Hey I have one with a broken screen but still working. If yours still doesnt work with a new battery I can offer to change screens, so you send me yours and I put your screen in my V3 and then you can have a working device. But then there is postage costs.. An option anyways

Another idea, build an ih for your dynavap? Cheaper to build one yourself

After a bit over 2 years I'm afraid my Xmax V3 Pro might be dead. Maybe it's the battery, since I don't have a spare to test it with, so will try buying another and see if that cures it. But it's not turning on randomly and I feel like with my luck it's probably the device and not the battery. The battery was working fine / holding charge etc until today when I went to turn on my V3 Pro and it's not starting.

I'll be sad if it's dead.. it's my only portable so I'll be back to the Arizer Extreme Q and Volcano Digit if it's conked it. I can't afford another portable atm. Well, I had a Vleaf Go which I hated and combusted with easily so gave that away, and also have a dynavap, again which I can combust with if I'm forgetful with the clicks.
Hi, I'm sorry for the inconvenience, is your V3Pro simply doesn't turn on randomly? No error message? It may be the button too... Did you was able to test your battery or to try another battery to check if it works better with? Please, let me know...

That's super kind - where are you located? If in the USA it might be quite expensive to post there and back from Australia. But it's very kind of you to offer.

It just doesn't turn on at all now - no display or error message, no buzz when pressing buttons. I tried a new battery and still not working. It was an early production model gifted from Monk in Australia so it has sentimental value, but I did use it regularly for 2.5 years so it had a good run. But sad that it's not working. If it was the button it would still show the charging status when plugged in which is sadly doesn't.
I did drop it a couple of times over the years but it never failed from that - it had been months since I last dropped it on my wood floor. So it just randomly stopped working one night. Perhaps from the cold as it is very cold in Australian Winter right now.

I created an account here because I was so impressed with my xmax v3 pro vaporizer. This thing hits like a champ. The sessions are good enough at 6 minutes though I almost wish it could hit 7 minutes. I typically grind my flower but I also press in chunks of whole flower. I ended up changing out the battery to a 3000 mAh 20A discharge button top battery. The length of time between recharges is at least 1 more session if not more. I use session mode at max temp and just love this device.

Previously I owned a Storz & Bickel Crafty and the Healthy Rips Fury Edge. I believe this is the best device of the three. The price is right. What sold me on the vaporizer was the replaceable batteries. Cleaning it has been pretty simple. I have concerns about the rubber plug that holds the mouthpiece channel and screen, may wear out, but the rest of the device seems like it should last a long time.

This is my primary vaporizer. I typically use it 4-5 times a day. I have not used it for any concentrates yet, but I plan to use some rosin in it eventually, more than likely on a small bit of flower.

Thanks for making such a great affordable vaporizer!

Any ideas?

I had been charging the battery inside the device for 2.5 years, the same battery. Using my powered USB hub running on my desktop computer.

I also had possibly used a phone wall wart USB charger at some stage, and *maybe* a 2.1a fast charge slot potentially once or twice.

Sorry if I missed something but have you changed out the battery for a new one?

I was going to say battery too, but apparently it's not that. Do the batteries work okay in other devices (if you have them)?

Yep tried two different batteries, also my battery is working fine in another vape I got recently

I'm guessing either it just 'died' after 2.5 years or it could have been because of using a 2.1A fast charger once or twice without realising/thinking. I now have an XTAR VC2 battery charger to avoid these issues in future.

I don't think it's due to the fast charger, maybe check the battery terminals installed in the vape battery compartment, maybe they need cleaning to allow the electricity to flow properly... Maybe you can try to put a drop of iso on the button in order it disolves eventual resin keeping it stucked (do you feel the clic?)...

Due to Government intervention in my life/work, I am late to post my joy over this tool in this thread.
I am convinced that this is an ideal tool for most of my disabled patients to use as a first vape.
The vapor production surprises me in it's thickness, and the controls are so easily accessed.
The top's design is a great improvement to the fit and seal.
Thanks @XMAXVAPORIZER !

The click is fine with the button - if it was just the button, it would still show the charging symbol when plugged in I think. Did you mean the screen buttons, or the battery 'buttons'? I can depress the battery bits. I'll try using some IPA on it. It doesn't 'click' but does depress fully (the bottom bit). It looks perfectly clean, so I doubt this will fix, but will give it a shot.

So I ended up getting two replacement Xmax V3 Pros second hand.
Both were working fine until today.
Now I notice with one of them, the battery door / cover doesn't shut on the bottom. Only the top magnet works.
Now, because I have had 3 Xmax V3 Pros, I have 3 battery covers / doors. And all 3 covers work fine on the working unit, and all 3 don't shut properly on the faulty one.
Has anyone else experienced this where the battery door won't shut properly with one or both internal magnets?
Is there any way I could fix this? I'm currently resorting to using a rubber band, which isn't very elegant.

I'm not sure you read my post.

"Now, because I have had 3 Xmax V3 Pros, I have 3 battery covers / doors. And all 3 covers work fine on the working unit, and all 3 don't shut properly on the faulty one."

I have 3 doors/lids. They all work fine on one unit, but not another, which suddenly stopped closing at the bottom yesterday.
So there must be an internal magnet inside the Xmax V3 Pro itself for the door / lid to connect to.

I'm asking about trying to fix this, a replacement will not work since I have 3 doors already and they all work fine on one unit, but not the other for some reason.

Have you had to re-attach the body magnet (it could be on backwards) or has the body lost it's magnet?

Where is the body magnet? Any chance could take a picture?

Sadly no, it was a gift from a friend second hand, so I was wondering if I might be able to fix it myself.

I don't see body side magnets on the version I have. Maybe they're behind the plastic shell?

The cover definitely has magnets glued on, and I noticed when when one fell off that it sort of looks like it's still there. Not saying it's the case here, but you'll want to be sure the cover has both magnets actually in place by touching them against a ferrous metal object.

I mean, there must be something metal or magnetic for the magnets to 'stick' to on the main body.

As stated previously, the cover works FINE on another unit - so the door magnets are fine. I have just further tested it by placing it onto a magnetic screwdriver and it sticks fine to it. So there's something wrong with the main unit/body that is not allowing the magnet to function in the door.

Hey @ninjagaijin! The magnets on the body are internal. Maybe it got loose inside and makes bad contact?

I can leave short note after years of use.

I managed to almost fry the motherboard of the first one. Charging stopped working, but I could still use it with external batter charger. I was impressed that it just did not die, but kept on going.

Definitely do recommend the glass mouthpiece. Its not perfect, but far better than plastic mouthpiece. Silicone do wear out after 2 years of use for me, I do remove the metal insert and use vape mesh as the screen instead. Between glass piece and silicone. With that config also 3x glass dynavap screens as inserts comes handy to put it between the herb and screen. Gives me better performance and its easier to keep it clean.

I was checking the portable vapes for the upgrade, and its not easy if you keep in mind my priorities. Resonable price, glass mouthpiece, removable battery. 26650 cell, fast charging, less silicone in the mouthpiece and I would be happy. So what about v4 pro : P

Had a brainwave. Maybe something magnetic pulled the internal magnet away from the position it needed to be in, like the magnet in my BCG.

So I put the bottom of the vape/battery door close to the middle of my BCG magnet.

I heard a snap, that must have been a magnet being put back into place.

Now the door closes properly again :)

We'll see for how long, but at least I found a fix that doesn't involve using a rubber band :)

Hopefully this helps someone in the future if they have a similar issue.
