despite the higher price I went with the nonavong instead of the the M.
price difference here in EU on black friday was approx 24EUR.

for these 24EUR I get:

adjustable Ti-Cap (very important for me, because I want to microdose)
&
14mm watertool compatibility "out of the box"

seems worth it.

how does the cocobolo wood hold up against moistured air, when used through a bubbler?
How do you take care of this exotic wood to stay strong and good looking ?

@Alex3oe, How did your Solo get confiscated? :o

Although not a vong, here's a pic of a custom @phattpiggie acrylic flared 14mm stem w/ the orbiter. There may be a pic of a vong w/ the orbiter somewhere.

And if you're interested in the mouthpiece, here's GH's post:

Thanks, indeed I'm looking for a mouthpiece as I don't like these rubber sleeves.

When I got my Air, I lent the Solo a good friend of mine, who hardly tried to stop using tobacco. 1.5 years ago his home was raided by LE (as mine was too) and they took away the Solo. Never got it back :(

Edited to add: Can someone who has a vong give @Mr.Sifter advice on cleaning & maintaining it. He posted several posts back. Thanks.

@Summer Where in the world do you find the energy? I see you helping people out in threads all over this place! We're going to have to get you a concierge badge.

Hyper, energetic you are telling me I have energy??? I like helping people out, addressing those questions that are overlooked &, most of all, I find that when questions are answered sometimes they are not answered in a descriptive enough way so that the questioner understands the answer. I found that was a problem for we when I was an infant newbie. Even now, I find answers confusing. Doesn't hurt that I do administrative work. I like being descriptive & detailed, researching & following things through in a linear format. It's the way my brain works. The creative & conceptual part of brain doesn't work well. And it doesn't take any energy to lay on my back & reply, although using the search feature or manually having to search tires & stresses me out mentally.

Do you think I can have a concierge job instead of a badge? :D

You have chosen wisely @Mr.Sifter !
The Nanovong is a perfect starting platform into the Vapcap world and best bang for the buck next to the M. You get the mac daddy Ti Tip, ready to mate to your water piece out of the box and is easier to spin while heating with its added girth.
The cocobolo in the Nonavong shape is a pretty solid piece of wood. I use a butchers block conditioner every couple weeks on all my wood pieces to keep the grain looking good and conditioned. Plenty of places to buy food grade wood conditioner, or you can DIY with Beeswax and coconut/mineral (either) oil. Recipes on the webs.
You have now jumped onto a wonderful slippery slope.
Hope you enjoy the slide as much as alot of us do.

Custom cases are definitely available upon request. There’s lots that can be done with them as far as customization, the design leaves a lot of freedom for change.

@SloJimFizz, do you get any reclaim on the inside of the vong? If so, how do you clean it? And do you condition the inside as well? Thanks!

You seem to be up @Summer at all hours of the night, somewhat unsettling bumping into you in the middle of my sleep.:D

Stark, you only have to worry if I start invading your dreams.

Nah, didn't get anything this time around. I have a stem coming from stardustsailor this week to replace my omni stem. And, I'm 99.99% sure there's 1 or 2 phattpiggie acrylic stems in my future. And I'd love to get my hands on a 7 fin tip so keeping my eye on the classifieds. In the future, I'm sure there'll be a condenser, tip & cap or 2, maybe a Winegums' stash & an Ed's Woodscents. Just taking it slow.

Most of the reclaim ends up in the condenser.
Learned in the Vapman thread to use acetone to clean wood of reclaim. So my Eds DV, Arizer and Nano stems, sticky bricks and vapman get their innards cleaned with qtips dipped in that.

Your spitoon box is a nice platform for a custom Skelator box with that spitoon style hole above the heater. One hole in the lower backside for the charger port and leave the battery tester and kill switch inside the box .

How about pics of your DIY? We love pictures!

Induction mini. AC only. Quarter for scale. Can be left on for multi minute session because NOT enclosed. LED on the external electronics. Glass tube for coil not displayed. FET and wiring in the box, female 2.5mm for AC/DC adapter on the side. Inspired by @Pipes.

If I make another may move switch to the side and put battery holder and lithium ion management board on the top. (Lithium ion batteries to be rapidly charged and discharged inside a sealed enclosure with or without a heat emitter(!) seems like a bad idea, so they'll go on the exterior too). Stabilize glass tube using tongue depressors. Maybe shorten the coil leads.

Misery loves company so I’m enjoying your agony in trying to post pics. :D

Imgur - Upload pic, copy “direct link” and paste directly into Forum page (no need to paste it into the photo icon).

In other words, you don’t need to use the little photo Icon above to put your pics on the page. Just post the ‘direct link’ after you copy it straight to your posting page.

Hope this helps. :)

I've seriously considered picking up a skelator to combine it with my ABV bins but one thing or another has come up just before I order one. It's still something I want to do, but for now I decided to keep my bins general purpose. If anyone wants a magnet and stem holder installed into one in the mean time that shouldn't be a problem.

Is there any noticeable performance difference between running a Ti screen in the Ti tip versus running a SS screen in the Ti tip? The SS screen would stay hot for a bit longer and delay the cool-down click, no?

Also my previous generation (2016) Ti CCD screen has the same cutout design as the new SS screens, so airflow and filtering ability should be the same between those 2..

The Ti is thicker than the SS CCD which would offset the density difference. I've never noticed a performance difference between the two material types.

Oh no....the SS and Ti screens now have the same design? But that was the only way I could tell them apart. Oh my......
No, they dont have the same design. Thats why i said previous generation Ti CCD screen. The current generation Ti screen has a different (fancier) pattern. The current generation SS screen adopted the same pattern as my previous gen Ti screen.

Unless Im wrong and Dynavap was putting SS screens into the Ti tips a few years ago, and what I have is actually a SS screen...can someone clarify?

You do know @fcmember that one is (slightly) magnetic, while the other is not.

What Voltage did you go with, does the coil heat up with time?

I have a similar IH module, and the coil heats up noticeably.

Would like to see your unit in an enclosure, make the power supply external to the IH, so
the form factor is minimal, with only a wire-to-pocket.

The smaller, the better.

Noticed a glass OG heats up fastest, SS, then Ti. You?

You do know that I threw out the bait and you took it swiftly! :D I just knew good folks would take that bait and give me some practical ways to tell the difference between the SS and Ti CCD screens. Kudo’s to you all!

Also... @stark1 is in very big trouble. Double-post with other post all in a row makes for triple-trouble! Hope you can get bailed out real soon after they catch up with you!
