I don't want to put the :leaf: directly in the DynaStash.

So, in the absence if a UK retailer of Vong bodies, I took it upon myself to find a workaround with my omni.

5 mins later, An Evo ELB with a couple wraps of electrical tape around the sides sits snugly inside a 14mm piece and as if by miracle, the Omni mouthpiece fits snugly into the top of the ELB.

Job done!

@jamesuk9 have you noticed, pictures tend to collect "Likes", like a butterfly. :sherlock:

I don't understand why some of you don't want to put herb directly in the stash (which is, after all, designed for this purpose.) Is it because you don't want the wood to get dirty? Are you concerned the herb will taste like wood? I had the classic combo of pinch hitter 'bat' pipe and dugout stash for years, and just like those the dynastash side for storing material in is shorter inside than the 'garage' side, so that when you put the bowl end of the vapcap in there you get resistance from the bottom well before you would run out of vapcap to hold on to. Makes it super quick and easy to prep a fresh bowl. Adding a tube or something else in there just complicates that process, and unnecessarily in my opinion.

But, I mean, do it how you want to. I just don't get ya.

Side note: My bocote stash got loaded up on that side on the day I got it, and when closed seems pretty dang smell proof. Twist the top open and whooo yeah, smells nice inside. Closed though, in my pack, not a whiff. So far, anyway...

Here are some nice STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL bodies and stems.

I hope you don't mind the edit above. Cocobolo is such a beautiful and varied wood. What a lovely collection!!!

Another Stunner!!! I must have one those for sure! Decisions, Decisions!

1) to owners of the Woody XL, do you feel like it it is too heavy to hold between your lips while using? I want the added length but don't want to feel like it's too heavy to use with no hands.

They are all quite light IMO, but I never dangle them from my lips. I'm just not that kind of girl. :spliff:

I did weigh my Vapcaps to see the difference in weight between models. Here is a comparison.

Ti Woody S (Blackwood) - 9gms

Ti Woody (Cocobolo) - 10 gms

Ti Woody XLS (B&W Ebony) - 10 gms

Ti VonG S 14mm (Burl) - 11gms

Omnivap (Titanium body) - 13 gms

Ti Copper Stoned (Custom stem) - 21gms

Omnivap (Custom Damascus body) - 30 gms

So it looks like all regularly stocked models are under half an ounce.

Is there any way to view/choose between the varieties of exotic wood mouthpieces available from Dynavap? I've already accepted that the wood grain/style of any woody vapcap will be random, but am curious about the mp.
Yes, you can add a message to your cart when you check out with your request or you can send an email through the Contact page on the Dynavap website.

Is it possible to get a Burl body on an Omnivap? I don't see an option for that on the dynavap site yet.

I'm fighting against buying an Omnivap but... if I can get a Burl body i'm getting one 100%

You could ask. They may have some now or they may have some in stock shortly. Not everything available is listed on the website.

Don't know about others, but at least two reasons I'd like an insert.
  • More smell-proof. If possible I get stuff that REEKS. DynaStash does a good job of keeping this minimal, but if I sit next to someone for a while they're probably going to get a whiff. Not always cool.
  • Keep stash from drying out. Think wood makes this even worse, and can be a real problem this time of year with dry air and heaters at home, in the car, and pretty much everywhere else. The biggest reason I use tiny airtight glass jars instead of my DynaStash this time of year. Fortunately, coats are also in play with larger pockets!

@GreenHopper.
I'm primarily all about the taste these days.
How does the Vapcap hold up to other top tier vapes taste wise?

My Ti woody gives me excellent taste- nice and neutral despite being called a woody. But I've been wanting to ask the VC community---do the titanium and glass bodies taste even more neutral? It looks like some vapor hangs out in the space between the condenser and the body, coming into contact w/ the inside of the body, so does that mean the woody gives of a slightly 'woody' taste compared to the other bodies?

I don't own many vapes but the best tasting ones I currently own are this one and an Alfa, which was my first vape. It made me quit smoking cold turkey the first time I ever used it -- because it's absolutely bursting with flavor at the low temp setting, and for a taste chaser like me, smoking instantly became a lame experience. I think of the 'best tasting' vapes as the ones with the most neutrality, letting you taste the terpenes and not the device, and my Ti Woody Vapcap comes very close to the Alfa in terms of that ability. So if an Omni VC without any wood parts has even more neutrality, then it's even better for tasting your herbs. But the woody is already very, very neutral.

Smell proofing is my main reason. I also find the tube easier to use and transfer to other vapes.

Thanks for the replies, now I do know why some of you don't want to put your supplies directly inside. That tube is a perfect fit, wow!

What I've got in mine at the moment is pretty smelly, but with the lid shut I can't smell it at all. I've had it for less than a week though, and I imagine that the lid will loosen a bit (hopefully not much) over time. I don't expect to keep the same stuff in mine for very long at a time, and if it seems to be getting too dry before I get to the bottom I'll probably just dump it into my Sticky Brick or something else as an excuse to load the dynastash up with something fresh.

what is odd on the original vapcap is that even if I accidentally burn the stuff, it's way less harsh than other vapes I tried.

I think this can be attributed to the unique way that the Vapcap cools the vapour:

If you imagine the way nice cool air enters the air port (carb hole) on the stem, it enters, then travels down the stem towards the tip, passing along the condenser as it goes, which cools the condenser as warm vapour travels up thru the condenser. This causes the vapour in turn to be cooled too... it really is a design marvel, and as far as I'm aware it's the only vape that actively cools the vapour after leaving the extraction chamber.

There's a video around here somewhere of @VapCap explaining it much better than I can, but that's basically the jist of it. In my experience the Vapcap vapour is second to none in terms of smoothness and density- it's the only vape I own where I can take big lung busting hits and not have even a hint of irritation in my throat- my enano produces extremely dense clouds but makes me cough a lung up most of the time, even with lower temps. All my vapes are a bit tickly on my throat, except for the Vapcap which is so smoothe.

And I also find that the Vapcap can produce probably the densest vapour of all my vapes: most of my other vapes add too much air to the vapour which provides less satisfying hits: the Vapcap puffs away like a cigarette in terms of density.

Hope that all makes sense... stoner contemplation of the inner workings of the Vapcap! (Except I'm not stoned, and I'm working a night shift.... sigh).

Peace

I don't know if everyone is the same, but after I have been consuming a strain for a few days I become a little desensitized to its aroma, so I may not smell it when others might. I like to carry my Dynastash with me in some places I really would not want to be tagged, so any smell proofing I can get is a good thing. I tend to carry Jyarz.

Both of the dugouts I carried for many years had sliding openings rather than twisting, and were more tightly sealed. Even those after many years had smell noticeable by others eventually just because they were wood. The goods usually weren't as skunky as they are today either, at least in my world.

Hey all, I've been an owner of an OG for a few months and am looking to upgrade. I would greatly appreciate answers to my questions down below...

1) to owners of the Woody XL, do you feel like it it is too heavy to hold between your lips while using? I want the added length but don't want to feel like it's too heavy to use with no hands.

2) to owners of engraved caps, how did you go about asking for this addition and how did it affect the total price of your order?

3) is there any way to view/choose between the varieties of exotic wood mouthpieces available from Dynavap? I've already accepted that the wood grain/style of any woody vapcap will be random, but am curious about the mp.

That's about it, thanks for your time!
So today I conducted a little experiment out of curiousity to your question about the weight of the xls handsfree. I've never dangled my woody xls off my lips before without supporting it but it trying today it wasn't an issue. It was light enough where my lips weren't trembling in any way but I fail to see why you wouldn't just hold it. For sure it's doable, if you were to cover the mouthpiece with the silicone shell that's $1 you could bite it between ur teeth like a stogie and be real gangsta:cool:, lol

Haha, glad my post inspired you.

I use my vapcap while working on the computer or editing tunes, so its very convenient to put it on the lips and forget about it for a while. I used to do the same when I smoked j's, so maybe I've formed a bit of a habit aswell!

Anyway, in the end I decided to get the Woody S, but will no doubt order more bodies/stems in the future (especially a NonaVong body!) :D

I have received my dynavap shipment! Unfortunately, the dynastashes have a few problems with the holes. The triple torch worked fantastic, for only 5 clicks. Purged and still nothing. Besides those few bummers, which hopefully can be worked out, the rest of the package is stunning!
