@t-dub you can't fault anyone for packing up and moving to a foreign land for the better. I have Latvian friends who've done just that. They don't want to live in the UK but do because it's better to live than survive.

@turk not your fault, emotions running high and all that and we are all adults here.

A redistribution of wealth is what is called for along with a massive shift from the 'disposable society' we all live in.

It's going to be interesting seeing where all this leads. Trump doesn't like the Chinese because of what? They take advantage of a situation as would anyone else.
A lot of people on FC have devices, vape and non vape related, that they may not be able to buy any more if he shuts down imports. Just because it was built in America doesn't mean all the parts came from America. I doubt any one can say they have a non Chinese electronic device.
It 'our' fault it's they way it is because we demand cheaper goods.

@herbivore21 No one will know for sure what's coming. Don't forget other people will be 'advising' Trump now and some will be very persuasive. If he can see a profit being turned I'm sure he will leave well alone.

I am still in shock at the outcome of the election. It was obvious some time ago but I sincerely believed that the system was rigged so far in Clinton's favour that the fix was always going to be in. Wow, it has never felt so wrong to be so right :(.

I think there are a lot of people who are underestimating the amount of people who are saying fuck all about it but will vote Trump.

He is the Stone Cold Steve Austin of politics flipping the finger at everyone & not giving a fuck. There are millions of disenfranchised Americans who are desperate & live in hope for something better. Democracy has failed these average Americans & sold out to the corporations who took away their jobs & gave them cheap consumer goods to placate them.

These people are waking up now & they are pissed enough at both sides of the establishment they will vote for a renegade as a fuck you. These people may not have ever voted but they see someone "worth" voting for in Trump.

It's all beer & skittles in November

Til you wake up with a shocking hangover in January wondering how the fuck it all happened

Rofl , sorry for your country guys, it's sad to see an asshole like that President of the most powerful country in the world (well your guys already have GW Bush so...:D), really but i've always said america are 5-10 years ahead, so i guess it's soon our turn here in europe(even more in my country^^:ugh:) to have some rich asshole racist and "xenophobic" who take the power ...

People really want a "change" and someone like trump gives them the illusion of this change :'( .

They beter leave it the fuck alone if they are smart. However, if Christe is made AG we might see some pushback, but I doubt it, they have bigger fish to fry and the tax revenue is too enticing.

I hope so but I doubt most Republicans will leave it alone. I'll be shocked if they do. Money talks so hopefully that will make the difference.

I don't fall into any of those categories, I haven't got the energy to hate anyone no matter what they believe and no matter what I believe on the same subjects.

Trump lives in a society where money and the cult of personality rules. He appealed to a part of that society that can see there must be a change, they are disillusioned, he's made promises that have targeted these people and he's proved charismatic enough to pull it off.
How much money have both sides spent to get where we, you, are now. How could this money have been spent in other areas that really need it?

Massive changes are afoot for the USA, some will be good but I get the feeling if Trump follows up on his 'promises' most will be bad.
If the Dollar follows the Pound and gets devalued or other down turns in the economy occur you can bet some greedy fuk will profit from it.

So did Hillary and her supporters.
they are disillusioned, he's made promises that have targeted these people and he's proved charismatic enough to pull it off.
Same can be said about Hillary and her voters, except they lost.
How could this money have been spent in other areas that really need it?
Well Hillary's campaign had access to and spent way more $$$ than Trump did. He financed most of his campaign himself. Its obvious that Trump spent way less money than Hillary.

He's sold the country their own flavour of lie, he's promised everything to everyone and now has a conciliatory tone, so I wonder how quickly those lies will unravel? I really don't like our (america and teh rest of the world) chances at working out which of the promises he intends to keep.

Lo and Behold! The transformative power of Vapor.
To Do list. Starting today. The IMPEACH TRUMP NOW! movement begins. There is plenty pre-election mess to work with alone. Why wait for him to do the damage, then prosecute. We have to baby sit this president man-child.

Dismantle the two party system ans/or make it obsolete. I blame BOTH parties and the two party system for getting Trump elected. Get rid of all election shenanigans that prevent any citizen from voting.

Vote and encourage others to vote in all mid-term elections. Thank the volunteers at the Polling booths for their work. They had it rough this year.

Don't get fooled by the two party puppetmaster.

Woke up to Mrs PP telling me the result.
When is he due to take a drive round Dallas?
What do you mean, exactly, by this?

I could take it two ways. One, that you live in Dallas and want to see him. (Yay!)

The other has me thinking about Dallas as a meme. That meme deals with an assassination. (Seriously? Either pick up or put down the vape. You've either not had enough or have had way too much.)

Same can be said about Hillary and her voters, except they lost.

Trump did it in a different way, he spoke about US firms setting up factories in Mexico which he, and I, disagree with. This takes jobs away from Americans and seeing the footage of once prosperous rural America I can see why they voted for him.

T-dub I don't disagree with anything you say what I do disagree with is how the whole system ,globally, is fuk'd up.
It's 2016 and a lot of people live well below the poverty line, there is enough to go round so that every single person on the planet can have a reasonable standard of living.

@OldNewbie What I was saying is that if the shit hits the fan big time I can see history repeating itself, perhaps not in the same manner but quite possibly along the same lines.

EDIT I have every Wednesday off but baked or not my opinions are the same.

I was watching a jesse ventura interview, and he referred to an earlier one I posted below where he was warning about how he should have picked another wild card because pence is both a favorite of the same republican old-guard establishment that comprised the never trump movement, and potentially a heartbeat away from the presidency. This could be a bad combo for trump, now he really needs to watch his back.

Congrats guys! You've got yourselves another douche behind the wheel!

Not better or worst than the previous douche, just a different douche but oh so much the same as most previous douches. :ko:
I think there will be a big competition from now on! Who is the biggest douche? Your douche or our douche (Greek PM Tsipras)? The rest of the world's douche leaders are watching in agony...
Not all of course... There still are a few out there just wondering about where this world is heading and are doing their best to slow the downfall... Like Bhutan's king, of whom I heard about recently and I am humbled by what he is doing for his people and the rest of the world...:whoa:

:peace:

EDIT: WOW! That was my 2.5K!!!:lol: Could not be a better one!! :lmao:

The DNC handed this win to trump. I'm fucking embarrassed by my party and I'm embarrassed for my country.
Debra Wasserman Schultz should never be allowed to participate in politics again.

Fuck the DNC! Lying, cheating bastards.

Please contact the DNC and tell them this isn't racists and misogynists this is at their feet and they are responsible for this trump presidency.
I did.

@abby All in the past. We move forward. We have hope.
(I try not to let one aspect of a decision overly influance me)
It is sort of too late to or early to contemplate what separates us. We need to Unite, participate and if folks want to get 3rd party going, I would wait a month but go for it. I have always been about change. Here is a big one. I hope I like it.
