

Wall thickness at the joint is a huge issue - you need it for strength but also it cuts down on ID so your airflow is reduced from current. We can't sacrifice function for the sake of quartz.

I dream of a quartz ShowerHead top...I mean...oh my. Sadly, machining quartz doesn't strengthen it, it weakens it. As a former glass blower I can attest that to obtain the exacting consistency we need for this to work...its damn hard. We could do a quartz bowl, but not one we can firmly stand behind, so its back to the vapelab.

This is something I've been wondering about and this discussion sparked it back up...

What are those glass looking bongs made out of that are VERY durable? Like, knocked down a flight of stairs, dropped on hard flooring/concrete, etc and no breaking. I'm sure they *CAN* break but are way more durable than most glass.

I ask because I'd like to get one to pair with the FP but also if this is a possibility for glass bowls

It seems like that scenario would just as easily snap a male joint, which many are enjoying their Flowerpots with? It kind of reminds me of carbon fiber, which snaps in half easily, but can also support a giant Airplane during an 18 hour flight.

Could you post some of the quartz bowls you guys have tested with the FP?

It's not indestructible, but you might be thinking of Simax glass.

Folks, I've gone all glass path with my FlowerPot. Good God it's great! :o

Found a few glass slides in all my recent glass purchases that are almost the perfect size diameter and depth to use as a FlowerPot bowl. I'm keeping Titanium screens away from these... just glass screens and degummed hemp fiber for particulates.

Yum... never going back to Ti bowls and screens again! It's seriously that much of an improvement! :)

I've found that some strains have a fine "minty" background flavor, delicate and straw-like. Titanium bowls completely rob this particular flavor... but glass does not seem to affect it. Awesome! ;)

NewVape420...hope you can help me out. I just placed an order for a shower head kit. But I forgot to add 2 titanium double weaves and a 5 piece titanium screen set. Any way to get this in my order and not get billed for a 2nd shipping if I have to order separate? Thanks for any help.

Email sales@newvape.com and request to do this. I forgot to order something one time and was just refunded the shipping amount. See if they can do the same or similar.
