Sticky Brick Labs Vaporizer

As of right now, they are not available in the store, but if everyone would like us to carry them, please let us know.
We have looked at the idea of including them with future Brick purchases.
I'd like to hear everyone's thoughts.

I hope everyone is having a great week so far, lots of work going on the in Lab in all areas!
:peace:

I say include them, even if it means increasing the price a little bit. The Sticky Brick is a top tier vape so might as well go all out with accessories and give a top tier experience there too.

Not that I think SBL is doing a bad job now. I think the Brick comes with a great selection of accessories already and I personally have no need to plug the carb. I quite like using it in fact.

I think it's important to note that since a lot of people vape for medical reasons, including the carb plug would go a long way towards aiding accessibility for those whose dexterity might be impaired. That's reason enough to include it in my opinion.

I second the, "include with every Brick"-reasoning if only to help some of the less dexterous out. :) I'm by no means in dire straits and I'd wager some would benefit much more than I would from the plug - it will act almost as a luxury for me because this problem only happens with me after extended sessions (the fingers begin to cramp and seemingly dislodge themselves XD) - but it'd be much appreciated by those that DO need it.

Just want to say I'm having a fucking blast with the Brick, regardless of my anatomy's slight-incompatibility :p and have been using it as a desktop to my VapCap. As such, a little Dr. Frankenstein-ing later and I found out my OmniVap actually fits in the intake for the mouthpiece Brick! I've been using the Brick as the first-of-the-day and then using the VapCap and the Brick mouthpiece together as a kind of VapCap-Brick-Sherlock/J-Hook.

IT'S AWESOME.

Phrasing!

"Are we not doing “phrasing” anymore? Which, whatever, that’s fine, but if we’re doing something new and no one told me, THAT I’d have a problem with!"

But seriously... I really want to bubble my Brick with some wood. >.> Dammit.

Update on my technique, as well - Everyone was right about microdosing. My three-jet torch is perfect for covering the intake and getting one big hit (or a few very quick hits) off just enough to cover the screen. I was honestly thinking of pushing a screen just a touch lower (@WakeAndVape might shoot me for this) and putting it just underneath the stock-notch so the airflow path is narrowed a little more (less risk of convection-bowl-middle-browning). Thoughts?

Also sorry to @StickyBricks if you guys are trying to keep things under wraps about the SBL Jr. (even though it IS pictured above!) but anyone interested in a Brick or interested in similar smaller butane-vapes should be all up and down the Sticky Brick Jr. thread.

While I understand this point of view I wouldn't recommend the sticky brick to someone with serious dexterity problems in the first place. Torch = no go! On the other hand, I wanted one so bad (waiting for Hydrobrick) that I made a friend buy one. He loves it, and I get to use it every day. Win-win, manipulation solutions keep my THC horn tooting. Toothpicks or the pointy ends of skewers work fine as carbs for anyone that needs them.

I'd say even if just a few benefited (someone with one hand/arm/people with one difficult limb) it would be worth including and at the risk of sounding like a dick, I really don't think a toothpick is big enough to fill that hole/an effective solution for blocking a carb properly and I love DIY solutions but sometimes the best solution is the product designed for the specific function you intend to use it for.

The torch thing I'll concede, but I know a fair few smokers with disabilities that would jump to anger if someone said they couldn't light their own smokes/joints/candles/whatever. Why not make allowances for those people? :)

a little Dr.
My OmniVap doesn't fit in the mouthpiece hole but it creates a good seal and works perfectly. The Grasshopper also fits with the mouthpiece block hole.

I was inspired by your experimenting so I just tried my E-Nano dry stem with the Brick. I took out the heat intake stem and o-ring. The nano stem has to be held in place as it is a lot smaller than the heat intake port. I'm sure I could probably source an o-ring that would hold it in place. It works well, besides being a little cumbersome. The 18mm gong is almost a perfect fit but it is a little too small.

Why would I do this? Because I can.

It's cool how the modular design of the Brick lets you vape other vapes. Sure, my log can vape flowers and concentrates, but it can't vape a vaporizer. The Brick can do all three.

I'm a dry guy mainly so it's nice to have the Brick's longer airpath and visual feedback, even when using other vapes.

I agree with @lemmeadem, using the mouthpiece block like this does indeed feel like a Sherlock/J-hook. On steroids. With wood. :brow:

I have a feeling you would love the Brick @ataxian. I know you're not a fan of portables but this thing hits like a desktop, and never runs out of batteries. In my opinion it performs like a cordless butane powered log vape with built in J-hook.

It has crazy thick glass, for some reason I think you might appreciate that... ;)

You should check out the upcoming Sticky Brick Junior too: http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/sticky-brick-junior-by-sticky-brick-labs.22355/

Well... @WakeAndVape has been fired. No! I kid!!

Wake has been nothing but awesome, but at this time cannot officially join the team. Commercial interests on FC have to abide by the rules, which includes not critiquing other companies vaporizers and that would take away what makes WakeandVape Wakeandvape. He is still a valuable member of the beta team and I expect his hardest criticism, but I would hate to take away his ability to speak freely on FC. Maybe in the future he will be joining us in a more official capacity, but at this moment it's not viable for anyone. I apologize for being too gung-ho with my announcement and getting ahead of myself. I should've handled that better, talked to the mods, and then let our customers know. I went about it completely backwards and it's entirely my fault. Sorry about any confusion, and sorry to Wakeandvape for tying him up in something unnecessarily. These are exciting times for me and I let my enthusiasm override my brain.

I'm really diggin' the green on cherry contrast and feel very satisfied with the quality and my purchasing experience. I bought the Brick from PIU, so this was my first purchase direct from SBL.

I purchased the ninth and received a confirmation immediately, a processing later in the day, and a shipped confirmation with tracking the following morning. It shipped priority two-day, arriving by way of North Carolina to California on the twelfth. The box was discrete, the glass well bubble wrapped, and the sender reads SBL. I appreciate that it ships with this innocuous acronym. It doesn't matter too much in my case but I've received packages in the past with return labels that were pretty cringe worthy.

Hmm, in retrospect, I missed a golden opportunity to test SBL's commitment to customer service by requesting a custom drawing of something ridiculous..

The glass itself looks flawless and appears to have the same id as the stock, making vapor production and use indistinguishable. It's easy to see the vapor while drawing, something I was concerned with as I enjoy that visual feedback. The only real notable difference is the degree of bend in the mouthpiece, I don't prefer one to the other in this regard and mouth feel is the same.

All in all, very satisfied with my purchase and still much enamored with the Brick
Thank you, SBL, you guys rock!!

That looks amazing! The glass is beautiful, and your brick is very nice too, I like the grain pattern on that cherry! Eventually I will get some new exotic glass myself.

Thank you, kindly- pretty smitten, myself!

A select few of my vapes have, upon very first use, had me holding it out as if I'd never seen the damn thing before and literally saying, "Wow!". The Brick was one of these... now I simply have to look at it for similar sentiment :)

I don't typically spend much on strictly aesthetic purchases but, since the Brick resides largely in hand when home, I thought it deserving. The stock glass will be nice to have as a backup or the occasional field trip.

@lemmeadem, when using the insert image tile from the toolbar, use the direct link option on Imgur. You'll know you did it correctly because the actual pic will appear in the body before posting.

Your image did not show, hope this helps

I am very happy to let everyone know that I have been talking to @mvapes and Scratched Glass will be getting a package of mouthpiece/intake combos this week and we will soon be offering his beautiful work on our site. I am always impressed with his work and we are excited to be working with another FC member.
