What's in your vape right now?

It's not sprayed with anything. Most States have pay-to-play lab testing so there's no real incentive to be accurate. Commiefornia passed some rule this year to combat this, but I haven't heard if it's been implemented yet.

I saw some the other day that claimed over 40% and one that claimed over 60%. I've spoken with scientists who specifically study cannabis, and they all said the same thing, "Unless they are adding THC oil to it, that is just not possible. Pretty much anything over 33% wouldn't leave enough room for the cellulose of the plant mater."
That makes totally sense.
Honestly I think anything over 25% should be called hash not flower.

It's more likely that tests are being "massaged" than legal companies adding oil to real MJ. But either way, I think most of us know now that the THC percentage is not a guaranty of how effective the flower is anyway. It's like the "megapixel" race that digital camera companies were in. Eventually people started figuring out that a higher pixel count is not the only factor in image quality.

2 of my all time favorite strains are supposedly Landrace based. Have you tried Durban Poison or Afgoo aka Afgooey? Very different effects with the Afgoo. Durban Poison is a solid satvia style, but Afgoo is not pure landrace, and usually is more indica / relaxing, but still awesome.
I am very familiar with Durban Poison & love landrace derivatives like White Durban by Rythm as well. I am in MD market but have visited dispensaries in NJ, NY & Rhode Island as well. I think that one i got in NJ. I am consistently looking for new strains based on Landraces. The next one i will post here is 3D by Grow West (western MD grower) . it is a cross with Nigerian sativa Landrace.

Still my opinion that I love the pure characteristics of a real Landrace & strong taste & character. In NJ i also picked up Mag Landrace & Indian Landrace as grown by Verano. These are supposed to be close to what a real Indica Landrace in that region(s) might be. I have heard of Afgoo but never saw it being offered any place i went. It is undoubtedly a hybrid, but if i see it i will buy it. Mag Landrace in particular , vapes well for me.

I am a bit more ambivalent about a bunch of the current offerings in the market like cookies or runtz as they just seem so GENERIC. So i continue to look for other interesting strains with Landrace roots or at least early bred strains like Skunk, or Northern Lights . But i am open to other strains if they come highly recommended. As described in my intro bio I am back to enjoying Cannabis after a 30 some year absence. So what i would see in special cases back in late 70s early 80s was a lot of seedy Colombian, a bit of cheap lousy Mexican. But on rare occasion we got real Thai sticks! , Hawaiian, Acapulco Gold and then homegrown Sinsemilla $$ ! . Trying to find Landraces brings me back.

/SHORT RANT: I think this is the case at most Dispos across the country the amount of information about strains they offer is PATHETIC! Some bizarre food name and of course maybe some info about terpenes. (& maybe not) . Nothing about strain lineage unless you find a dispensary directly tied to some grower. (ex. is Grow West in Cumberland where they grow the stuff) . The photos are so generic they are NOT useful and in MD you can't see what you are buying until you get it. The descriptions are vague and not helpful. I also despise the fact some brands insist on taking a widely available strain and then come up with some stupid name that they come up with and has NO relation to the original strain name. (eg. LA Kush Cake) /END RANT

Anyone else find any true Landraces or Landrace crosses by them? Just curious what is available elsewhere.

My only experience with landrace genetics is with the ones I've grown. Lao Sa, Mazar i Sharif, Ketama. I'm growing right now a Mazar x White Rhino cross. I've no interest in the modern " froot loops" crosses, they are all the same and ruining the base genetics of good cannabis

Thanks pop! I have heard of those strains especially Mazar and White Rhino. I am at the mercy of my local dispos, but rest assured i would love to try those in a heartbeat if it were available. I try not to be so disparaging of the current "Froot Loops" strains but it gave me a chuckle. Enjoy your evening!

Switched it up last night for my session. It was Purpletine ! A nice Indica leaning strain just before bedtime. It is based on Pai Gow X Mimosa V6 by Essence (Verano). 1.34 % on the terps .
This is maybe a bit too moist to vape, but i had gotten and wanted to try it.

I only have a PAX for flower, but switched up a few things going with a very loose pack and a full chamber and i noticed it was better than i was getting previously.

(i have to fix the links for this)

Most People here where I live really do just make up names or go on-line to find Buds that look like what they have and name it by what looks closest(never mind what they have maybe an indica dom strain and the herb in the pic straight sativa or vice a versa)

So All I can say for sure is; I'm workin' some killer dank that feels like indica, all purple and rusty orange hairs on dark green almost blue buds with a heavy sedative effect.
that's why I've always grown my own. Screw those ignorant dealers who only care to collect your money and don't know shit and don't care about the weed they sell!

I'm not here for a long time, but for a good time
A recent acquisition of a Tinymight2 Purple Heart--and yes, this vape's reputation for delivering delicious vapor is well-deserved--motivated me to go out yesterday to procure some particularly sweet herb.

I ended up getting 3 eights of different strains from CBX (a top-shelf dispensary grower).

At the moment I've got the TM2 set to zero (low) with Mountain Sage loaded. The combo is so sweet.

Lemon, lime, basil, pine, and florals. A full spectrum taste experience.

Mmmm.

Bill
Love CBX! Their strains have never left me wanting and they have a diverse line up. If you get an opportunity, check out mountain sage. it gives me a good relaxed feel and gets my creative juices going. taste wise it reminds me of sweet tart candies. it's my reliable go to strain.

*edit. you DID get mountain sage 🤦🏻‍♀️. I blame my current lack of reading comprehension on not enough mountain sage 😂

This stuff is no joke! I have had great luck with the brand Raw Garden. This "Green Crack" is incredible! A strong sativa/uplifting and energizing. The smell and taste is very citrus/lemon.

Including tax this was around $26. I tend to find stuff from this brand for $18-$30 inc tax. As one of the less expensive brands it punches way above it's weight (so to speak). Though I have seen some dispensaries selling the exact same ones for as much as $40 before tax. I think if you see it for that much anywhere I would immediately go to another dispensary. It's every bit is good as some other brands that I've had for $40, but since so many places sell it for less...

I don't miss the periods with bad weed but I definitely do miss the many fine landrace flavors from points south. I'm finding decent weed locally for ~$65/oz. It's not top shelf, and it's hard to pick out the best (landrace or sativa hybrid) strains, but blending 6-8 strains always seems to create a nice vapor. I don't vape more, but an inventory is required to make a blend. A little freezer space helps. It won't taste like Oaxacan Gold, but the blend is usually better than any of the component strains IMO. Not saying to blend bad strains, the weed you select makes a big difference in the quality of the blend. I'm guessing it's the range of psychoactive compounds that makes it so different and effective. A freshly ground blend of sativas will usually smell very "fresh" and it's usually smooth and strong. It might have a suffocating effect if you get two back to back hits.
b-LEND11-24.jpg

This pic is weak, sorry, it's what's currently in my vape. 8 strains I've shown before, including homegrown AF, Durban Poison smalls, several surprising local sativa hybrid strains(??), and a some blended leftovers. I wish I had some Blue Dream or something else sweet. A little bit of sweetness goes a long way in a blend, and it makes the exhale that much better IMO.

after many mistakes, I finally found a reliable bud tender at my favorite dispensary. He knows exactly what I like. I'm surprised how much difference it's making. His shop usually has ~130 strains, but only gets a good sativa in my price range every month or two. Good strains tend to go fast. Gotta load up when opportunity knocks, etc. It's a welcome change. You can bet I'm tipping this young man.

WNC CBD sells "hemp" bud with THCA... so I've bought a couple different strains, Pink Kush and some Skunk. The Kush was nice but the Skunk was excellent! Jusrices not bad and if your state allows CBD bud via the internet check them out the have a lot of interesting bud!

A buddy here lived in an illegal state and got into thca hemp. Turned me onto a couple strains from Arete, I think. Pretty nice stuff.

My fist time trying this brand, as well as this strain. Admfter the Black Friday half off deal, it was only $30 inc tax for this 7g jar.

Smells and tastes amazing. Very sweet and grape/berry notes. It's taste and effects are much better than it looks in the pics.

The bud tender warned me that it was "smalls", and she wasn't lying. They are teeny tiny. Smaller than any smalls I've ever gotten in a jar of smalls before. 😂🔎 But it's not dry, and the effects are a well ballenced, chill/relaxing and stronger than I expected for the price I paid.

I'm definitely going to try other strains from this brand if I can get them at that same discounted price in the future, and would definitely get this strain again at that discounted price. But I've certainly had higher quality stuff when paying a lot more. I would say this is kind of on the high-end side of mid range flower. Unless I find really insane deals, I don't buy the real high-end stuff because of the amount that I go through each month.

This is definitely better than most stuff I've gotten around this price. I think, in part, it's because this is the house brand of the dispo I bought it at, so there's no middle man.

I've had the strain, juicy fruit, many times over the years and it's one of my favorites for daytime use. It's definitely got a sweet flavor to it with all sorts of different candy fruit elements to the smell and taste.

While looking for Black Friday deals at local legal dispensaries, I found one that had cheaper prices than anywhere else I've seen, on CBX brand concentrates, and for Black Friday they had 50% off their normal prices on the CBX stuff.

So including the ridiculous amount of taxes they charge in California, this rosin only cost $13. 😳 (Though I did see the exact same brand and strain listed for as much as $40 before tax. That's definitely too much to pay fir this.)

I thought there would be no way it was any good but for the price I figured I'd give it a shot. It is without a doubt the best cheap rosin I have found yet. Since I never tried any CBX stuff previously I didn't want to go crazy so I just tried a few different forms and quality levels that they had of their concentrates. I'm definitely not and aficionado on concentrates and have never bought anything very expensive so I'm not saying this is as good as some stuff other people may have tried, but certainly for the price I'm quite happy with it and will get it again, as well as try many of their other products now.

Some of the other cheap rosins that I've tried left the q-tip very black after cleaning the ruby bowl, but not this one.

If you like highly energizing sativas, this is definitely a good choice.

As can be seen in the picture it's kind of a dark orangey golden color and not light yellow as in the photo on the box (tisk tisk, naughty naughty), And I think the amount and style of the packaging is a ridiculous waste of money and future landfill space. But for the actual reasons I bought it, I'm quite happy with it. I've definitely paid more than twice as much for stuff that wasn't as good. But I've also paid twice as much for stuff that was a bit better. 😂

I sure do miss the days when I had friends that I could have hung out with to share in my fun testing of all these new products I picked up on Black Friday. But it's still fun testing it out and sharing the info with my FC friends, here.

Finishing off my last bud of NYC Haze for the anniversary of the dedication of Joey Ramone Place 🎸, 21 years ago today (corner of Bowery and East Second Street in NYC).

NYC Haze, is also called “The Piff”, “Black Haze”, “Piff Haze" or “Frankie 😎”. I bought this classic 1980s highly potent strain from a nearby semi legal lower east side dispensary back in March, and will miss it when it's gone 🌿💨

One of my all time fav strains, Dragon's breath! SO good
my next batch has been stuck at the post office because of the strikes and I've been vaping $10/oz shake for the past two weeks :D
I don't mind it though! I hope Canada post workers get what they want. My order can wait there a bit longer

Scotti Cake is, apparently, an unauthorized Biscotti Cake clone. The online description is a nearly identical copy. It usually takes me a few days to get a feel for a strain but I felt everything I needed to feel after only one hit of this. It wound my crank, if you know what I mean. Only bought 1/2 ounce because I didn't trust the bud tender, but I'll be going back for more at $75/oz.
