@jakeattack77 - Why not order from Planet of the Vapes / PotV ?

I love PIU and PotV - probably the top two customer service oriented retailers I've done business with. PotV usually gives up an additional freebie than PIU - Tightvac container. Everything else should be the same including free shipping. PotV has an unconditional 14 day money back guarantee whether you've used the device or not. If it's a difference in price I'm sure PotV will match.

You can't go wrong with either company.

When I close the battery door I can't just push it down and have it snap/lock back into place. I have to hold the clip that releases the latch open, close the door and then release the clip to lock it.

Is anyone able to just close the battery door and have it lock into place?

I tend to like vapornation their free grinders that I have a good collection of their grinders which have been better than most of the freebie grinders I have received.

Yes that's the normal on mine also. Had to get used to it.

I have the same issue, I've just gotten used to it. I can be a pain though.

Same for me, after having tried to exchange the 18650 batteries several times, I stopped because of the difficulty of closing this part, and especially the risk of breakage of the small latch. I recharge with the USB cable provided only now.

thats a bit concerning, can anyone show a pic or video of what the issue is?
I guess its fine if its annoying to get the battery out, long as i can take it out occasionally to replace it.

I'd say sort of like mildly infuriating. Most of the time I can get it in the first shot and don't have to mess with it but if my nail slips it takes a moment to fight with it. Once it locks in it's good and I think it's stiffness (and how good it locks the battery in) is part of the reason it's annoying.

Last night I tried a fine grind like I'd use in my MFLB. Found it to be completely unnecessary to grind that fine. Standard medium grind, like most of the free aluminum grinders we get in a vape purchase produce, are looking to be my sweet spot.

I haven't found the upper end of a bowl packing level yet .... I keep packing it a little more each new bowl and she keeps plowing right through them without a resistance problem. Nice.

Same here, a typical medium grind seems to be the sweet spot for this vape. I've packed mine extremely tight and only noticed a slight change in resistance. Last night I packed it so tight that it came out like a mini brick (like it'll do on the pax sometimes). I've also stuck a small bit of wax in the middle of a bowl and it came out amazingly. Not even messy, just thick vapor and amazing taste. Haven't used the wax canister though.

One things for sure, I do love this thing!

Thanks to all your glowing reviews I've checked in and got one of these coming my way now too (it was actually right around the corner anyway it seems since I also test for Topgreen already). Been a while since I've used any session conduction vapes, but been feeling that itch lately especially for sharing with others. Seems like this could be one of the good-good ones, glad to hear about the grind and everything else, look forward to trying it out soon. I will be back

Just wanted to drop by and give this vape a big thumbs up  After 3 davinci IQ RMAs, I have given up on it for now. But have happily found that the Starry makes for a much more user friendly experience ! So glad its finally reached the UK :)

@Shit Snacks I am also looking forward to acquiring this Conduction vape. I need something that is easier to load and unload than the Alfa. I had an IQ and did not get the effects I was looking for with it. I think this little machine will do nicely for the every day carry. I only need a pull or 2 for attitude adjustment during my day. With a removable battery and small form factor, this should do nicely! Don't tell the Convection snobs that me and Shitty were here, they are a tough bunch.

After 2.5 days of testing the Starry I asked the lovely lady who is helping me test it to tell me what she thinks of it. She said:
- It's cute, light weight, smooth, easy to use, fits my hand better than the other vapes and it's the perfect vape to put in my pocketbook.

When I asked her if she would prefer to use the Flowermate 5.0 or the Focus Pro she surprised me by saying she preferred the Starry but that she would really love one in Hot Pink. Seems she is looking at the Starry as a fashion statement as well. This aspect didn't even show up on my radar till she called it cute and wanted it in hot pink. She hasn't had to prep the Starry for a session yet so one of the tests we'll be doing today is having her set it up and then I'll ask her again what her thoughts are.

Couple questions for you folks.....

- What's your opinion of the smell coming off the Starry, compared to other vapes, after the first 4-5 bowls were run through it?

- Me and the lady mentioned above have an average tolerance and it takes about 4 to 5 good draws of better than average herb to get us happy. We are getting about 4 highs per bowl, 2 each per bowl as we are sharing and are considerate of the other person. In essence we are getting somewhere between 12 to 16 draws per bowl which could equate to 3 to 4 highs per bowl. As an out and about vape that means one bowl may be enough for two people during a night out and in our case would definitely be enough for one person. What's your experience in this area?

What only 3, Hell I'm on 5. They sent me their generic "How would you rate the support you received" email. I haven't filled it out yet. I'm still waiting to get my unit. Funny shit. I haven't even got my 5th unit back yet @Davinci_vaporizer and your already sending me emails asking me about the customer service. After 5 units, I think I will be waiting at least a month before filling out that form, LOL. But your so correct @bloomin, the Starry came out right in time actually wish it came out a little earlier, took the place of my IQ no problem at all, the only issue I had is that I just wish it had a bit bigger bowl. But everything else has been perfection. I changed the batteries 3000mah 35AMP. The life is exceptional.

To me, it's not even there but I'm not a good judge. My wife who's a non-toker and has a really good sense of smell says it's not as hidden as the MFLB but much better than the IQ or the Solo. The Pax2 she can smell a mile away.

That'd all depend on tolerance and strain I think. For me, I can do two 5min sessions at 390-400F or 3 5min sessions at 350F-370F. For the most part one session will do me for a few hours but sometimes I go through two. Pretty sure the Saionara has wrecked my tolerance, but I've always had a pretty high tolerance to begin with. I'd say 12-16 draws sound about right per bowl. Taste lasts a while on this vape which is something else I like too. It'll even last longer than my solo.

@slackwaredragon - Thanks for responding! There are so many variables that can change the experience for each person. I like to see if I can find some commonalities and come up with an average. Once I gather all the info I'll be sure to share.

Slack-on!

Eureka! Re-installed the filter assembly in the Staary cover on the first try this morning. Took maybe 20 seconds. I took it apart for cleaning and to remove the inner screen. Gotta see what the draw is like with that screen gone.

I'm just about done testing the herb side of things and may move to the last test before writing it all up.....concentrates. Anyone used the wax cartridge yet?
