Alright, last time I’ll ever bring it up, I promise haha.
I was one of the million people approached to be sent a unit to do a review, i had heard of yocan before, but never used their devices. I was kind of taken back that they randomly asked me, but I was more than happy to send my personal home address. After I had sent my info, I was told I would receive shipping info. Sweet. Well, that’s the last i’ve heard.
Let me be clear, I’m not upset that I didn’t get something for free, or as a “favor” for reviewing the unit. I honestly don’t care as I have plenty of toys and I don’t even have the time to sit down and enjoy them.
What bothers me, and surely would bother others more than it does bother me, was that i gave them my personal home address and info, and that’s basically the last I’ve heard. I’m a private guy, but it’s not a huge deal, just a address, but to others, it is a big deal.

I was in you boat too,but at one point Yocan contacted me and told me that they send review units in batches, and also the pause due to the holidays also further delayed it.. They will probably contact you at one point,i suggest messaging them directly on their e-mail
.Anyway my unit is still stuck at customs and i have no idea how i am gonna get cause they said re-declaration is impossible.. and demand the non existent payment transaction copy...
Oh dear,i'm sorry i didn't reply you in time because of the holiday, i said we will send you one for review then we will,yes,i told @Abysmal Vapor the same,we ship review units in different batches,you can see the reviewers on the FC forum,some get on Aug,some on Sep,and some on Oct.
Your personal info is of no use to me but ship the review item,so please don't worry.the same to @Vitolo ,we are Yocan Company,we won't do anything to hurt you,but offer new products for review.

I’ve been using the XL for about 2 weeks now. It is a really nice pen for the money. I like that it has an adjustable air vent. I LOVE the little concentrate container that screws into the bottom of the pen. It hits like a beast, and can get you as medicated as good as a dab, but at a price. The chamber is massive, holding four quartz coils. You can load a lot more concentrate into this pen than any other I have seen.
As a result, you will end up using A LOT more concentrate with this pen, and some can see that as wasteful. Yocan has advised that the user vaporize all of the concentrate that you load, but I’m not sure that is always possible if you really fill this thing up. I also think taste has been sacrificed with four coils. The pen gets so hot that it can ruin the flavors of your concentrates.
Personally, I cannot afford to waste concentrate, so I will often times just put a little concentrate on two of the coils, and that will be all I need. Even then, I’m not always able to finish all the concentrate I have loaded.
I’ve been checking to see if concentrate has been leaking out of the coil area and into the battery area, but so far it has not. Perhaps because I do not load much concentrate on the coils. I’m not sure how that will stand up over time. I’ve soaked the mouthpiece and cap in ISO, but haven’t felt the need to clean the coils yet. It has a huge battery, and it’s lasted a lot longer than other pens I have owned. I like that a lot.
I’ll continue to use the XL, but probably not as the manufacturer intended. I will always load smaller amounts of concentrate. That should be taken into consideration when reading my review.

I just wanna share my disappointment with how thing turned out with my customs situation... All that i did was out of respect to Yocan company ,even though they declared the unit at some random price (25$) and it was labeled as a purchase and not like a free review unit.
First i had to take 2 hours off work so i can catch their working hours for which i got a 7 $ reduction in my daily salary for that (3.5$/hour), i spent 15$ on cab/taxi cause the customs are located at 1 hour drive from the city,and public transport is not an option cause it takes 2+ hours one way. I went to a legal advisor to get EORI number and some other legal document which costed 5$ and then went straight to DHL,hoping that they can free my unit with just a copy of communication with Yocan where it is mentioned that this is a review unit,because i was put in situation which demands a copy of the payment,which doesnt exist...
Well DHL asked me for Another 15$ so they can represent me 2 x 8$ (they tax 8$ storage tax for each day after the 3rd day of arrival and also clarified that they dont guarantee that they will be able to free it from Customs because there is no proof of payment and if they manage i would have to cough another 5$ for the VAT tax + 8$ for the next day in storage.. I did a quick math and realized that i will have to cough another 40$ dollars ,just so they can try to get it free .. and if that happens things would land at 45$ + 15$ i already spent for transport ,5 $ for the legal document and 7$ for the two working hours i had to get off, (72 $ dollars ) ,so i decided to cut my losses at 27$ and not to pursue this further..
@Yocantech Sorry guys, but i am not feeling like spending that much $ even if there was a big change of getting the unit out of the customs .. It is clearly your mistake not labeling the unit as review unit and declaring it at 25$ when you say in communication that i am getting a free review unit. I probably can buy 2-3 of these pens for that 72$.
I tried to explain the situation to you in a e-mail before even going there but the response i got was , ""cant you just pay the taxes ???"" ... Now i am 27$ down,and i just wasted my time and nerves,but i learned a valuable lesson which is "Dont bother to run around fixing other people's mistakes..."

Today I loaded my XL with a larger amount of wax than for my first tries and connected it to my bubbler using a silicon tubing.
In results I got some very big hits and was pretty medicated. taste was slightly better and the visual feedback helped me to find the perfect timing, 2 seconds at max and repeat as needed (2/3 times for me).
It might be better to make a sort of XL Torch rather than an XL Evolve since this big clouds are much more manageable using water filtration. did somebody tried the XL atty on the Torch base?

Hello @Yocantech, and everyone,
I dont know if this issues was solved here. I bought a Yocan Evolve Plus pen and after one the of use my vape dont turn off, and the button light is on, When I press the button the coils never turn red, I was wondering If any one here had this problem before or I the brand @Yocantech can help me solve this problem, I read that I need to uncharge my device but I looking for another opinion, and If this match I will follow the recommendations. Maybe this problem has a in-home solution

After having helped a local patient acquire a large number of these pens (the evolve Plus... Not the XL)
out of a couple hundred that he received, 5 patients of his had this issue.
5 out of 200 is not many, but still a temporary inconvenience.
The YocanTech rep at the time was most cooperative. He had me make a video showing each battery and it's action.... followed by numbering them with a number (1-5)... followed by a Vise Grip crushing the charging area of the pen.
He then sent all 5 batteries.
Only having one XL at the moment (but will be ordering some for a ;local dispensary), The battery has acted fine, and has no issue.

I have found that I can pleasurably do small hits that are vaporous, and flavorful by just holding the button for a couple of seconds... and with ample wax to slow down those coils a bit.
When it comes to concentrates (and I use a great deal) I prefer chasing flavor, and not seeking the medicated wallop.

100% best upgrade for this is a 6-7in length of silicone tubing over the mouth piece. That extra length gives plenty of cooling to keep the bigger hits manageable.

Looks like yocan is getting in on the cartridge game now. They've got a new device call the "stix" which is a vv stick battery with a cart for oils. Still waiting to see more info about it though

I love my evolve plus xl I recently grabbed a second one as a just in case lol, i love the puffco pro too I was using but I have to have the charger with it and a separate wax container with the evolve i can use any mini USB charger and has a container built in, better airflow than my sai as well
